I was told that I had a free trial, which is the only reason I agreed to try out the terminal for a month. They charged my account before even depositing money. Not impressed.
These guys are no worse then scammers
These guys are no worse then scammers! lied and sold me on a 60 month lease i told them I did not want. One week after first contacting them to cancel with daily phone calls, emails, and even text msgs and NOTHING. steer clear
Pure Scammers
Pure Scammers. They promise rates like 1.28% , make fake excel calculators and misrepresent what you will really pay for everything. They make false promises to cancel your old accounts and payout leases for equipment. They'll let the sales staff say or do anything to sign a contract because most people are to passive to fight back when the get scammed.
Easy transition!
The transition between our old merchant at Flashpay was quite seamless. They were organized and had everything ready to for us. We had a couple minor bumps initially with our new machine giving us errors but once we spoke to the proper person they were able to download the necessary updates to eliminate the problem. So far we are very happy with making the switch!

I have been a bit confused over the change from Elavon and First Data.Particularily on canceling Elavon and First Data.I was told to wait until after we have more credit usage however I want the machine to have insurance under our Ranch policy but was given only 30 days from date on the letter.(possibly slow mail)I need to know the cost of the machine to get this insurance .Also the tape receipts should read Stewart Coughlin Riding Ranch -the same as our cheques not Coughlin Stewart Riding R.Edna Coughlin

I had a bad experience when I was in a panic and now forms that are form the bank that are acceptable everywhere else aren’t acceptable to you. But That was with First Data and not Flashy. Flashpay called the next day and made the process easier.

The tapping function often doesn't work…
Update: a couple weeks ago I received a copy of my lease for the terminal in the mail. I was shocked by this as my sales rep Sean Gladstein, told me I would be on a 45 day trial. So why the hell am I on a 5 year lease? I tried calling him, emailing him, texting him. He never replies. So I tried calling customer service, support, eventually any extension I can find in hopes someone will answer. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS. I leave voicemails, emails, nothing for days. Finally someone named Harvey calls me back but I wasn’t in at that moment. When I call him back, his voicemail now belongs to someone named Steve. Of course, he doesn’t answer either. I email and call customer support. A couple days later someone named Hiree calls me back. She addresses my original question about the tap feature, but anytime I bring up my original contact Sean, or my trial period, or the lease, she interrupts me, tells me she knows nothing about that as they’re in a different branch from Sean, and changes the subject. After a while of this I give up as I wasn’t sure I wanted to cancel just yet anyway. (I needed more time to compare rates).
Then today, my machine isn’t working. We call for support. Various numbers. NO ONE PICKS UP. We’re on hold for more than 2 hours. I email. Nothing.
I am still within my 45 day trial so thankfully I didn’t cancel my previous provider yet. I emailed Flashpay again to tell them I don’t want to use their service anymore. No response yet.
All I wanted was someone to call back. Had you done that I would’ve kept your service.
Original 3 star review.
The tapping function often doesn't work on the terminal, resulting in customers having to use their chip. Even after some customers use their chip and password, it asks for their signature. Some customers are put off by this.
I have been trying to get in touch with my rep about this problem for over a week now and he hasn't gotten back to me.

I was told I can cancel at any time without penalty and then found out that this is not the case even with an email from my salesman telling me so. I asked salesman For another email Still have not received it I would never signed up knowing that I could not cancel at anytime

We are new to Flashpoint and still have to get used to it. We haven't figured out how to manually put credit cards in. Square is better and easier even it's more expensive.
You can reach out all you want, but no one will answer.
You can reach out all you want, but other than a promise that someone who can help will eventually get a hold of you... NOTHING. Issue still sits unresolved and the company remains unresponsive. I don't recommend this company for your Interac POS provider. Go to your own bank or Moneris, or even Shopify, anywhere else but here.

A very seem less transfer from my old machine. This new Company and machine seem, so far, to be far better than the "M" word that I was dealing with.
