Friendly, professional & compassionate

We have just sold our late parents’ house through GTH and couldn’t be happier with the friendly, professional & compassionate service at what was quite an emotional time for us. Selling a house is always potentially stressful & the experience has the propensity for hiccups along the way but we always felt in safe hands and were kept fully informed by Tom Rawlings.

Coincidentally, I was selling my own house at the same time through a different agent & wholeheartedly wish we’d gone with GTH for our own sale! I would thoroughly recommend Tom at GTH if you are considering a move but are trepidatious about the stresses involved.

If you are looking for an Estate Agent…

If you are looking for an Estate Agent in Ivybridge I strongly recommend Mr Jon Curtis-Hawker, and his team, at this branch of GTH. Not only did he find a buyer for my parents house almost immediately but because of all the sad circumstances involved for me personally and bearing in mind that I lived hundreds of miles away he went above and beyond in taking care to make sure the house was looked after as it was empty and that the sale proceeded smoothly.

He helped me so much with things I could not deal with because of the distance and was so reliable and courteous and respectful in every way. Always obtainable and always got back to me even when he was on holiday. A pleasure to do business with.

I am so pleased that I decided to use the Ivybridge branch and in particular Mr Curtis Hawker. Thank you so very much.

Poor end of tenancy service

Poor end of tenancy service. Avoid GTH if you can. Quarterly property inspections are treated as a tenant nitpicking exercise whilst maintenance issues they should be sorting or raising with the landlord are ignored. Lights left on, property not locked up after inspections and when you raise this, merely due to property insurance implications, they don't like it. End of tenancy deposit return takes too long. Messages ignored. Just terrible service

Quick response back from GTH team appreciated. However this does not address the issue that S.L.As appear more important than customer service, especially for exiting customers, who feel de-prioritised. Moving home is an expensive outgoing, with deposits ordinarily being a significant aspect of this. Once deposit repayment agreements and any applicable adjustments have been made, the button should be pressed, not excuses made. If no resolution is forthcoming within 7 days, the matter will be passed for assessment to the Property Ombusman

Quarterly inspections are conducted to ensure properties are well-maintained, and any issues raised by tenants are reviewed and addressed appropriately. GTH DORCHESTER, House Sale

We have bought and sold property with GTH Dorchester, so we were very confident to choose them to market our home in Poundbury.
Within a few weeks we had a buyer and Will was an excellent communicator throughout. The sale was completed within a few months with great expertise!
The team at GTH were professional from start to finish, and we would highly recommend the Dorchester branch for buying or selling a property.

Great Estate Agents

From start to finish the experience was excellent. Always available at the end of the phone. Knew who we were and always listened and acted. A particular thanks to Isla who sold our house. Bill, take a bow my friend 👏

With so many bad estate agents out there I feel like when you come across a decent one they deserve praise. GTH were great throughout our purchase. Bill (William Cosgrove) in particular pulled out all the stops to get us across the line in what proved a problematic chain. Seeing how the other estate agents operated throughout the chain only reconfirmed that these guys were justified as one of the best companies in the SW. Thanks again to GTH Taunton from Oli & Jo

A truly lazy estate agent.

Extremely poor service with even worst communication.

Unfortunately this site does not allow me to leave zero stars.

GTH were unable to support viewings and often their communication was 7 to 10 days out of date based upon the updates received from both the sellers and purchasers Solicitors.

William Cosgrove, who holds the role of "Sales Progressor" did nothing to help orchestrate the exchange or completion of the sale despite pretending to his colleagues he was involved.

GTH brand boasts to be one of the 'exclusive' estate agents on the high street, unfortunately they brought zero value to the engagement. They dragged the whole process out to

In the end to get to the point of completion we facilitated direct discussion between the purchaser and sellers, bypassing the estate agent in totality.

Go to Humberts or Fine and Country estate agents if you are truly considering selling your home.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could, Absolutely abysmal maintenance company, Came home after doing a 12hr night shift to find a drainage company digging a hole to put in a drainage tank. Not a letter, email or phone call to inform us this was happening. yet they expect you to do everything they ask for. If your landlord goes over to them then just move out, it would be the easier option.

Who uses GTH?!

I honestly don’t know who uses GTH or why! Tried 3 times now over several months to book a valuation with them. Their online booking form for this is beyond pointless as they never have what they state available! Can’t even get them to value your property how are they going to get people to view it! Truly ridiculous.

The bad experience I my have renting…

The bad experience I my have renting for them ..I stay for over 6weeks to fix the shower wich wass broken in my first moving there, since now and they don't care about ..I call maintenance them make me redirected for bridgwater management, and management say me to wait to call me back maintenance because is not their business to repair the shower ...bridgwater Gth agency..

Poor communication

After an initial meeting with staff at Burnham on Sea office, where they came across as helpful and professional for a valuation our late Mother's bungalow, we put the property in their hands to sell. The photos were not good and communication very poor. We had viewings for which we received no feedback. Have since moved the property elsewhere.

Sale and final completion for my mothers property

After dealing with GTH Honiton Branch in the sale of my mother's property, I was very happy with the results. The property was on the market for maybe, 5 months or so and we managed to gain a good sale price. So, thank you Stephen Gardener, Rebecca Larcombe and Charlotte Edwards, you provided a great service and communications with me, even though I live overseas. You persevered, and today the property is changing hands. Kudos to you all at GTH Honiton.

Disappointed with lack of communication

Awful communication with James in the Chard Office.
He was not interested at all. It took us 10 days of chasing (and a nudge from his secretary) to finally get a reply after putting in an offer.
I would not recommend after my experience.

GTH Honiton

Stephen Gardener at Honiton Branch has been brilliant. What should have been an easy turn around has turned into an absolute headache as a result of an incompetent solicitor at the buyers end and a disorganised property developer at the vendors. However full marks to Stephen for helping us through this and hopefully onto our destination in the very near future. Well done GTH.
