Easy to find location and the product we bought was as expected and great quality, also Mark who dealt with order was very good to deal with wouldn’t hesitate in using them again.

I bought a king size bed with under bed storage and a zero gravity mattress.
Delivery came at the end of the week. Quality of the bed is great and the mattress is super comfortable.

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish! I recently purchased a sofa, the ordering process was simple and straightforward, communication was excellent, and the sofa arrived exactly as communicated !!

I have made several visits to both the Sunderland and Chester le Street stores and always been met with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have purchased beds, sofas and bedroom furniture, all of which arrives timely and is excellent quality. Highly recommended 😊

DO NOT purchase anything from this company!!
They accused us of damaging the product we were sent even though we hadn't even taken it out of the box. Use your claim back on your credit card to get your money back as they will fob you off with all different reasons as not to give you a full refund including paying your own returns!!

I would strongly advise avoiding this furniture company.

The customer service was completely unacceptable. After placing my order, I experienced a delay of almost six months before the furniture was finally delivered. During that time, I sent multiple emails requesting updates and received no response whatsoever. The lack of communication was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling ignored as a customer.

To make matters worse, when the furniture eventually arrived, the quality was extremely poor. The drawers are badly made and do not open or close properly, making them difficult to use on a daily basis. For the amount of time I waited, I expected a much higher standard of workmanship.

Overall, this has been a disappointing experience from start to finish. Poor communication, excessive delivery delays, and substandard quality mean I would not purchase from this company again and cannot recommend them to others.

We spent almost £2000 on new bedroom furniture January 11th 2026.
Four months later we are still waiting for the £1000 wardrobe which they say is delayed until May.
We may have to consider contacting the police as this could be a scam? Not saying that it is a scam, but we are minus £1000 with no wardrobe after 4 months. Avoid.

Please don't waste time with these people , we bought three items from the melton branch on 23rd Jan 2026.
Staff where very nice but it all ends once money is passed over. Told originally that furniture was in stock and would be with us in a few days.
Then got a call saying furniture not in stock, but would be with us in a few weeks. As we had already sold our own furniture so we complained that we could not wait weeks. Got a call back to say they had suddenly found two parts of our order and would send them in a few days. The furniture did arrive and I imagine someone else had to wait. The doors were out of line but I put them right myself to save returning them. I rang customer services today as they promised the last item would be here by 31st March, so rang to check if everything still on schedule, but told it is now going to be 19th April. No email or contact about this so do not believe a thing these people in the shops tell you, and be prepared for long delays no matter what they say. I wonder how many of these customer are thinking of writing to Ripoff Britain as I am.

Absolutely awful customer service. I ordered furniture in December. It’s March and it still not here. Some things now aren’t due in til May despite being due in Feb.
One item was arranged for delivery. It was changed last minute even though I’d had to make arrangements to be there
Then on the second day it was arranged to be delivered, I waited for 4 hours in the”delivery window” they confirmed the day before. It didn’t arrive and went online to see “order cancelled”
I rang the customer service and she said she would ring me back in 30 minutes and no heard from since.
Wouldn’t use!!!

The experience at the shop in Melton Mowbray was excellent, Tom at the shop went above and beyond,It reminded us of years gone by of the good customer service we used to get,What an asset Tom is to your company,Furniture arrived well before delivery date the furniture is in situ and looks lovely. THANK YOU Tom well done.

Orderd furniture February 2025, told 15 weeks to wait. It's almost 12 months and it still has not arrived. Communication is poor, the show room try to fob you off to customer services and customer services do the same. Spoken to the manager Simon who also promised to keep in touch but never did. They told us there was a mix up with the order which worked for a couple of months. Then the furniture was stuck in Vietnam. 12 months and still no furniture. They did offer a 12 percent reduction in the price which was a token gesture, but still no furniture. If they would just tell the truth and stop taking peoples money knowing they cannot keep their promise to deliver the furniture. I WOULD URGE PEOPLE TO THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING SHOPPING HERE. THE SHOP AND SALES PATTER IS GREAT BUT YOU WILL HAVE BETTER LUCK THAN ME IF YOU GET YOUR FURNITURE.
They also never responded to emails.

Ordered in May and was advised that delivery would be by July. Got towards the end of July and no communication from them. I called and was told I would get a call back with an update ( no call back ) I called again and I was passed to someone else to then be informed that the furniture was not due in stock until November - what a joke!! I asked for a refund as I was not willing to wait a further 4 months with dining furniture. They tried to offer me white glove treatment on delivery by way of an apology, even a partial refund but still wouldn't give me the furniture I was waiting for. I insisted on the refund and was asked to give them some time to see if they were able to deliver any sooner. I reluctantly agreed and was called back with an offer of delivery within 7-12 days. I accepted this as ultimately I would probably wait that long if ordering from elsewhere. Two weeks passed and again no communication. Called with no positive results, visited the store, again with no positive results. Requested the refund again at that point and surprisingly then they were able to confirm a delivery date.
Delivery arrived and guess what !! Wrong colour dining chairs. I was old to keep them for now while they arranged an exchange for the correct chairs. One month and nothing, two months and nothing, calls, visits to store and nothing. Finally after 20+ phone calls, promises to call back not received I finally received the correct chairs 2nd week in December. Shocking service. They had my money since May and no attempts it seems to resolve the issue.
Would I buy again?? Never. I would avoid at all costs.

Delivery service is a joke. Booked for a Saturday a week ago and it was cancelled without us being told. Was re booked again for today and came up on tracker you are next drop then the driver got further and further away. Rang to be told the goods weren't loaded. Up from 6am to be let down fir xmas. Asked for a refund and compensation for the lies.

This review page is not THE FURNITURE WAREHOUSE This company is FURNITURE WAREHOUSE. who sound amazing! But don’t mistake their fantastic reviews as reviews for THE FURNITURE WAREHOUSE. As THW are shocking and I can see people have left negative reviews for the wrong company

Very friendly and helpful service. Found what we wanted quickly and are looking forward to the delivery.
The sales man who help myself and my wife ( Tom, from the Melton store) was not pushy but at the same time told us everything we needed to know and made the experience of shopping a pleasure.

We used the Barnstaple Furniture Warehouse to purchase 3 new single mattresses for the kids. Paul. J was on hand to answer any questions we had, was helpful and informative and even got the kids some popcorn to keep them happy whilst shopping with Mum & Dad. Great customer service!!
