At the beginning I was a bit concerned..

At the beginning I was a bit concerned about the delivery and quailty, given some previous reviews I read. In my case the delivery was quick, according to what was offered. I received what I expected, with clear assembly instructions. One downside is that the tools needed for assembly are not included, and I received two wrong sized screws.

Reliable company

Reliable company, bike was delivered in good condition and on time. The assembly is a bit trickier than I thought initially if you choose to assemble it yourself. I managed in the end with no issues

Fast and easy

Placed an order on Friday late afternoon and to my surprise the bike arrived less than 24h later on Saturday. The tracking made it simple and I could see when the driver was near my place.
From the box, there were 2 screws missing, and 1 brake was fully connected while another wasn’t, so I needed some extra help from a professional to finish assembling the bike. The only reason I did not call fietsenplaats was because I needed the bike ready by Sunday.
Other than that, so far happy with my purchase and would buy again if I need to.

I was supposed to receive my order the…

I was supposed to receive my order the next day, however, the bike was delivered two days after, and accessories have not still been delivered nor I have any information when it will be delivered although I placed the order 5 days ago.

everything went wrong, awful customer service

everything went wrong, from ordering to paying to delivering to assembling !
the site was not accepting the credit card (international, Black Mastercard), then when the order got confirmed that's when they tell you that the bike is only 85% assembled (yes, it is not announced upfront, you must look for the info to get it, it's actually written on the "ordering and delivery page, you have to click on the page to get the info !). Then the bike was supposed to be delivered between 14:00 and 18:00, and it got delivered at 19:00, no warning whatsoever, a full afternoon wasted waiting for them.
Now the funny part : there is NO INSTRUCTIONS on their website or anywhere on the internet on how to assemble the model of bike I had purchased (Cargo plus N3 for men) ! They send you a link showing you (poorly) how to assemble a bike almost like yours, but not yours, and trust me, the differences are showing ! Then you call the help desk, well to get help, they tell you to send an email and wait for the answer (with your bike in part down on the street in front of your house...). And finally the bike is up, then you noticed that the cable for the front brake is not tense, it cost me 20 euros to get it fixed a local bike repairs shop...
So all in all, pretty bad experience, never again, stay well away from them.

I have received a bike after receiving…

I have received a bike after receiving an email that my order got cancelled. So eventually, because I made a new order, I received 2 bikes.

Customer Care is asking me to bring it back myself, excuse me ? You made the mistake, you fix this.

I called today and got told I would be recontacted by Dennis, that never happened

Very happy with service

I ordered my bike online after searching through numerous sites for exactly what I wanted. Placed my order and then realised I had ordered the wrong frame size as I am quite short in height. Contacted the online chat and they confirmed they could send me the smaller frame. I had numerous notifications confirming my bike was on the way. Very happy with my new bike!!!

Super fast delivery, love my Spirit bike!

Really appreciate how helpful the information was on the website, including frame height. The chat agent was also helpful when I was trying to figure out if the bike came assembled. Please note the bike will not be 100% assembled at arrival (about 85% assembled) but you can pay for them to assemble it fully prior to delivery if you include it in the note upon checkout. Very clear tracking information so I knew when to be home to receive the delivery. And the customer service agents always kept me updated via email about the bike. Finally, the bike is gorgeous--looks even better than pictures. Sturdy and the breaks feel good.

Perfect customer experience

Perfect customer experience. Went in, said what I needed, and walked out with the bike order that fit all my needs. While I speak Dutch, the young man who helped me spoke in English to help me really get the difference between the bikes and what would be suit my needs. Thank you Fietsenplaats.

They were very empathetic and found me…

They were very empathetic and found me the perfect solutions, they met the delivery date on my day off and even though the courier was not so careful with the distribution, I got in touch with the team and they replaced the defective part. Very quick in finding solutions for personal needs. Congratulations!!!

Scammers

They are scammers.
I would give them less than one star if Trustpilot allowed it.
You will feel better setting your money on fire rather than wasting it with them.
I did a late research on them after buying a transport bike online and realized my mistake. This is what happened next:
- I called them the next morning to cancel the shipment, but they refused my request, saying it was already shipped. It was Saturday. I only got the notification that the bike was sent out two days later. They lied so they wouldn't cancel.
- After I received the package, while assembling, I realized the parts that were assembled by the company were faulty. This included installment of a break handle and gear shifter. The body was also beaten up and the colors were damaged. This was in addition to the overall quality of the product that was disappointing.
- I reached out to them enquiring about the return option. They said they charge "€50 for picking up your bike and sending it back to Spirit". Some Google reviews say that some unhappy customers were not refunded even after returning the bike, so yeah, good luck with the return option.

The same company runs multiple websites under different names to mislead customers. Be aware.

Good online bike store

Very good experience. WhatsApp support number helps in case of assembly issues.
I highly recommend Fietsenplaats for all the bikes.

Only downside is that they have store only in Rotterdam and Zaandam.
