Excellent service.

Electric blanket went faulty in warranty. New replacement sent without problems. Not often you get such good service these days.

Warranty issues

Futura Direct stopped answering my emails for a warranty issue. You can find a telephone number online but an automated voice immediately instructs you to send an email to an email address that is rejecting emails. I guess from my experience that
they have little interest in their warranty or any sort of customer service.

Electric Throw

My electric throw stopped working whilst still under guarantee. Futura promptly sent a replacement controller but the issue lies with the internal connection according to the display on the new controller and a new throw is required. Futura have not responded to my emails regarding this, and so their guarantee is worthless.
UPDATE 5/12/2023: I have now had a response and they have stated they will issue a refund. I will update further once the refund is received.
BELATED UPDATE: As good as their word, Futura did issue a full refund and apology for a replacement not being available.

Review of Futura Direct

Contacted this company directly via their website as I needed their advice before purchasing a replacement controller for a heated blanket.

They linked me to one on their website which they stated was the right unit, so I bought it. It turned up fairly quickly but it was the wrong item, the connector fitment was totally different.

Trying to engage them to arrange/accept a refund is ridiculously slow, and basically very poor service hence why I’m leaving this review.

If they sort it out I’ll amend this, but I am far from impressed and couldn’t recommend them based on my experience.

Edited to add - I finally received a full refund. The fact it took leaving a review here to get them to take any action whatsoever means I’m not changing my review score. I would not use or recommend.

Brought latest heater - as good as useless

Brought the latest Prurus wall panel heater. Looked okay and arrived quickly. However, as others have said, this item is as good as useless. Almost impossible to understand the programming instructions and no online videos for this model, so after several hours going round in circles, I gave up. I was prepared to give it another go, until I read that it loses all saved data if the power is switched off. Checked this out and it’s true - no back up like my Haverland heaters! As we have several power cuts a year, I could be spending several hours trying to get this thing to work again.

As I have had the item for a while, whilst decorating the room, it’s too late now to return it, and I don’t have the original packaging, looks like I’ll have to cut my losses and get something else.

Just wish I’d read the numerous negative reviews on this site before purchasing. Why is this company still selling a product that so many buyers are disappointed with? Felt let down and ripped off.

Ignoring my messages

I have been trying to get in touch with them for the past week. I have sent many messages , but no response. I bought my elderly mum a heated throw last Christmas. This year she got it out and it won’t heat up. There is supposed to be a 2 year guarantee. I’m fed up of trying to contact them . Terrible customer service.
