Hidden charges not advertised before payment
Just be aware you have to pay a £25 deposit to secure the booking before proceeding and a lot of important information isn’t revealed until after this stage.
The advertised discount rate is honoured for 8 weeks and then it goes up in price. Minimum 4 weeks and it is in 4 week blocks despite being advertised as price per week.
You will also be charged just under £5 for each £1000 of value stored (minimum £1000) per 4 week period.
None of this information is available prior to paying the £25 securement payment so just be aware!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry if any aspect of our pricing or terms was not as clear to you as you expected.
We do, however, work hard to make our storage terms and charges clear throughout the booking process. Our introductory discounts are designed to offer customers excellent value when they first move into storage, while our flexible four weekly agreements mean customers are not tied into lengthy contracts.
With regard to goods protection, we require customers’ belongings to be adequately covered while in storage. This is there to protect you in the event of an unforeseen incident. Our own cover is very competitively priced, but importantly, customers are not required to arrange this through Fox if they already have suitable alternative cover in place.
We believe our combination of introductory discounts, flexible storage periods and competitive protection options provides customers with both flexibility and good value, and our team are always happy to explain any aspect of the agreement before storage commences.

Overall a bad experience, poor service and the person today literally seemed like they hated every aspect of their job.. Shocking.. cancelled and moved with immediate effect. Not recommended. Very unprofessional, dismissive with a true lack of care in assisting a customer. Local alternatives cheaper with better access times.

We are disappointed to read your description of events as we do not believe it fairly reflects the interaction that took place.
At the time of your visit there was an outstanding balance showing against the account. Our staff member therefore needed to check that this had been cleared before reopening access to the storage unit. This was a perfectly normal account procedure and the matter was checked and resolved in less than 15 minutes.
We would also clarify that the conversation actually took place with your wife and, from our understanding, the exchange throughout was pleasant, polite and professional. We therefore do not recognise the description of our staff member as dismissive, uncaring or unprofessional.
We appreciate that even a short delay can be frustrating when trying to access your belongings, but our team have a responsibility to ensure accounts are correctly checked before access is restored. On this occasion that is all that occurred.
We are sorry that you subsequently decided to move your storage elsewhere, but we remain confident that our member of staff acted appropriately and professionally throughout.

Clean , tidy and secure

Clean and tidy units opening times…
Clean and tidy units opening times especially evening could do with going until 6pm or 6:30pm as it’s hard to get there after work. Prices are a tad high but over all good service
