Absolutely terrible customer service.
I had to move home unexpectedly due to personal circumstances and contacted Hey! Broadband to cancel my contract. After numerous phone calls, emails and a great deal of back and forth, I tried everything I could to avoid cancelling.
First, I asked if I could transfer my broadband to my new address. I was told that Hey! Broadband does not provide service there, so transferring the contract wasn’t possible.
I then asked if the account could be transferred to the new tenant who is moving into my old property so the service could continue at the original address. That was also refused.
Despite offering every reasonable solution, I am still expected to pay around £500 in early termination fees. In other words, I have to pay hundreds of pounds for absolutely nothing.
I wasn’t leaving because I found a better deal or because I was unhappy with the broadband. I simply had to move unexpectedly, and I genuinely tried everything possible to keep the contract going. Hey! Broadband rejected every solution and still expects me to pay.
This is one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. If you sign a long-term contract with this company, be aware that if life circumstances change, don’t expect any flexibility or understanding—even when they can’t provide service at your new address and won’t allow someone else to take over the account at your old one.
I will never use Hey! Broadband again and would not recommend them to anyone.
If I could I would give 0 stars.
Excellent customer service! The advisor had an amazing telephone manner, a lovely voice and was very polite throughout the call. They listen carefully, answered my question and reassured me that everything that I requested will ne done. I felt confident that my issue was in good hands,a good credit to the company!

Yadwinder was able to explain the problem and fix the issue neatly. The initial install had a latent problem which only manifested recently, causing the connection to drop and recover randomly.
HeyBroadband were helpful in getting the problem resolved.

Yadwinder was great! Quick installation and got the job done very quickly and also hoovered up all the mess made from the drilling to run the cables.

Ash from the Technical Support Team is an absolute Gem of a person. Not only was he polite, courteous & patient but also very knowledgeable about his profession. He applied various methods to approach & finally resolve my problem. I would always ask for him if I had any issues moving forward & would comfortably commend his name for promotion as he rightfully deserves this!!!!

I've been a Gigafast 900 customer since 2023, paying £28/month. When my minimum term ended in October 2025, Hey Broadband moved me to £55/month. I'm still paying it. That's a 96% increase — my price literally doubled the moment my contract ended.
Now read what Hey Broadband publish on their own website.
From "Flexible broadband: Your guide to rolling contracts" (17 March 2026)
"start with a 12 or 24-month contract that automatically becomes rolling monthly at the same price once your minimum term ends"
Repeated in the same article as "the security of rolling to monthly at the same price afterwards."
From "Frequently asked questions about broadband renewals" (3 February 2026):
"UK Broadband providers rely on customer inertia, knowing many won't notice the price increase or bother switching."
"At Hey!Broadband, we've eliminated the frustrating 'renewal game' where prices double overnight just because your contract ended."
My price doubled overnight because my contract ended. Both posts were published while they were charging me £55. This isn't an old policy they've since fixed it's what they were telling the public at the exact time they were doing the opposite to me.
It gets worse.
Over nine months their team called me 5-6 times. Never once left a voicemail. The numbers they call from don't identify them they show as unidentified London landlines on my phone, even though one of them connects straight back to Hey Broadband when you dial it. Their published customer service number does display as "Hey Broadband." So they can identify themselves on outbound calls. They just don't.
When I finally answered, the agent told me she was "not allowed" to leave voicemails. On 11 July I called Customer Services (a 40-minute call). The agent checked with his supervisor and confirmed that agents ARE allowed to leave voicemails, and that I had been given incorrect information.
Their retention team then tried to close a 24-month contract with me verbally, on the phone, and initially refused to put it in writing. When I insisted, they agreed to email the offer. It never arrived. Customer Services have since confirmed the offer is sitting on my account records.
Meanwhile their Direct Debit emails reach me flawlessly every single month.
Nine months. £27/month overpaid. £243 and counting.
A formal complaint and Subject Access Request have been submitted. If this isn't resolved, I'll be taking it to CISAS.
Hey Broadband, you wrote the blog post. Try reading it yourself!!

Update, 17 July:
Hey! Broadband's reply confirms renewal contact was email only, and that their outbound call and voicemail practice is now under review. It does not address the central issue that I have been charged £55 when their own terms and my Service Confirmation Email state otherwise. That is £27 above my contracted rate every month, and I am still being charged it while the complaint is 'under investigation' around £270 over ten months so far, and rising each month it remains unresolved.

It’s been 3 days today I have no internet service. They said router is faulty and sending it to me after 2 working days. Never bother to arrange engineer.
Please guys avoid this service. It’s a worse service provider ever you will see and it’s going to be disaster when there no internet and the people have no understanding whatsoever.
Better to pay extra with others providers than ever considering this worse poor customer services.

So hey broadband like to randomly block your VPN. We had it working for months then blocked. Raised ticket fixed within a few hours. Nice email to say it's fixed if any issues get in touch
This week same issue however this time the only way to fix it is to pay more for a static IP which I have done as we need to work. 5 days later we still can't login. Their support team have no updates and just keep escalating the issue but with no resolve.
Service not being provided but expect me to front the bill if I want to leave. We won't be able to pay any bill if we can't earn as lost a week's worth of pay so far because of this
Edit:
2 weeks later and still without our access to VPN so have lost 50% pay this month. Any updates from hey broadband are few and far with doing exactly the same fix every time which obviously doesn't fix it
The engineer Chris bellott was amazing at his job. I’m online and with good speed.

Despite being told that my final in voice was £16.44 to the end of my contract.
I now have an Invoice for £73.08 Billing post leaving. This is after returning hardware after the end of my contract.
It has been a nightmare leave them with being told that I was lying over previous conversations to end the contract. I was billed at double the agreed rate for a month also. although this was denied,
