I made an error with the passenger name on the booking with Fly Dubai so I contacted them within minutes of making the booking but was forced to pay over $100 to make the change. After making the paym... See more

Incredibly difficult to deal with. Also make sure that when you book even a flexible fare or business class fare - they DO NOT REFUND.
They say they do, but it's only in voucher form. Considering the lack of flight options they have, a voucher is not really a refund if you could never use it again.
Worst experience at the airport
Worst experience at the airport. My sister had a flight to Bahrain, and we were only 4 minutes late due to an emergency situation. Despite explaining everything, the airport staff did not allow her to board the flight. What made the situation even more disappointing was that the same flight got delayed by 3 hours afterward.
The staff were extremely rude, unhelpful, and showed no cooperation or understanding at all. Very poor customer service and a highly stressful experience for passengers.

flydubai refused refund after Iran…
flydubai refused refund after Iran missile attack on UAE — account blocked without explanation
I was booked on flight FZ 995 (Dubai → Samara, 11 March 2026), booking ref 3749UG, paid AED 3,888. On that date, Iran launched a direct missile and drone attack on the UAE, making it physically impossible to travel to Dubai International Airport. A clear force majeure event.
flydubai's response:
— Refused to issue a full refund despite the flight being impossible due to an active military attack
— Blocked my EK Skywards account (900936525) without any prior notice or explanation
— Has not responded to any of my written complaints
This is unacceptable conduct. I have since filed a formal complaint and will be escalating to the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) if no resolution is provided.
Avoid this airline if you expect basic customer rights to be respected.
Sleezy scam company
Sleezy scam company. They advertise "flex" tickets with a "0%" penalty. They cancelled our flights (due to the war) but would not answer their phones to rebook. So we "cancelled" in reliance of the advertised cancellation terms. But they then tried to stick you with expiring flight vouchers. I issued a chargeback to my US credit card company but they submitted false information / fake screenshots (which I'm now having to dispute through my credit card company a second time).
Very doggy and rubbish company
Very doggy and rubbish company, they cancelled my flight and instead of refunding me, they gave me a conditional voucher! I tried to call them and stayed on the line for hours without any response, I can’t believe how doggy and rubbish they are
Flydubai cancelled my flight
Flydubai cancelled my flight from Dubai to the Maldives, which was booked for my honeymoon. After the cancellation, I selected the “refund” option on their website expecting a monetary refund, but instead I was issued a voucher without clear information that this would replace the refund.
I am unable to use the voucher because the alternative dates offered are not feasible, and I cannot afford to purchase new tickets at such short notice, as prices are now extremely high. As a result, our honeymoon has effectively been cancelled.
In addition, we will also lose our hotel reservation, which has already been fully paid, causing significant financial loss.
This situation has caused not only financial damage but also considerable emotional distress, as what was meant to be a special and meaningful trip has turned into a stressful and disappointing experience.
Furthermore, even considering the extraordinary circumstances affecting airspace due to the ongoing conflict, the company’s refusal to provide a monetary refund and insistence on issuing only a voucher demonstrates a lack of good faith in dealing with customers.
This type of conduct is also negatively affecting our perception of the United Arab Emirates as a safe and fair destination, as it reflects a company acting in bad faith toward its customers.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, Flydubai refuses to provide a monetary refund and insists on offering only a voucher, which I did not knowingly accept.
Flight cancelled - wrong personnel advice
My flight was cancelled with the reason "will not operate", and no alternatives were offered.
I knew about the conflict in the Middle East, so 1 day before the flight I personally went to the airport in Krabi, Thailand. The Flidybay representative told me to watch our email, and if the flight is cancelled, we must search for an alternative flight with any airline company because Flydubai does not offer alternative flights, but Flidybai will reimburse the cost of the new flight.
Flight was cancelled, I acted according to their instructions and then Flidybai only offered to reimburse the cost of Flidybai cancelled segment, not the cost of my new ticket.
I understand some situations are not under their control, but the instructions provided by the personnel are totaly under their control.
My Maldives flight with flydubai was…
My Maldives flight with flydubai was cancelled by the airline. I was told I could apply for a refund. This has only been offered by way of a voucher. I have requested a full, monetary, refund. This has been ignored twice. Would not recommend this company.
No flexibility at all
No flexibility at all, if it wasn't the only available option at the time i wouldn't have bothered to look at them.
They wont return your money, they will only give you a voucher with them so you are stuck to travel with them or your money is gone. Also you cant give the voucher to someone else. Such thivery is unprecedented.
Worst customer service
Unfortunately I can’t give negative points
Because 1 star is too much for them. Worst customer service ever. They cancel my flight and then rebook another one 5hours later and in a different airport, when i ask for a refund to original payment method they refuse. They ketp sending me to the travel agent just to avoid taking responsibility for their flight and inconvenience.

