AVOID THIS COMPANY

We've tried unsuccessfully for 2 months to cancel our subscription, with repeated tickets to their Customer Support line.

Massive violations of FTC subscription cancellation rules.

We've reported this company to our bank, the BBB, and the FTC.

Good

Good, Can't speak to what it's like to work for them, but the VAs I have used have all been great. I think people need to have a realistic view of what a task consists of. The price for Fancy Hands is very low, so you're not going to get someone to be an senior level executive assistant for 20 minute task. I have a really busy day job and I'm on the phone a lot, so I can't make a lot of phone calls for personal stuff. So I use Fancy Hands to make calls to verify appointments, make reservations, call contractors etc. The only thing I wish was better was the "live" request function. You will just sit there forever waiting for someone, and it doesn't really work. So I'd say this company is great for basic appointment scheduling and calls. They're also good at doing basic web searching. I just don't ask them to do super complicated tasks. Overall I'm pretty happy

Only good for braindead phone calls

Only good for braindead phone calls. Terrible quality, you have a 25% chance that the VA will actually do your task. It's more pain than its worth.

You end up doing the task yourself, and then when you cancel a request they don't refund you unless you email support & they'll sometimes miscount.

Terrible service

Terrible service. The owner is extremely rude and dismissive, showing no appreciation for long-term clients, even after nearly four years of using their service. The quality of the assistants has significantly declined, with many being unprofessional and insubordinate. They’ll start a task, only to refuse to finish it, claiming they’re uncomfortable—yet they had no issue accepting the task and using your credits. Completely unprofessional and disappointing.

Very much a take your money and run…

Very much a take your money and run type of plce
The people who do the jobs are usually good but the man who runs this place is very short and irritated all the time. He's always complaining to me about stuff none of the people complain about \what I also don't like is that when you post an opportunity all of your private information is sent to multiple social media platforms with all of your information on it. I also don't like the old style site. it isn't a problem when requesting a worker however log in is ridiculous at time
I also want to raise the biggest red flag is I had a lot of money in my account, I had to stop using the site for 3 months and they wont let me back into my account to continue yeat they have all of those months worth of money they took out

I just applied and immediately received the status of my application "Thanks for your interest in working with Fancy Hands and taking the time to apply. It's not the right fit at this time, but we wish you the best of luck in the future!" I guess I am overqualified! What a waste of my time creating a resume just to copy and paste it with my information!!! I will need to freeze my Credit.

Do not trust these guys

Do not trust these guys. They wasted my time for over a month, I paid them, then they told me that they couldnt work with me because they didnt do bookkeeping after I was clear this was what I was looking for. THEN they stole my money and never refunded me when they said they would. They are thieves do not work with these scammers.

I would NOT recommend Fancy Hands

I would NOT recommend Fancy Hands. Their VA's are alright but their customer service is APPALLING, the worst of the 3 companies I have tried, totally unhelpful. I will never use them again.

They wanted me to pay or to use an additional task in order to update me on a task that I already completed and paid for. The part they ordered did not show up, and in asking what happened, they refused to help me and insisted I pay for them to check.

They continued to bill my membership despite me canceling and their customer service refused to help.

Would not recommend in 2024

The quality of FancyHands has significantly deteriorated over the 2 or so years I have been a member and absolutely would not recommend their 2024 services. They no longer offer advertised benefits (prompt response times, making orders for you, using your info to pay bills). Being charged for services I didn't use and not getting responses on tasks and emails were the last straws. Customer service does not seem to have any interest in honoring their own policies or advertised features. I am sad to be cancelling my membership, as this was once a great referral option and one that was super helpful before it deteriorated. I'm out about $150 in unused tasks due to their recurrent billing even after asking for a pause.

Downtrending quality

Downtrending quality , increased turn around time past the advertised 24 hours even with simple tasks . There is also a bunch of rules that are not known and only run into when they cannot finish a request making it kind of unreliable with time sensitive requests . I am currently looking elsewhere and do not recommend the service . Their customer service administrators are trash and write in cranky tone . This company will soon go to zero.

Deeply Disappointed Service. Stay Away.

I am deeply disappointed with the services provided by Fancy Hands. As a customer of over 15 months, I have been saving credits for later use, only to be met with a degraded service that is totally outrageous.

I have had several negative experiences with their services. Normal tickets took over 24 hours to be processed, and despite being simple PA tasks, they were unable to process them in a timely manner. I had to follow up multiple times, only to be told that they cannot process my requests.

Furthermore, there was an incident where they repeatedly asked me to add requests because they ran out of time waiting on the line. After waiting for an extended period, I eventually gave up and called their hotline, where I was able to get to a person within 3 minutes.

To make matters worse, I also experienced their "live request" feature not being live at all. I sent a request and waited for hours without receiving any response.

After these unpleasant experiences, I asked for a refund on the requests I had saved. However, their team straight out rejected my request, saying that their "no refunds on used credits" policy has no exception. I find this policy to be unfair and unreasonable, given the degraded service they provided me.

Overall, I cannot recommend Fancy Hands to anyone looking for reliable and efficient PA services. Their recent degradation in services has caused significant inconvenience for me, and their unwillingness to provide a refund for their unsatisfactory service only adds to the disappointment. I urge potential customers to reconsider their choice and consider other options.

They are useless but happily take your money without telling you.

They are useless. Can't handle simple administrative jobs outside the US. When they failed at the first job I gave them I cancelled my account (or I thought I did). Something went wrong and somehow it never got cancelled. I was being charged with no notifications for 6 months before I went back through my credit card statements and realised. I asked fir it all to be refunded but of course, they don't refund unused credits. Robbery!

Safer to do it yourself

Used them twice for very simple bookings (cab and restaurant) and in each case not time saving. Each task took multiple days with unnecessary back and forth. Definitely not the “fire and forget” experience I was hoping for.

Gave up after I asked for a cab to be booked with no response for two days, and then “do you still need it?”. When there was less than a day to go and I said yes, they said “we’ll try on such a short notice.” There was plenty of notice.

I’m sure they are very busy during the festive period but so are their customers, who pay in advance - and that’s also when you need this kind of service the most. It’s theirs to staff up for it.

Not worth it....

At least for me, it's not worth it. I tested the virtual assistant first to see if I could trust this service. They responded quickly to the tasks but it was not efficient. They made mistakes, incorrect results although I gave them everything in detail for what I was asking on several tasks. I was able to do everything better myself and save money by just doing it myself. This service did not meet my expectations.
