Good wholesome rustic British food

Trading as The Hatch in Winchester, we called in for lunch on a chilly day and left feeling very happy. Good service at sensible prices, nice ambience, warm and friendly.
We had a selection of hot drinks and mainly a soup and half sandwich. Soup that day was very thick and lovely Leek and Potato and I had a half steak sandwich which was also filling.
Came out of there fuller amd warmer than when we went in and if back in Winchester again would definitely head back there.
