Looking at 938 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many people found the staff helpful and supportive, and setting up a fundraiser was generally easy. However, the overall service and user experience received mixed feedback, with some finding certain aspects awkward or difficult to navigate. I had recently received a donation

I had recently received a donation. I spoke with Noelle about my new bank account. She told me exactly when I receive the donation in my account and how much.

Noelle is kind, considerate and accountable. I really appreciate her!!!

Frozen account - zero explanation

Frozen account, zero explanation .

I am 3 weeks away from completing my marathon and raising money for a charity after a run in with cancer last year.

I just hit my target (which I want to increase) and my entire account has been shut down due to 'trust and safety' with no context provided.

AI chat bot was pointless
Subsequent Customer support was rude and dismissive.

Given I could have used competitors with ease, as a first time user I wont be using Gofundme again. It seems a shame to treat people in this way as they raise money in good faith for known charities.

Shame on you GoFundMe

Friendly, knowledgeable and caring

As I'm retired and I don't drive. I don't have a driving licence or a passport which means GFM can't verify my identity. However I got very friendly customer service (Lou) who talked me through the process of appointing a trustee they can verify (ie one of my relatives) and the campaign has gone ahead without a hitch. very easy, very stress free.

GIVE LUIS A RAISE!

Luis is the whole reason I know about my situation, please give them a raise! Your chatbot led me in circles that answered none of my actual questions, but Luis had given me key information that helped me understand what was happening :) <3

2x as many 1 star reviews vs 5stars

There is a reason why there are 2x as many 1 star reviews as 5 stars. Check for yourself. Truly the most hideous experience you can ever have in fund raising. I would be ashamed to go to work each day with such public opinion. If you have any option at all to avoid this joke of a process, I recommend doing that. But check yourself the actual reviews first to see if I am exaggerating.

Pack of gestapo grubs forcing people to…

Pack of gestapo grubs forcing people to agree ro their terms and giving them permission to sell your data to whoever they like. Just utter grubs. Steer clear of them. Almost as bad as trustpilot. Telling people they must have an account to share the truth. These germs need to be removed from the internet. Just filthy corporate scumbs.

Shame on go fund me

I started an account because I hit a period of hardship this month that involved my air conditioning going out, I live in an area of the united states where this is a serious issue. In the first day I had earned enough donations to cover an in window unit and went to immediately cash out, I picked the emergency funding designation because this is exactly what this situation was, it’s been over a week now I have endured plus 100 degree weather for all of it and I am disabled and have been severely affected by not having my air conditioning. What they don’t tell you is processing of funds takes 2-7 days and then what the really don’t tell you is after that it takes another 2-5 days to transfer the funds to your account. I’m hot dizzy and exhausted and frankly feel just taken advantage of because you know they already took their cut out of my donations. They should be ashamed
