A great service for an affordable price!

I am very grateful to Mistr for their dedication to providing excellent service to all of their patients. I always get my prescription refills on time, and the doctor I speak with is always kind, courteous and non-judgemental. This is an all-around great service and I'm very satisfied with every aspect of it.

poor service

Excellent service, drastically needed for healthcare in this country, which is sadly lacking, I rely on them, and I hope they are able to continue in the future in a greater capacity even. They are very reliable and follow up is excellent.

update: Dec 2025 - customer service is failing. wont accept my insurance which changed , didnt try to work with my new one which forced me to change services to another co. which did and was immediately sucessful! their system is increasingly unstable, and their testing does not meet the standard of care recommended by many professional orgs. they let me down !

I love this company

Awesome

Hey mistr is pretty awesome! The visit is done online, you do your own test and as long as you do it right, the results are in in a couple of days. Then before you know it, your prep is in your mailbox.

Poor communication

A Reflection on My Experience with MISTR and PREP Eligibility TestingNormally

Normally, when things don’t work out, one can simply move on. However, I felt it was important to share my experience with MISTR regarding PREP eligibility testing.

I had been on PREP for five years before the COVID-19 pandemic but stopped during that time. This year, I decided to restart my PREP regimen and came across an advertisement for MISTR on social media. I applied for PREP testing with MISTR twice but was denied on both occasions due to my creatinine levels not meeting their required standards. After my last test in August 2024, I hesitated to try again, fearing the same outcome.

On a friend’s recommendation, I reached out to another organization that also has a strong presence on social media. To my surprise, when tested by this organization, my creatinine levels were within the normal reference range. Additionally, they provided me with both the detailed lab results and a personalized message from my provider. I'm now back on PREP and also taking Doxy, which MISTR never mentioned as an option. In contrast, MISTR only sent a decision message without any supporting lab documentation.

This experience has left me wondering how many others have been denied PREP by MISTR due to similar creatinine-level issues. How many individuals may have missed opportunities for HIV prevention because of these barriers?

While I don’t know which lab MISTR uses, I encourage others seeking PREP to explore different organizations if they face similar challenges. Don’t give up—get your creatinine levels tested independently and seek care from organizations that provide transparency and thorough communication..

Simple and fast.

Very simple instructions no need for customer service. Doctor has answered all my questions. Medication arrives on time. Test kit is delivered and returned on a timely manner. No issues after being with them for a year now.

It used to be good

It used to be good. Now, they repeatedly lose my test kits, never acknowledge that they even received them, no follow-up messages ever anymore, nor reminders to get tested. When I was able to reach customer service, they were very rude because I was irritated,
