Footplate Reviews

Had not heard of Footplate before but a really well organised, well priced and fast delivering outfit. Some excellent stock and great to know they are there.

Ordered used Pullman set. Arrived well packed and exactly as described. Kept fully informed during packing and shipping

This was my first purchase from Footplate, and every aspect of it was flawless. Communication by email was fast, informative, and courteous. The locomotives were well represented on the website and the actual condition was even better than I expected. They arrived at my home in the United States just eight days after the purchase. Thanks to a sturdy shipping carton, bubble wrap, and heavy paper filler, they were protected from some obvious bumps in transit. I would happily buy from Footplate again.

Very pleased with the product and service from Footplate Models. I have been after this model for some time so to get a new one that works well at a realistic price is great. Well packed and fast delivery.

Great value item, fantastic service, arrived quickly.

When you’re dealing with your father’s beloved and life-long model collection, trust and respect are the biggest factors one needs- it’s that simple. Rich and the Footplate team were supersonic from start to finish in the purchase of this collection. It’s allowed my family to move on knowing that the models will be found commensurate homes. A speedy and well orchestrated buying process that oozes expertise and knowledge.

Thank-you, Jonathan

I have purchased 2 items from Footplate and in both cases the products have been exactly as described. Very pleased with their service.

Great price and prompt delivery, will buy from again.

Good range of products, reasonably priced. Postage is promote and items well packaged. Have order on a number of occasions new and second hand items, have always been very pleased.

Fair pricing, accurate description of items, with some good bargains during sales; have also sold a large item to Footplate, who came to collect. Thoroughly recommend them, without hesitation.

Having seen the gauge 1 locos on the site and having read the descriptions I can only say that they were exactly as described. The team at Nantwich were very welcoming making the whole experience a welcome breath of fresh air. Well done.

Really great engine (Heljan Railcar) that ran straight out of the box. Good packaging, very rapid delivery.

And because of the good advert and great service, no need to contact them.

Also a great shop in Kidderminster just down from the SVR railway station

Fast delivery on my order of flexi track packaged was very good .
Would recommend this shop.

I am lucky enough to live fairly close to the shop, and it is always a pleasure to visit. It's a bit like like Doctor Who's Tardis, as it seems to be much larger on the inside that the outside! The shelves are stocked with just about everything you could ever need, I have rarely left empty handed. Derek is always keen to offer help and advice, as he has been in the business for many, many years. The mail order service is excellent, and bargains can always be found. It is always well worth a visit, try it for yourself.

Spending on unusual items without seeing them in person can be a dangerous practice. I'm extremely happy to say that in this instance there was no need to worry. Rare items exactly as described and delivered quickly. I've not had the chance to run them yet but the condition alone makes me a very satisfied customer. Thank you.

Wonderful service from Craig etc
Thank you so much for the speed of service over an issue I had, all sorted out and will definitely be using them again.

I have been dealing with Footplate for several years, both online, in the shop and at shows. They are professional, friendly and helpful at all times, Descriptions of stock is accurate and honest, whilst prices are very fair. I can fully recommend them.

I purchased a second hand item from the Footplate website at a very good price. It is now not produced and is becoming hard to find. My purchase arrived very quickly, well packaged and in as-new condition. Many thanks Footplate.

A great selection of pre-owned items. I am local, so can get my purchases delivered to the shop to avoid postage costs. Everything I have bought from here was accurately described on the website.
