Hi everyone,
I’m sharing my experience to warn potential buyers about Goldshell’s current support and warranty practices in Europe.
The Case:
I bought a Goldshell miner (Model: BYTE for $500. The unit was defective shortly after arrival.
The "Support" Journey (8 Months!):
Reported the issue immediately.
Sent multiple videos and logs as requested.
Goldshell sent a replacement chassis and a new power adapter.
Result: Even with the new parts, the miner still shuts down after a while . It is a hardware brick.
Current Situation:
After 8 months of trying to cooperate, swapping parts myself, and providing endless documentation, I requested a final RMA for a refund.
Goldshell's Response:
They literally told me: "If you are not willing to cooperate [meaning: keep doing their technical investigation for them], we will not be able to assist you."
They are refusing a refund or a working replacement after failing twice to fix the unit within the warranty period.
Conclusion:
If you are in Europe and expect any kind of consumer protection or functional warranty, be extremely careful with Goldshell. They will drag your case out until you give up.
I have already contacted the ECC Net (European Consumer Centre) and will keep this thread updated on how they handle this.

Has anyone else experienced this "delay-tactic" from them lately?

Goldshell products have poor quality control. 2 of the miners I've purchased from them have had malfunctioning hashboards. The first time it happened, Goldshell said my only option was to ship the device back to them for repair. The shipping cost alone was more than mining rewards I have earned. The second time this happened on a different miner, they said I could buy a new miner at a discounted price, but I do not trust their products anymore. 1 of the miners has been good with almost no issues, but the rest have been nothing but problems.

after 2 months owning a goldshell byte, this is poor product, no help in there discord, what a waste of time and money,, i will never buy another goldshell product....unit to hard to connect, must use there app on the phone....

I purchase a KA Box Pro from Goldshell, which took about 3 weeks of time wasted.
The miner never reached 1.6 TH/s but it was close enough so I didn't investigate. A month later, the miner dropped to 1.3 ish so I contacted them, gave them my log, and was told i had a bad miner with lots of hardware error.

I was asked to return it to Hong Kong by courier only, at my expense. That would be another 200$ USD on a miner that gets more and more obsolete every month. I told them I would contact police due to this fraud of selling malfunctioning miners.
They didn't budge so I will contact police.

Goldshell products have been excellent for us, ordered a few times from them each time got better an better.. dealt with customer service my first time after ordering,received prompt response with detailed answers. Now have multiple orders with them it is always smooth..

Bought two ALBOX and the delivery was faster than expected, just 3 days by DHL. Paid with USDT with no issues or customs import fees! 100% recommend!

I ordered items here before and had to contact their support group about my payment that was never returned or an order that didn’t ship. #89053 I have emailed them sent over documents got a response from Leonard` and never received a follow up weeks has blown by they already took my money.I couldn’t remove the one star! ‘‘This can’t happen in business” If anyone else has experienced this with Goldshell

I recently bought the Goldshell MINI DOGE III PLUS.

I found the buying experience, shipping and support excellent. The new Goldshell management hub is a great addition, and the mobile app works great.

It is currently July 2024, and I feel the miner is over priced considering the current Doge price. I feel a fair price would be USD$500 (currently USD$759).

poor technical support and the way of handling the complaint about the machine, which broke down after two weeks, was hopeless, the customer pays all fees both ways, including customs duties. In Western civilization, customer service is different. such a company in Europe would go bankrupt. goldshell makes money from its sales, shipping costs generate additional profits. I'd rather spend my money on something else because it's the most expensive piece of junk I've ever bought
the second machine failed, these are the biggest duds the world has ever seen, this toy company should cease to exist

Very fast delivery, excellent quality product amazing highly recommend ordering from them for your miner needs.

I have ordered 2, newly released, Box miners from Goldshell recently. Overall, my experience has been excellent! I had a minor payment hiccup that was fixed quickly on a support ticket. Shipping is lightning fast, my order gets from Goldshell to the west coast of the US in 3 days. It did take a while for the order to be shipped, but that is because these were newly released miners, and I expected that. Thanks Goldshell, looking forward to hashing away on your equipment!

No issues. My first purchase with Goldshell. Ordered 2 KD Mini II boxes, paying with crypto. Submitted a support question that was answered timely. Shipping was quicker than expected with great in process shipping updates. All around good experience. Boxes set up in minutes and mining away.

I was skeptical at first, (paying with coins) but they came through. The package came 3 days early. It took me a few minutes to set it up. When I did I had no problems. (relived)

Smooth transaction and delivery for my KD II Box (2 sets). The package was wrapped properly. Will order again!
