Not happy

Do not listen to what this training company tells you about a guaranteed job interview. Its not true. I fell victim to this company after achieving my CISMP. Don't listen to the job offer thing. They'll coerce you into joining LinkedIn but the 'gauranteed' job offer doesn't exist and CISMP and SC-900 are not significant enough entry qualifications for even a junior post in cyber security.

I attended the CISSP course and found…

I attended the CISSP course and found that the class didn’t adequately prepare me for the exam. The exam was way more technical and the pass rate for the class was low. I contacted firebrand on Sunday about this and have not had a reply as yet. As such I couldn’t recommend the course as it costs a lot and the quality just isn’t there.

Perran Is Amazing !!!

Perran has been an exceptional support throughout my apprenticeship. He's consistently gone above and beyond to help me and my fellow apprentices with any issues we've encountered. Perran's genuine care for his students is evident in his approachable and non judgmental demeanor. He treats us as individuals, not just tick boxes on a checklist.
Whether it's a mental health concern or a study related question, Perran is always there to offer helpful advice and guidance. He also actively works to improve the company's processes to ensure we can successfully complete our apprenticeship. I've never felt like Perran was holding back or sugarcoating anything. He's always upfront and willing to help me work through any challenge, one-on-one. If you're fortunate enough to have Perran as your mentor, you're in excellent hands.

Perran was an amazing mentor

Perran was an amazing mentor who guided me and my apprenticeship colleagues every step of the way. Anytime i needed help he was always there to support me and answer any queries. Without Perran the apprenticeship would have been a lot harder.

They are worst and cheaters

They are worst and cheaters. I just wasted my 9000 euro . I was told guaranteed pass and unlimited Microsoft course later They don’t run all courses. They run only when they customers . Please don’t get trapped . I haven’t done any exam because I am unable to schedule it . I was misguided by their team Please stay away from them .

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. Went on two training courses and nobody passed the exam on either course. Nothing was done to try and put this right by them, they had their money and ran.

Reaching out to my employer without permission to advertise, shameless advertising

Absolutely disgraceful marketing. I enquired about courses and made the huge mistake of including my employers name in the enquiry. Without my permission, or any kind of conversation with me at all, they reached out to my employer via email in an attempt to offer courses. Stating that I had enquired for certifications and can offer a discount if it is through the company.
The company I work for operates in a different sector of technology and just for the sake of advertising, Duncan decides to show them that I am interested in developing skills unrelated to my role.
How unprofessional and greedy can you get. You did that without even considering the implications to my employment.

A masterclass in CISSP Richard Heysmond

I had the pleasure of attending a week long boot camp for CISSP that was taught by Richard H. This review is more a review of the excellent instructor Richard which really set out my first experience with firebrand apart

I had the pleasure to be taught by Richard. Right from the first moment his teaching style is like no other. From the characterisation, little anecdotes and a dash of humour it makes the perfect mix. Rich is very passionate about teaching and this showed through - he is able to break down complex topics and really does a fantastic job getting you exam ready in a week for a course that typically takes people months to study for. This is possible due to his experience in the field where he is able to provide insight into what’s relevant and what’s not. From the first session to the last minute of the last day he demonstrated an unmatched level of enthuasism. Combined with his teaching style and enthusiasm it made the week flow by and made the long slog days completely fly by. Not only was he able to maintain this enthuasism from 8 a clock till 6 but Richard made himself after hours both in person and by email. I believe this is because he has a genuine interest in teaching ( having previously taught in schools).

The course itself was great. The material setup that firebrand facilitates is the perfect combination. From meals to the study centre, the snacks and unlimited coffee are tailored to enable candidates to succeed. This is reflected in the fact that the high pass rates for firebrand vs the industry standard . Thanks to Richard and firebrand I was able to pass CISSP in a week long boot camp. The week long course with the option to take the exam at the end of the week works perfectly.

For anyone thinking about booking don’t hesitate - this was my first experience with fireabrand and I will definitely use them in the future again. A special thanks to Richard who left a long lasting impression and has set the bar for how all courses should be taught. If you can join a course with him!!

CISM - Great quality learning and coaching

Firebrand delivers solid and great quality of learning for the CISM course I participated in facilitated by a knowledgable and skilled instructor who had real life experience with Information Security Management with a good ability to provide valuable exam coaching

The Wyboston Lake venue was OK, but not top notch, hence the four star review (opposed to five star)

MS -102 course should be taught over 5…

MS -102 course should be taught over 5 days. 3 Days (more that 14 hours per day) was not enough.
