Job well done
Everything was easily to predetermine in price etc. on the website, on collection the staff were friendly and courteous. Picking up the car took literally 10 minutes, quick and effortless.

Paying for nonexistent damages
I rented a car in Europcar in Greece and when I was dropping of the car I was notified about some damage repair which I have video to prove that doesn't exist. I was forced to sign the form to drop the car and was charged on my card for the repair.
Be aware of dodgy practices by this company. I would avise you to find a better one

Without doubt the worst experience I have ever had in hiring a rental car, a word they used to me reputable....they are far from this, the term cowboys is more appropriate....
I had paid for the rental online, when I turned up and checked the car over, I loaded the car up and upon closing the tailgate one of the gas struts broke which hold it up. I approached a member of staff who took pictures of the damage and told me that as it was not my fault they would add the images to my record and I wouldn't be charged for it. Believing that they were a competent company and using the tailgate wasn't that important I drove off and had 2 weeks of hassle free motoring. When I then returned the car to Europcar wow and behold there was no record of the damage/picture and basically accusing me of lying and making this up. How could such a competent member of staff make this mistake!!? I tried to contest this but they wouldn't listen, I said ypu have a cctv camera and that would confirm the events and they would look into it. Never have I felt like being accused of lying and making this up. Do not use, all members of staff are untrustworthy and will have you over a barrel if they can especially if you are a tourist.

Είχα πληρώσει για την ενοικίαση μέσω Διαδικτύου, όταν εμφανίστηκα και έλεγξα το αυτοκίνητο, φόρτωσα το αυτοκίνητο και κλείνοντας την πόρτα του χώρου αποσκευών έσπασε ένα από τα γόνατα αερίου που το συγκρατούν. Πλησίασα ένα μέλος του προσωπικού που τράβηξε φωτογραφίες της ζημιάς και μου είπε ότι, καθώς δεν έφταιγα εγώ, θα προσθέσουν τις εικόνες στο αρχείο μου και δεν θα χρεωθώ γι' αυτό. Πιστεύοντας ότι ήταν μια ικανή εταιρεία και ότι χρησιμοποιούσα την πόρτα του χώρου αποσκευών δεν ήταν τόσο σημαντικό, έφυγα και είχα 2 εβδομάδες χωρίς ταλαιπωρία οδήγησης. Όταν επέστρεψα το αυτοκίνητο στην Europcar, ουάου και ιδού, δεν υπήρχε καμία καταγραφή της ζημιάς/εικόνας και βασικά να με κατηγορούσε ότι είπα ψέματα και το έφτιαξα. Πώς θα μπορούσε ένα τόσο ικανό μέλος του προσωπικού να κάνει αυτό το λάθος!!; Προσπάθησα να το αμφισβητήσω, αλλά δεν με άκουσαν, είπα ότι έχετε μια κάμερα cctv και αυτό θα επιβεβαίωνε τα γεγονότα και θα το εξετάσουν. Ποτέ δεν είχα όρεξη να με κατηγορήσουν ότι λέω ψέματα και το επινοώ. Μην το χρησιμοποιείτε, όλα τα μέλη του προσωπικού είναι αναξιόπιστα και θα σας έχουν πάνω από το βαρέλι αν μπορούν, ειδικά αν είστε τουρίστας

There is a big chance you will not end up with the car you paid for!
Europcar vs Avis: Who won? Avis takes out the gold this time with a much cheaper car rental, a price match and better policy, wider acceptance of cash as a payment method, no penalty for returning your vehicle early and a more flexible additional driver policy, which allows partners and employers to be added for free.
Just remember this place does not accept all credit cards. Does not accept cash or visa cards. There is a big chance you will not end up with the car you paid for!

Charged for pre-existing “damage”
While the car and service upon pickup were fine, when I returned the car, the Europcar representative identified “damage” on the door that I was then charged for. I absolutely did not cause this damage. The “damage” was a dent on the drivers side door that was so small that I didn’t notice it for the entirety of the week when I had the car. Moreover, it was damage that was so unrecognizable that neither I nor the attendant at pick-up noticed. It was absolutely already there and almost certainly won’t be fixed because it is so superficial. While I did protest, there was basically nothing I could do as the Europcar representative insisted that I was responsible and I needed him to drive me on the shuttle to the airport so I could make my flight. So, I was made to pay an additional EUR 181 for something that was not my fault. (Upon closer inspection of my final receipt I also see a EUR 145 charge for damages that weren’t explained to me.)
To make matters worse, I returned the car at the same time as a friend with whom I was traveling returned his car and he experienced the exact same thing - a charge for a very small “scratch” he did not make.
It was an unfortunate end to an otherwise lovely trip to Paros.
Very efficient service
Very efficient service. Very helpful when we collected the car which was ready and waiting for us. The vehicle was quite new and in very good condition - the interior was exceptionally clean - unlike the vehicles we have previously hired from larger companies! Handing the car back was very quick and simple and again their staff organising the drop off were very cheerful and efficient.

Despite the lengthy wait at the desk
Despite the lengthy wait at the desk, compared to all rental agencies, I was impressed by the patience of the employees and their pleasant attitude. Despite looking tired, young people smiled at the customer. We were welcomed to Athens and wished a pleasant stay. It was a beautiful and kind approach, which helped my family forget the waiting and fatigue of the trip and look forward to the famous hospitality of Greece. Well done, congratulations!

Horrible experience with airport staff…
Horrible experience with airport staff and no staff at the parking. We finally found the car, took pictures of the damage. The parking attendant ran to us as we were leaving the parking.
At the Europcar desk in the airport, Alexandra was too busy on her phone to take care of us, only customer.
Europcar in Thessaloniki has always been a good experience, I will never use Europcar at Athens airport anymore.

No desk at airport arrival!
Rental stated that Eurpcar were based at the airport however we found this not to be the case.
No clear sign post to the shuttle bus to the depot either and had to flag down a van from the depot to take us there. Not ideal in the dark!
However, the check in experience once we arrived was easy and efficient.

I didn’t like that there were extra cost when you leave the car outside the opening hours. There weren’t any information about that when I booked, I can’t decide if my plane is leaving 5 am or 8 am. Didn’t like that extra cost. Because when I choose the hours online and booked the price was different

Station Europcar Greece Heraklion Airport. Shuttle Service to rental station near airport about 3 min driving. Receiving car was lasting about an hour due to heavy customer onrush. Returning car was very fast fifteen minutes. All in all a good service without any issues.

This war the worst experience ever…
This war the worst experience i ever had with a car rental. I do it very often and in many countries but here the service is extremely bad. I actually never leave bad comments but this time I had to.
They don’t check the car damages in a good way during the night when you pick up the car, they invent damages when you return the car and make you pay for it!
Please avoid if you don’t want troubles…
