We lost power when a transformer blew at 12 am this morning. We called it in and were told a crew would be out within three hours and that we would get an update via text and email. We called again after not receiving any information. We were told a crew was on another call and would be here by 4 am, then promptly backtracked and said they couldn't provide a time. At 6:30 am with still no power and no update, we called again. They said they would have a supervisor call us. Nobody has called.It's now 7:30 am. If this is how their service is now when there's no storm, just imagine how bad it's going to be if we get a hurricane this year.

They have a monopoly over our energy here and they just do what they want. We have elderly people and children in our apartments over 30 units affected. We saw a fpl worker pull up then pull away. It was like a kick in the face. They need more regulations.

Unable to reach anyone by phone or n chat that was able to send me a copy of my past bill and payment. There are no offices in Northwest Florida so there is no way to talk to anyone other than waiting on the phone for 2+ hours and then be told they can't help you.

They unfortunately are the worst with estimates for repair. Power Been down most of the day & they gave an estimate of 12:45am. Temperature is over 80 and humidity is HiGH! I called to see what’s happening with the restoration ant 12:47sh. They said they cannot do anything till a tree service comes by and trims the tree where the tree already dropped its branches. So I asked how can they give an estimate if they don’t know when the tree service is coming. There’s more details and my home is the only one affected and you can see clearly where they need to reconnect the down cable! Terrible and deceitful/ not complete info regarding repairs
Passive Aggressive Incompetence
When I first reported the outage at 2:38 am, there was no other residence reported which was alarming and the time was wrong. That must have been a glitch. Later, the system updated and it showed 147 customers. I can only imagine what awaits us during Hurricane season when outages can last more than 7 hours! In those circumstances, consumers can prepare, unfortunately, not in this case. We lost a substantial amount of food and FPL should have offered an incentive to the affected residents for the inconvenience. Our position remains the same. There was no need for two crew members to visit our home that day. When I asked all parties why this happened, it was not addressed which only added insult to injury. Needless to say, a vehicle crashed into a transformer and FPL took too long to restore power.

When signing up, they enrolled me in extra services that couldn't be cancelled on their website.
Had to call support, speak to three different agents, be pitched a whole bunch of new services, and also automatically got enrolled in marketing on the phone number I called from.
Also found them expensive.

They have a monopoly so they don't give a shit. They are overpriced and have lousy service. They have consistently bad ratings. However, their PR about how caring they are is well done bullshit.

This company can not seem to get to my home to fix the broken equipment on the line running to my home. The meter is broken. I have no stove, AC, washer, dryer and have to run an extension cord from an outside outlet to my fridge so I don't lose my food. They keep making appointments and never show up. I am living with the consequences of their broken equipment and inability to fix it. I assume, for them, if you are the only game in town, you do not care how long your customers wait.

The most confusing idiotic system for applying for service that anyone could ever imagine. Tried to complete on the phone and the robot could not understand anything. Online took forever and had to upload I D about ten times. This a m I got a robot call asking me if I intended to discontinue service? I don't even know what they're talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if the power gets cut off. They charged me $390 up front for electrical service but my credit score is 830? but what can you do since FPL is a monopoly and no other options are available.
