Avoid this recruiter

Unfortunately I applied for a position advertised by this "recruiter" on LinkedIn. When Steven Karp contacted me in response to my application, I told him that I live in Somerset and despite knowing that his client wanted someone close to London, he continued engaging with me to the point that he told me the day before my interview, that I should lie to the client about where I am based as it will otherwise go down like a lead balloon should I share my actual location. It was at this point that I emailed the client directly and told him what Steven was suggesting I do and in response, the client thanked me for my honesty and cancelled the interview. Steven tried contacting me and of course I ignored his calls and emails because at this point I wanted nothing more to do with him. He then contacted LinkedIn and told them that I lied about where I was located. They in turn froze my account and investigated the matter. They found that my profile never had location details recorded and as it wasn't a mandatory field, made my account active again. I hope you can see what kind of person this Steven Karp is and that you should avoid any interaction with him. The other reviews on here for him is correct - he is only interested in the money he can make off you even if it means putting you in a precarious position with your potential future employer.
