The books we select for publication are timeless – we know they will be enjoyed and appreciated now and in the future. Because each book is considered as an individual object of value in its own right, there is a variety to our design and style – the only uniformity is in the quality of every single edition.

Nice books, but expensive with shipping exta
I ordered two books from Folio society. They were very expensive, and I was frustrated to have to pay for shipping on top of the high price of the items themselves. When the books arrived, they were indeed beautiful, but I felt that for the price the quality could have been better - the pages feel a bit like magazine paper and I expected to see more illustration/detail at the price level these books are at. I do like my books, but am not sure if the price is justified by the quality and added cost of shipping. In the future, I would probably only purchase at a discount.

Not to Judge a Book by its Cover, But...
I'll make an exception and say that these book covers and slip cases are part of the experience as much as the content of the book itself. All of which have been gorgeous thus far. I think people forget that bibliophiles are, in essence, collectors too. I also want to give credit to Marta who wrapped my books in that cardboard stuffing so many times just to insure that they'll arrive undamaged. Kudos!
