Predatory business practice.
I feel deeply misled by Financeit’s lending practices. At the end of my 5-year term, I had about $1,100 remaining on my loan. Without missing any payments, I was shocked to find that the interest rate had been significantly increased—not just on the remaining balance, but apparently applied retroactively to the original loan amount.
This is not what I was told when I initially signed the agreement through Snap Financial. I am currently working with professionals to retrieve the original phone call to confirm what was promised.
Because of this change, I now owe an additional $1,300. I would not have agreed to this loan had I known the terms would change so drastically. If I had been aware of how this would play out, I would have paid for the furnace outright.
I’m sharing this to help others avoid a similar situation. Please read the fine print carefully and consider all financing options before proceeding.

six months to get no responses
I have tried for six months to get someone actually read my repeated emails, update their records to my new email address and send me an account statement to send full payment since their website has a site blocker for out of Canada logins.
It’s been repeated excuses that my email address is not registered on their website so they cannot do anything to help me.
How many people send an email saying that they want to pay somebody else’s account off?
They appear to not want to do any work with their clients, just take your payment and shut up.
In my 65 years, they are the most irritating business I’ve ever had to deal with.