We had a very disappointing experience with flydubai.
We booked a flight from Yerevan to Dubai but were denied boarding due to our Iranian nationality. After this, the airline issued us a voucher.
We then used the voucher to book another flight, but shockingly, we were denied boarding again for the same reason. This means flydubai allowed us to rebook without resolving the issue, causing us to lose both time and money.
There was no clear communication or warning about any restrictions for Iranian passengers at the time of booking or voucher usage.
We contacted customer service multiple times, but they failed to provide a fair solution and eventually stopped responding.
This situation is extremely unprofessional and unacc
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Flydubai. The check-in staff were unprofessional and came across as rude, which made the start of the journey stressful. I also felt misled regarding additional baggage charges, which seemed excessive and poorly explained.
Overall, the experience lacked transparency and customer care. Based on this, I would be hesitant to fly with them again and cannot recommend the airline to others looking for a smooth, stress-free travel experience.
ZERO STARS
Flydubai cancelled and rescheduled our flights twice to a different day, leaving us with no viable option to travel as planned. As we needed to be at our destination on the original date, the revised flights were not workable.
Despite the disruption being caused by the airline—not the passenger—Flydubai refused to issue a refund to the original payment method and instead offered only a credit note. This is particularly disappointing given the circumstances.
Customer support escalations team via email
was equally frustrating. Responses lacked professionalism, accountability, and any genuine attempt to resolve the situation. Name of the Customer Support Agent at Flydubai: Raheel
Had this been a voluntary cancellation, the outcome would be understandable. However, when the airline cancels or significantly alters a flight, customers should not be forced into credit.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend Flydubai and would not choose to travel with them again.
My experience with Flydubai was apsolutely terrible
My experience with Flydubai was absolutely terrible.
Both of our flights were cancelled at the very last minute, and we were left completely on our own. No alternative flight was offered, no assistance, nothing. Their excuse was “conflict in the Middle East”, even though our flights were not in that region at all.
Because of their cancellation, we had to urgently book new tickets ourselves at much higher prices and stay longer than planned, which caused significant extra costs.
What makes it even worse is their extremely unprofessional and unhelpful customer service. Despite the fact that their cancellation caused all these expenses, they continue to refuse any reimbursement.
This is completely unacceptable for an airline. We are now seriously considering legal action.
Avoid Flydubai if you don’t want to risk being abandoned when something goes wrong.
Be aware, flydubai does not offer refunds!
Be aware! They cancelled my flight and gave no refund.
My flight from BUD to DXB was cancelled due to operational reasons. Refund was only offered in the form of a voucher and not actual money. I wanted an actual money refund as I had to book with another airline, but despite 3 phone calls and multiple emails, they ghosted me. Let that sink in: they cancel the flight, and they do not offer a refund. This is a scam. Never book with them.
No flexibility on tickets despite missiles
When all the other middle-eastern airlines are offering flexibility on fares due to the situation in the middle east, Flydubai does not. I understand things are not easy for therm and would accept a credit instead of a full refund, but not even that. These are difficult times, but they also cannot expect passengers to want to fly into a war zone via an airport that is subject to missile and drone attacks. I hope the war will be over soon, and I will be able to return to Dubai, but I will make a point of not booking on Flydubai in the future.
Flydubai canceled my flights - refusing refund
Flydubai canceled my flights, but have refused to refund me for the excess baggage payment that I made for two people
Horrible multiple cancelations
Flydubai cancelled our connecting flight from Dubai for more than 6 times and pushed out for more than 3 weeks. We saw that they are flying out from Dubai to other European destinations, so it became obvious that they are mostly cancelleling for economic reasons, not due to security and the war in Iran. We had to buy new expensive tickets and almost got tickets to yet another cancelled flight! Just because they were still selling tickets to the flights, which they already knew were going to be cancelled. Finally we got the tickets on the plane that was actually operating and afert long 48hours of flights and extra money we finally got back home.
