More interested in Profiting of you than Customer Service
Professional Lawyers, and efficient business setup and communication. However, we were roped into the enterprise with expectation that we would be building up credits to use later in the future. Come to find out that unless you renew the plan all money spent on credits is lost, and we weren't given the option to stop the membership at any point, whilst our business was still in the early stages and didn't need to use the credits. May be a good company for one off projects.
Overall, company seems far more interested in profiting off of customers than building a loyal customer base.

During sign-up, we provide detailed information about the terms, including stating that accrued hours can only be used while you have a service plan with us. Our client services team offers to meet periodically with clients to discuss their legal needs and options for using any unused accrued hours towards current legal needs and/or to help futureproof their business.
We aim to build long-term relationships with our clients by providing top-quality legal support tailored to their needs. We understand your need for cost-effectiveness and flexibility as an early-stage business and we regret not meeting all your expectations on this occasion. Harper James has provided us with top-notch legal support in just about every area we need help. HJ is a key partner in our growth. I'm not aware of any UK legal firms that provide a comparable level of quality, smooth delivery in multiple legal areas and value. We always appreciate how they deliver quality services at a reasonable rate through their innovative subscription plan. Examples of areas we've used them for are contracts, HR, regulatory, commercial and data protection (and there are more). I've found their people to be effective and experienced overall and driven to get you to practical commercial solutions. I would compare Harper James to working with a quality boutique law firm that has experts on demand in most areas you need. Another nice point is that you always deal directly with an experienced lawyer - a single skilled professional rather than people with different capability levels. In the few cases where HJ hasn't had a niche speciality we need, they've found an external resource to help us quickly. I'd recommend them as the core legal resource for both growing startups and more mature companies.

Harper James are always a pleasure to do business with. John is one of our key contacts and we use him extensively for all matters from contracts to commercial legal questions. He has a fantastic no nonsense approach and is always very refreshing with thinking through the problems in a commercial way that works both for our customers and us as a business. He's excellent at helping our team with no internal legal counsel navigate the areas to concentrate on versus areas that just need to be done!
