So far so good

So far so good. I haven't yet received the medications but I have enjoyed the quick service, and immediate response once I paid for the first consultation. This is my first virtual health service and so far so good.

Surprised

I received a message last week and thought I was answering questions from the nurse practitioner. Then I had to pay $40. for a "visit" where nothing was resolved anyway.

The messages you answered last week were from your practitioner about your renewal visit, which they use to review your responses, update your treatment plan, and issue your next prescription so you can keep taking your medication. The $40 covers that review, and the outcome was that your practitioner renewed your prescription, and your new prescription is on the way. If anything about the plan still doesn't feel resolved, you can message your practitioner directly through your Felix account at no extra cost, and they'll be happy to follow up with you.

I didn’t like the 40$ renewal fee

I didn’t like the 40$ renewal fee. I have a box on my screen that says I’ve earned free visits so this is confusing.
Also, I didn’t love my renewal process this time. I had to wait until May 1 to renew.
I expressed my concern about wanting to continue increasing my dose as I’m nowhere near my goal weight. I was told I would stay on the same dose for the next 3 months?! Don’t I decide if I’d like to increase?? I have no side effects. I’m hardly losing any weight. Why am I paying to stay stuck at a dose when I potentially may need more? I don’t like being told I’ll be staying at 10mg for 3 months. Then I’ll need to renew again just to move up ? Why am I not increasing monthly??? I have at least 30 pounds to lose still.

Regarding the free visits: the credits you see on your screen are for free initial visits, such as new treatment area intakes, so they don't apply to a weight loss renewal. Renewals cost $40, and that fee actually covers more than the renewal itself. Any check-ins with your practitioner during this 3-month stretch are included in what you've already paid, so reaching out to them costs you nothing extra.

On the dose: I completely hear you on wanting to keep moving toward your goal, and weight loss can vary quite a bit from person to person. It's not unusual for progress to feel slower than expected, especially when you compare it to others' experiences. Your practitioner has prescribed three months at your current dose, but you don't have to wait the full three months before discussing an increase. After one month on the new dose, you can check in with your practitioner (free, included in your renewal) and ask about going up. The reason they don't jump straight to a high dose is that skipping the recommended titration steps can actually cause harm, even if you aren't feeling side effects right now, so the gradual approach is there to protect you.

One last thing worth knowing for the future: if you ever want to change your dosage, you don't need to wait until your next renewal like you did this time. You can submit a free change of dosage visit right from your account whenever you'd like, and your practitioner will review it.
