Don't drop small items

On first using the lift I had a large pile of boxes and a bag of screws which fell open as the lift ascended. A screw jammed into the side of the moving floor trapping me between floors. Eventually my wife (74) had to climb up the loft ladder into the small loft above the top of the lift to access the emergency control panel to bring me down safely under battery power. Dropping the screws was entirely my own fault but better warnings and guidance on not taking small items would be a good idea. More importantly, the control panel should not have been put in such an inaccessible place. We have learned lessons and are now very pleased with our lift which has been invaluable during our moving into a new house period.

We are extremely delighted with our new Gartec SE15 home platform lift. Matt Ackerman has been exceptionally supportive and has always been there for us from the initial planning to final installation. Matt is very knowledgeable and will go above and beyond to make sure that the design suits your home and your needs. Additionally his installation team is very professional and courteous and will make sure that site is clean and tidy before leaving.
I highly recommend Matt and Gartec and I am confident to say that you will never be disappointed.

Great service

The engineer who does our lift maintenance is always very helpful and professional. I'm confident that our lift is always in working order and, if something does go wrong, an engineer can be out within the week to help.

Your automated system keeps emailing past service date and you haven't even been to site for the first service visit which was arranged in August 2024.

The service engineer was on time and…courteous

The service engineer was on time and serviced our lift indicating that there was a problem with one of the control panels. Gartec stated the cost of the panel and we are now awaiting a date for the installation.

The lift concerned is in a building…

The lift concerned is in a building only occupied 2/3 times each month so scheduling the maintenance is is important.

Gartec fitted a lift in my home earlier…

Gartec fitted a lift in my home earlier this year as part of renovations and an extension. I'm impressed with the lift which is really helping my mobility at home. Gartec were great to deal with and their engineers have been very helpful in making it work very well.
