I was debited the sum #6,500 twice for…

I was debited the sum #6,500 twice for an airtime purchase which I did not initiate on the 24/11/2024. I have gone to your office, sent messages on mail and twitter but up till now, nothing has been done to reverse my #13,000........What a shame, erroneous and fraudulent act from an organisation such as this.

Funds are no longer safe in your bank and if I had not pulled out the little I have there, that's how the debits would have continued....So unfortunate that till now, you people just kept deafened ears to my plight and that of many Nigerians.

GTWorld App unable to login

My old phone got damaged suddenly three weeks ago. I got a new phone, I downloaded the GTworld app but was unable to log in. I have reached out via to GTBank for many days via whatsapp chat but I wait daily for resolution to no avail. No one is responding to me

If there are challenges

If there are challenges, let your customers know and be very open to admit what it is. Trying to act as if all is well( meaning the client is not doing the right thing as regards navigating your banking solution)or trying to make your customer second guess themselves is bad and akin to abuse.

Thank goodness for clients persistence and perseverance on the so called upgrade process. it's resolved now as at this morning. I hope it remains this seamless going forward.

Absolutely Horrible experience

Absolutely Horrible experience. No credible way to contact customer service if you reside outside Nigeria. Totally despicable and a shame to banking services in Nigeria. This is for lack of better words to explain the frustration.

Worst employees/ bank of the century

This bank needs to either hire professional banker from overseas to train all her employees or close down. The worst experience in my lifetime came from GTB Adetokunbo Ademola branch. I visited Access bank today thinking the poor experience from GTB will be same but I was wrong. Immediately I entered the Access branch on Victoria Island, closed to their corporate office, I saw a young man who gave me a warm welcome to Access bank. The security guard was actually the 1st person to give me a warm welcome. I was immediately directed to the employee that would help me close my accounts. The lady at the front desk was not pleasant as she wore a look that read “I don’t wanna be here” but the other employees were terrific. I would hire them without thinking twice. My intention was to close my naira & $ accounts at Access but I made up my mind not to close them after I saw their efforts to retain me. Two employees went above and beyond for me which made me change my mind. Unlike GTB, the employees were working as if they were held under duress. This bank called GTB has lost its glory. I had to be directed to 4 employees to do what can be done by just 1 employee. This is what I tag “a waste of resources & worst customer time management” I was directed to fill out 2 forms for account closure request, then directed me to another employee for wire transfer, now to another employee who processed the transfer of funds from old account to a new account, then was directed to another employee for debit card request. Nigeria is wasteful. Matter of fact, wasteful is an understatement. Ended up staying at the GTB for 3hours and 35mins. With all the wait time, not one single employee was polite. The worst of them all was the teller who processed the transfer of funds. One last act that require investigation is the 1st guy that I met who started the process, he asked that I should leave 1000 in each of the accounts which I requested for closure. This means these folks can access your accounts for a withdrawal behind your back and without your consent. This bank does not deserve a 1star but unfortunately, the review cannot be completed without at least 1 star. Despite all the bad experience, the accounts I requested closure on were never closed as they were reflecting on my online banking. I had to call their customer service line and spent 1hr 4mins on the phone. The lady who helped over the phone was however, helpful and professional. Again, this bank needs to train their staff right or close down.

My account was debited and recipient’s…

My account was debited and recipient’s account not credited instantly. It’s been more than 48 hours still expecting my fund reversal. This was a payment for an hospital bill to save a life but Guaranty Trust Bank disappointed me as a life was lost because of excessive time for fund reversal.

Worst bank in the history of the world

Worst bank in the history of the world. Nasty, unreliable, arrogant customer service, zero help from customer service, when you call their customer service you’re only wasting your time because you won’t get anywhere with them. I regret opening an account with this bank. But am definitely closing down the account.

GTBank is the worst

GTBank is the worst. Their customer service is bad. I had a complaint and i reached out to the customer service on whatsApp. I have been reaching out to them because sensitive information was leaked and they did not respond. If I was able to go to the bank I would have done so. They end the conversation without helping. Why have a customer service if they are not helpful?

Put funds into a GTbank account as a Non Residential Nigerian at your own risk. Their NRN customer service reps are so unhelpful, they end chats without providing support and keep asking you to repeat processes that you have tried several times and did not work. I do not recommend at all.

This GTB has the most appalling online…

This GTB has the most appalling online transfer system which never works and frustrating to use when requesting simple transfer of funds from my savings or current account to other banks.

How can you have service that never works and you claim to be one of the best bank in Nigeria what a shame and how’s your claim of being the best achieved hmmm. 🤔 Anyway we know better now😭 I guess that’s not a surprise.

GT Bank where is my money?

I have transferred money to my GT account, and this is not the first time from my UK account through a money changing app. Its now been 3 days that I have been trying to reach someone at GT. All the numbers advertised on the GT website are just ringing or playing some stupid music with no response, even their 24 hr contact numbers! The sending partner have provided a proof that they sent the fund successfully with transaction ID and GT needs to clear this. This is not good customer service when you cant even reach someone to look into a banking problem in a bank. I have also wasted more money on international calling credits to no avail!

This Best bank in Nigeria…

This is one of the best bank in Nigeria for online transactions. The ease at with you can get your debit card makes me more addicted to them compared to other banks in Nigeria.
Their debit mater card is globally accepted and can be used for any online services. Their customers service are very respondent and they also have a self ATM dispensing machine.

Each time l pay for an online internet…

Each time l pay for an online internet provider money is debited from my account twice. GTB states is the merchandise and the other party states they have deducted the money once. But the debit shows on my account twice. The question is where is my money? I have escalate with no joy. People beware of this bank

Unauthorized Debit Transactions

My account was overdrawn by the sum of 197,951.46, and since last week I’ve been raising escalations for the reversal of unauthorized transactions on my account. Nothing has been done up till this moment. This is total fraud as I know nothing of the Debits charged to my account.This isn’t the first time this is happening, I had first experienced this and escalated the transaction which was resolved, and I had to block my ATM for no just reason, now I have to deal with this again. Kindly reverse the transactions and place my account back to it good credit standing as my whole life is in a mess as a result of this scam on my account. Find attached details of the Unauthorized debits.

Online payment made easy

I've always love this bank for their easy Mastercard online transaction. I always enjoy the ease of payment online using their card but their recent app upgrade is awkward. You can't even link it with your account unless you visit their bank to rectify.
