It listens and records without you knowing. I just had a horrible experience this Fireflies.ai. I work in special education in a school district. A few weeks ago someone used Fireflies to summarize an IEP meeting. I had to create an account to look at the meeting notes and was impressed with the format and information. Little did I know that Fireflies.ai had infiltrated my Google calendar and was recording meetings and sending out transcripts to all those in attendance--even if I was not in attendance. I did not sign-up for that--I only wanted to read a transcript from a meeting I couldn't attend. It caused huge problems at work, violated confidentiality, parent and student rights under FERPA and created a bunch of turmoil on our team when it was recording a venting session that it had no business recording. I was not able to figure out how to get rid of this on my own. My programmer son helped and I was able to disconnect the bot from my Google account. However, when I logged in to delete the files and my account, it reattached itself and I had to go in and delete it from my Google again. I sent the link to do this out to my colleagues because someone's mic was recording when I was not in the meeting. I cannot believe a web site can get so much access without explicitly asking for these permissions. A simple click on permissions to get into the app to see a meeting transcript turned into the AI having full access to my calendar, microphone and colleagues. Be VERY cautious if using this. It was also impossible to cancel from my phone as I sat in my principal's office crying. The delete buttons don't work. It was much easier to cancel from my laptop. Never again will I interact with this AI program.

Fireflies makes my daily life easier! From a professional standpoint, the help Fireflies offers me is a huge asset. It allows me to be more efficient, productive and to focus on tasks that require my expertise.

The payment plan was not transparant. I tried the business account for free for a week, but tried to get out after a few hours. But the app would not let me back in.
Then of course (as it goes) I forgot. I never got any emails or notifications, but 7 days later the money was taken from my card.
That, for me, is theft.
I don't care whether this app is great or not, I think the plan is too expensive and the data not sufficiently secure, which is why I chose for another app instead. But Fireflies, apparently, thought differently.
Now that I paid, I can access the app again and - yes - I was able to cancel my subscription to the platform I was never intending to use, but paid for.

It was nice to use fireflies, good xp.

I paid a yearly fee of $120 and was then charged an additional monthly fee for actually using the product. I kept noticing these $5 fees on my account and finally had to ask them what it was for. Then, outranged, I asked to cancel my account and was told since I didn't complete the one year plan it would be calculated at a monthly plan for the refund. Such a scam. Copilot can do pretty much the same thing at NO CHARGE. Thanks for NOTHING. Oh, I'm so mad.

Great experience. The extension is very reliable and easy to use. I would definitely recommend it to others. The transcription accuracy is excellent, and the live recording feature is especially impressive, making meetings and follow-ups much more efficient.

Well, they are doing exactly what they said. I can get my call recordings and transcriptions. I get a pretty detailed summary, and everything just works well.

Fireflies.ai is a game changer for anyone trying to make the most out of their meetings!!

Love Fireflies! Have been using it for 4 years and I love how they are constantly innovating with AI capabilities - I especially like their Real time notes and coaching feature. And they have all my favourite tools as native integrations.

I have been charged for 29$ even though I deleted my account, and wrote 2 emails to support to stop sending me payment attempts emails. So after I deleted my account in 6 days I still got charged and no way to use the account.

After 2 hours, I received my money back, and they said that it's my fault, because "I didn't cancelled in time" but they will make an exception.

I didn't know that deleting my account means that I still want to use that service.

The most scam-my service I had experienced in a while! I received a link to get a recording of a meeting I attended to but to get it you have to:
1. Create an account
2. sync your calendar!!!!!

I used non-primary account, and the flow almost forces you to give a credit card!
And after all that I still can't download the meeting!

Beware of Fireflies! Understand that this is an AI service run by AI and bots not humans. If you have a problem, you'll be placated by a bot. Cancel within a required timeframe and need a refund? Not possible and you can kiss that money goodbye and be sent around in circles with the promise of an issue being resolved, but it never progresses

This is a great app, as it seamlessly connects to all my meetings, including Google Meets, Teams, and Zoom. Love the simplicity and how accurately it takes down the notes during meeting discussions.

Terribly invasive! Never included it in my meetings, and all of a sudden it'd join even before I do. WTF!

One of the best tools that I've used. Using it for the transcription of the calls that I am doing. It's my go-to that I can't just work without right now because you can use it with any LLM, ChatGPT, Claude, and you get the whole perspective that you wouldn't get without taking some notes right away. So yeah, 10 out of 10.

so they basically gave me free credits to their AI nonsense, and then started charging me 5$ a month without me confirming that i need their stuff, that's classic dark scheme, avoid them

My overall experience has been excellent. Fireflies has streamlined my meeting process, improved my organization, and allowed me to focus on the conversation instead of worrying about note-taking. The accuracy, reliability, and simplicity of the tool make it a must-have for anyone who attends frequent meetings.

works well, but intrusive. it keeps appearing in meetings i never approved.

Fireflies claimed I created 2 accounts, with the same email, same billing, same seats and same users - then refused to refund more than 3 months as they were created "manually." Utterly ludicrous.
