Becky at Doncaster floor giants (Wheatley hall Road) was amazing, Becky understood our requirements, extremely knowledgable about the products and her customer service exceptional. I would advise anyone to go who are unsure and need a good service without feeling ripped off and needed some help and Becky’s friendly and warm personality to explain the options made it easier, we are due to have it fitted shortly and will provide a further update, though so far highly recommended and please visit, completely affordable and if not for the insight and knowledge of the product and completely no hassle. Highly Recommended

I have now visited 2 of their stores in Cardiff. The first was the one on Newport rd, the guy was so extremely rude and inappropriate, that completely put me off. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, maybe was having a bad day, so I came back a few weeks later, and he was even worse, definitely shouldn't work on customers services. I was looking to change the flooring in one of our many rentals, I happily chose someone else and spent the £8000 elsewhere. Last week a friend asked me to accompany her to choose some flooring, didn't realised until we were there we were going to their store in Culverhouse (cardiff), OMG the guy (a completely different guy) was also so rude just because my friend has bought some flooring online and came looking for a similar colour (didn't care about the exact same one, just a similar one). Obviously they don't care about customer service or maybe they run like a Karen cafe where it's compulsory for their staff to be rude to customers.

Wanted engineered wood flooring throughout the whole of the upstairs of my house and arranged for the guy to come out and measure up.
Got the quote back 6495.04 for flooring with beading (inc VAT and fitting), taking skirting off and putting back on again would be 7365.29. Taking up and disposal of floors - 500.
I went back and asked if we could come down to 5800 (now I know that's still way over what it should be) and the back and forth started.
Trying to get a breakdown of the exact costs was impossible. I was told I was not allowed to be told the total measurement of the space as they had come out and measured for free. Let's face it I wasn't told this so I couldn't work out approx what I should have been charged. I was told one day that oak beading had doubled in price, the following day it had tripled???!!! At this point I told them to forget it due to the lack of transparency over costs and what I was being asked to pay for. Additionally I was asked to pay the whole sum upfront to lock in whatever discount (didn't get around to discussing that but was told it could be up to 30% - for materials only) I was given - apparently this isn't illegal but it's definitely unethical to apply such pressure.
Found a small, local company who have now quoted me 4000 for the whole thing (with beading), 4250 if I want the skirting taken off and put back and 264 for uplift and removal of existing floors.
Floor Giants were clearly trying to milk me for every penny. I'm just relieved that I could see what they were trying to do.

2 full packs of laminate flooring were broken. There was considerable delay in replacing them so the fitters had to leave the job and return the following week. The wrong replacements were sent on 2 occasions. In all we had to make 4 return journeys to collect the order each lasting between 1 and 2 hours. Staff were apologetic but no compensation was offered for the inconvenience, wasted time and petrol. Handling staff need to check that packs are not damaged and comply correctly with the order.

Guided me to what I needed make recommendations of products was never pressured into buying given time to decide held my purchases till I could collect would recommend your staff and company to friends and family thankyou for all the help I was given .not sure of date rough guess

Staff were very helpful. The flooring we wanted wasn’t in stock but they were able to have it sent from the warehouse within a week which was fine for our needs

Competiively priced. Quick delivery from date of order. Staff phoned to let us know our vinyl had been delivered and arranged fitting. 10th July 2025

Terrible communication. No apology for cancelling my fitting when I had to take 2 days off work. They failed to organise for the the door to be cut down prior to screeding. Then tried to deny that they knew it was an outside door that needed cutting down despite standing with me at the actual door during the visit. They have taken my money but no idea when I will get my floor. Avoid this company!
