GT Bank is such an unreliable bank. I made transaction on Monday, 14.08.2023 at their branch office near AP filling station, Durumi Abuja, Nigeria to transfer funds from my GT bank account to my Access bank account.

They stamped the transaction slip and gave me the copy that it was processed and credited to my Access account.

Up till today, 16.08.2023, I have not received the funds to my access bank account.

I ask for compensation for causing me frustration by not processing the transaction and giving me a false confirmation.

Please beware of GT Bank, it is not a good Bank. I will be closing my account soon.

If there was a Zero Star Rating, I will ascribe it entirely to GTbank's destiny as the worst retail bank delivering the most horrid of customer-service experiences. I am yet to see a Bank who I unable to reverse failed transactions between her customers (not even a 3rd party) - Many customers have lost monies because GTbank issues a 5-10 day wait for a resolution that extends to 2-3 months unresolved. people lose critical information regarding the transaction over that period and GTbank now says they are unable to help after failing to abide by the 5-10 day window on failed-transaction.

I walked into this GT Bank in Aba, Abia State. By Abia State Polytechnic and the customer care service was very helpful.

I left the bank quicker than i imagined

If I could give this bank 0 starts I would!
They are simply horrible!
They waste your time and lie to customers that there is no network to attend to customers!
They buy airtime from my bank account that I never purchased, they take more that a week to reverse transactions, they are the worst bank ever!
Withholding someones funds is punishable by the law! GTB is the most useless bank I have ever been unfortunate to use!

GTBANK Nigeria is not reliable, transacting using GTBANK is a risk particularly nowadays, I tried buying airtime on my phone using their banking system. My money was deducted twice without giving crediting me and my money is never refunded. This is just one of many issues I have with the bank

Febr. 2022: I got transferdata from GT bank (Gambia). It took one stressfull month I received a part of the amount back. The intermediair standard chartered bank doesn’t tell where the money is and let me pay a penalty of 90 euro with the message “The account information was received incorrectly.”
My friend asked the GTBank to explain. The answer was “maybe your name was incorrect stated.”
I send an email with a printsceen of my bankaccount with exactly displayed transfer data of the GTBank and the message:

So, this is customer unfriendly and easy going.
The way you respond shows that you don’t want to improve your service. If you want to improve your service you say:“Sorry for our mistake. We’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

I never use the Guaranty Trust Bank Gambia anymore.

I have seen a Dutch blog. The 'mistakes' of the GTbank in Gambia seems to be systematic. There are many People who had to pay 90 euro penalty. It seems to be a source of income.

I used the Access bank twice:
Once to a training center. The money arrived within 12 days the bank account from the center.
Once to a privat acccount. The money arrived within 7 days the bank account of my friend.

Worst bank ever! They hold on to customer funds for no reason and they do not release the funds even after two weeks of complaining and sending written instructions for the funds to be released, all under the guise of government regulation. If you are considering using this bank, please run for dear life.

This is the fifth time GT Bank debited me without reversing my money back to me.

GTB is a scam
My money was debited 5 consecutive times in 2mins.
I have filled a compliant form and still no solution. I made a little investigation n I noticed that this same issue had happened to so many Nigeria GTB customers. Guys pls be careful with this back, if you have millions there it can be taken within 3mins
