Written by the company

HBP offers support to organisations in contact with individuals and families either threatened by or experiencing homelessness. The legal definition of homelessness includes those experiencing domestic and other abuse, financial difficulties and care and support needs that make their accommodation unsuitable. We deliver regular training courses on homelessness law for lay people. Building on this understanding, HBP provides ongoing support to staff to put this understanding into practice through regular case management meetings and follow-up contact via telephone and email. Additional work can be agreed with organisations.

Useful

I've attended a number of courses which have been led by Mike Hyden, formerly of JustUs. They have all been very helpful. One gets the information that one needs as well as the opportunity to ask questions about aspects of the course that one is not sure about. This Data Protection refresher was just as good. Courses by Homelessness Best Practice are recommended.

Experienced and friendly trainer and an amazing organisation - thank you!

An amazing organisation who offer practical help and solutions in so many areas of homelessness. Colleagues and I attended the Annual Refresher Data Protection training with Mike last week and I can safely say I have gone from not understanding very much about data protection, to feeling confident in my ability in keeping clients data secure and up to date. Mike is a friendly and welcoming trainer and uses brilliant case studies to bring complex ideas to life. After the session, we received useful follow up emails that included any referenced resources, along with a certificate of completion.
