Great option to help your score

The objective to help boost your score is well met. The way the system looks into possible contributions to your history is phenomenal. The boost increased my score 20 pts. Thank you so much.

It doesn't really make any difference it only detects certain bills unfortunately. Total waste of time.

However, it is not a guarantee that your score will go up. Each person who uses Experian Boost® will have a different result. Some people see a big boost and some do not see a boost at all.

Here are some of the reasons why qualifying accounts may not be found:

•Accounts are paid by non-electronic means such as cash, check, or money order.

•The utility or telecom payee name may not be recognized at this time.

•There is not enough recent/recurring payment history for qualifying accounts. Experian Boost currently requires at least 3 recent payments.

•Do you make the payments each month without skipping a calendar month? For example, if you pay a utility bill quarterly (2 payments in 6 months) that account will not be recognized.

•The bank does not give access to enough account history

•Some municipalities do not differentiate between utility payments, parking tickets, or court fees, only identifying the payee by municipality name (e.g., “Anytown fees”). If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to us. Thanks. -Karen

I have a car loan with GM since Dec 2024
Always paid on time it is not listed
I called GM they told me they report to credit bureau. I connected my checking Experian should see it and it needs to be reported!

Hi Susan. Although Experian would like every credit account to be reported, creditors are not required to report account information to the credit reporting companies. The U.S. credit reporting system is completely voluntary. Federal laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, specify requirements for lenders if they choose to report your account information.

Always review your report carefully. In some cases, an account may be appearing under a different business name than the one you know it by. For example, it may be reported using an abbreviated form of the business name, or under the name of the bank used to finance the account, rather than the name of the retail store.

If you have already obtained a copy of your credit report directly from Experian and have verified that the accounts in question are not appearing, contact your creditors directly to inquire whether or not they report to any of the credit reporting companies. It WORKS. Paid my phone bill and gained 16 points

It is definitely been a huge help. I paid my phone bill and gained 16 points and it told me that if I pay my Consumers energy bill as well. It gave me for instances on what my points gained could be.

Experian, a great app to use

Experian, through emails, constantly keeps me updated on my FICO score, cards I am eligible for, loans I am eligible for, how to boost my FICO score, BOOST which raised my FICO score, etc. It is a good app that is very useful 👍🏼💪🏼💯

Wont let me log in won't let me change…

Wont let me log in won't let me change password when I was logged on few mo months ago had someone else's credit on my report contacted them but they told me I had to contact the creditors but they told me experian had to do it as they where reporting it conflicting information

I had great credit scores before an illness and a fee delayed resulting in a brief interruption in my usual prompt payment.

ALL debt is paid in full yet my score is still not considering it! I did not “settle debt”, I paid all!

The primary factors are payment history, balances on your open accounts, the average age of accounts in your report, the types (mix) of accounts, and the number of recent credit inquiries. There are usually subsets of those primary factors that are being calculated as well. Below are the factors in which the Experian® score is calculated: Payment History - 35% Amount Owed - 30% Length of Credit History - 15% New Credit - 10% Types of Credit Used - 10%. Thanks. -Karen
