A delivery from Gousto arrived today even though I’d cancelled my subscription 9 days ago. A week and a half ago I cancelled my subscription a few hours too late and Gousto chose the menu, they sent a delivery and the food choices weren’t good. Because I’d cancelled my subscription and deleted my account, I also didn’t have access to the app for 1 person instructions. Tho website stated my account needed reactivated and I used the chat box the asked for app access, so I could follow the instructions but no response. Turns out that Gousto re-subscribed me without my consent, which triggered an immediate delivery, which I refused on the doorstep. It was a struggle with customer services, with their initial refusal for a refund but finally got it, only because I had evidence from the chat box history The experience has completely put me off Gousto.

Have been doing gusto a number of weeks, with a weekly box and we absolutely loved it, loved the amount of choice, way it made thinking about meals so much easier and we didn't have one meal we didn't like. Despite the prices increasing following the initial promotions dropping off, i decided i was happy continuing the subscription as we enjoyed it so much.
We had no problems for weeks until that is, they started using Evri as delivery partner. The first delivery with evri arrived extremely late in the day but the next one the following week was when we had the real issues and my opinions on how great Gousto is drastically changed.
Delivery was due Monday, stayed in all day awaiting the delivery which never arrived, i was due to leave for a concert that afternoon and i was staying over night so the fact that the delivery didnt arrive caused me massive inconvenience, i was not able to leave at the time i originally planned and i was also concerned about the box which contained raw chicken and pork having been out and unrefrigerated for so long.
I contacted the Gousto customer chat and was told they’d look into it and i was assured i would be provided with compensation and that i would also get my food for the week (one way or the other). I was advised they’d monitor it and get back to me with an update. I waited and heard nothing…
12:30pm the next day arrived and i’d still heard nothing so i called customer services. Despite me being told the previous day that i’d be compensated and that i would receive my food or replacement at the earliest convenience, that was not the resolution i was provided, despite me telling the advisor that was what i was told. They did not offer the solution i was told i would get and i felt that their customer service was actually horrendous! I was left out of packet and with no food for the remainder of the week and it would now be difficult for me to get out to do a shop. I advised them that if I wasn't given the solution i was promised i would be cancelling my subscription - their response was essentially i should cancel it then!
Safe to say my subscription is now cancelled.
This is an utter shame as we loved the service, the recipes, the convenience and everything about Gousto until this past week. We had never had any issues until this past 2 weeks and i’m actually sad that we won’t be having the recipes anymore, but it seems that when you do encounter an issue, their customer service is completely unwilling to help and provide an appropriate resolution (even when thats what they’ve previously promised!)

I had a mixed experience with Gousto. I received an exceptional introductory offer and placed an order but then tried to move the delivery date back a week and ended up with a charge on my credit card that was not made clear in my opinion. Bernadett is customer services helped but I still paid more than the introductory offer. HOWEVER the quality of what I received was excellent. The first meal we cooked last night was better than anything I've eaten at a restaurant lately. My only tip is if there are two of you select the meal plan for three. That way there's enough!

Do not recommend. My last box arrived after 7pm on a Sunday night. It had been received by the courier in the early hours of that morning and then had been ‘out for delivery’ for nearly 7 hours in 28c heat.
Gousto dismissed my concerns regarding the safely of the food, including raw prawns and chicken which had been left unrefrigerated for at least 14hours. Over the years the quality of the food has also declined. I have cancelled my subscription - it’s not worth the cost for the quality of the food and the poor customer service when things go wrong.

Last year i purchased with Gusto, i had a safety issue with my food and found a large pebble which was I bit down on and caused a lot of pain so emailed to report it. They offered me £3 credit in compensation which i felt like was an insult. After going back and forth they finally offered me a more reasonable amount of credit. I then went to purchase another box giving them another chance to find they had taken all my credit away having it on a time limit. For me, gusto is a luxury and not something i can afford to do all the time. I again had to go back and forth with customer service for them to reinstate the credit on my account.
Upon using a referral code i then gained £20 credit. Looking forward to using this I went to place a new order and found they had removed that too and it was on a time limit. They promise all these great deals and credit offers and then take them away.
Customer service are truly robots who seem to be told to offer the bare minimum to resolve a situation. I have’t been satisfied with any service I’ve received. Don’t get sucked in with the promise of money off as they don’t want to give it to you

Really disappointed, have waited all day for this weeks delivery. Was told by the delivery company, finally, late afternoon it will arrive between 20.00 & 21.00hrs.
It is now 21.22hrs still no delivery. What really concerns me is in this very hot weather what the produce will be like especially the meat.
Its a shame as the meals have been very good until now.

I have been having Gousto for a long time now. Recently I have had issues with nearly every order.
It’s all very well being offered money for damaged or missing ingredients but it is a real inconvenience. Because of the missing or damaged ingredients you then have to go to the supermarket which for me is a 30 minute walk or a 10 minute drive. This is big inconvenience for me.

Gousto attracts people to use its service offering a 70% if you are recommended by a friend. However, they don't honour this, because when you try to buy the dishes apparently you are paying a recipie surcharge for each one so by the time you have paid all the surcharges you have had more like a 10 pound discount not a 70 % one. They also make the choosing of the dishes confusing, because you can not directly see the price you are being charged.
Then the amount of packaging is an envrionmental nightmare. Don't get tricked into this scam with them. They are massively overcharging for quite cheap ingredients pretending you need all these recepies and cheap sauces to make the dish.

We have been using Gousto for a number of years now. Always great quality and value for money. Recently had an issue with the delivery company that resulted in spoilt food. Contacted Gousto without hesitation it was resolved. First class service, highly recommended. Takes all of the hassle out of meal planning.
