Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 99 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently experienced unexpected monthly subscription charges and automatic payments deducted from their accounts. Consumers also bitterly complained about poor product quality, noting that the golf balls felt hard like stones and significantly underperformed compared to advertising claims. Though some customers appreciated the golf balls or found them decent for casual play, many buyers strongly warned others about the hidden recurring fees. People strongly urged future buyers to check their payment cards and bank statements closely due to these recurring subscription charges being applied automatically after a purchase.

We're a team of everyday golfers, course pros, and engineers who got tired of paying $50+ a dozen for the same premium golf ball. So we built our own. A ball re-engineered from the core for longer drives, straighter shots, and durability that holds up round after round. We sell it directly to golfers, which is how we keep a tour-level ball at under half the usual price. Every order is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not playing better, send it back, no questions asked.

The promise of greater distance is…

The promise of greater distance is sooooo false. I lost 1.5 club length with these balls. Their return policy requires me to pay shipping. Stay away from these folks. Edit: 2 days after writing this review, they charged me for a "club" they say I signed up for during checkout! Totally shady and not sure why the SEC let's them continue doing business. Will file a complaint with them as well.

They shipped using an unrecognized biller!

They shipped using a no-name shipper (ISOFO) that I couldn't even begin to track. Then on my bank statement online, billing showed up as ID770510487 CTHB Consulting Limited-in Hong Kong! My bank immediately put a hold on my account as possible fraud, and wouldn't release my own funds until I established it was indeed Forgeway using a cloaked billing system. DO NOT BUY THESE GOLF BALLS - they are underhanded in their billing and charge YOU to return unopened, unplayed balls at your expense. BAD BAD COMPANY!

Don't buy these golf balls....
I bought 3 golf balls on special offer. Thats all no subscription....
They were bought as a stocking filler for xmas. But low and behold after a couple of weeks another £14.99 was taken from my account.
I sent an email asking why but as such have had no reply....surprise. Reading other reviews they are known for this and people are saying they are not that good.
But what company takes money off you for nothing. DISGUSTING

Very poor experience

Very poor experience, you don’t realise you’re signing up for a subscription of £21.95 per month. Had to apply for a refund & to their credit, it came quickly. Does anyone wonder why the comments section on FB etc is always removed? Be very careful! Sorry to say the Golf balls are average at best.

This company is a total rip off!

This company is a total rip off!
I ordered 12 balls for £20 on an offer!
Just before payment a banner came up offering an uprated ball for an extra.08pence per ball!
Total£20.96.
The company took £30 from my account ! On challenging them they could not find my order!
Convienient!!
I supplied extra info and they :found : my order ,but said the invoice reflected the price when i ordered the balls!
This is all i get from this shit company from my corespondence!
I am initiating a cash grab back on my card!
I would advise people not to use this company!
I used the balls on saturday afternoon and am really dissapointed with them! The basic callaways i was given as a present are longer and straighter!
Once again do not use this bunch of scammers!
I look forward to getting my money back!
I clicked the no subscription button which is well hidden so hopefully no problems there!

ForgewayGolf is a scam! Hidden Extra Fees

This company are scamming customers with a hidden charge after purchases that they hope customers do not notice. Although they delivered my order, they scammed my credit card for the exact cost of a second purchase, one month later. After several attempts to resolve this charge, the company said it was a “Membership“ charge, which I never signed up for. I have seen many other customers complaining about this, with various amounts of fees, so why are they allowed to continue to advertise?!!

I'm afraid I was one of many who got suckered in by them, their claims are fraudulent this is a range ball at best and to return them costs nearly as much as the balls so I guess I am stuck with them, obviously this is a scam and keep away don't be suckered in like me and unfortunately others

I purchased these Golf Balls, without checking out the Company. My fault. Thanks to various reviews I contacted PP & found I had an active automatic payment with THB Consulting Limited, which has now been cancelled. I cannot tell you what these balls are like as I only purchased 2 days ago, but look other reviews, clearly a scam.

Shitty balls, unscrupulous business practices

Hitting the balls feels like hitting stones, but it's the hidden "subscription" that brings the score down from 2 stars to 1. Who ever heard of a subscription to a golf ball manufacturer? It's there on the website in mouse type but who'd ever think of looking for it and even if you saw it, who would click on it? No one would subscribe to a golf ball manufacturer's communications, much less pay for the privilege. TOTAL RIP-OFF.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience – be careful
I placed an order for Forgeway balls and other accessories, but I never received any confirmation, communication, or the products I paid for.
I contacted customer support, but they were unable to find my order. Despite this, the payment had already been charged to my American Express card.
I sent them all the payment details again and asked them to investigate the issue, but I have still received no answer or explanation.
At this point, this experience is extremely concerning. I paid for goods that I never received, and the company has not been able to locate my order or provide any satisfactory response.
I am now considering reporting the transaction to American Express and to the relevant authorities.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise potential customers to be very careful before placing an order. For me, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
Never again.

Forgeway golf are taking or trying to…

Forgeway golf are taking or trying to take monthly fees from my account. Beware of buying from them. Just checked my credit card and spotted a payment to them pending. It seems I will be making monthly payments to them which I never authorised. Hoping to get this cancelled in time but long answer times from Santander unreasonable.

Beware

You are told of the incredible performance of these amazing golf balls and decide to take the plunge and buy. Imagine your surprise that only when do you get to the check out magically you are offered an even better superior golf ball for an extra 0.70 per ball.
It’s a con , why not advertise both balls up front , openly and honestly, Beware..

Forgeway golf balls are a scam!

I ordered Forgeway golf balls based on their claim that I would add 20+ yards to my drives. They also indicate that their balls hook and slice less than other balls.
I hit their ball and then Titleist TruSoft and Callaway Supersoft. The performance of the Forgeway ball was inferior to the other balls, not better.
Their money back guarantee required me to pay for shipping to return the balls. I would be receiving very little back after paying shipping charges, so I am just calling myself a sucker and moving on. Don't buy Forgeway golf balls.
