Flawless family ski holiday. Staff were superb and everything ran like clockwork. Esprit Ski will be greatly missed but will travel with their sister company Inghams in the future.

We have done Esprit five times.
It's strength is the childcare. Our kids have an excellent time , the way they join up the ski hire and lessons and supervised lunch and coco clubs with enthusiasm from all their team is great.
From an adult point of view it is not what I would call a deluxe experience in terms of accommodation and food, but it is a good one. And excellent for toddlers and primary school age kids which is what it's all about.
We have stayed in Meribel, Courchevel, Belle Plagne and Les Gets and will go with Esprit again
We felt nervous about our first snow holiday with our 16 month old daughter and how she would get on at nursery for the week. After reading reviews we decided to go for it and spent a week at hotel mariandre at Alpe D’Huez. It was a fantastic week. All the staff were lovely and made you feel so welcome. Our daughter got on great in nursery and the child care staff were brilliant. It was nice to hear they had taken the little ones out every day rather than staying in the nursery room all week. The little extras of the afternoon tea and canapés before dinner were fantastic and made the value of the holiday very comparable to companies used previously pre baby. All in all I would highly recommend esprit for a family skiing holiday. If the standards of the other chalets are anything like that of hotel mariandre we would be very happy. In fact we came home with a brochure for next year and are just debating where to try next.
A fantastic holiday in every respect - couldn’t improve on it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first family ski holiday with Esprit last week. I’m glad we met people who had been before as they gave us lots of extra info that was really helpful and would have been better to receive in a written format from the hotel itself, as the welcome meeting was difficult to hear and take the info in. Staff were very friendly and did as much as they could to help but couldn’t help but feel there isn’t enough time in the day to do the ‘house-keeping’ to a level I’d expect of a hotel of its rating. But overall a very good family holiday and we will book again.
Great holiday with Esprit, kids didn’t want to come home. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was good, better than the smaller chalets. Hotel chalet mariandre is good for meeting other families and it’s good having childcare etc on site. Negatives are the hotel is a bit tired and shabby; the communal areas were cold at times and the process of getting in and out of the hotel to ski is not ideal as boots and skis are stored separately (!). Otherwise good sized room, comfy beds and plenty of hot water. Would recommend.
Amazing chalet with the best toddler program going . The team were great with my kids with us, regular contact with the rep and always a friendly welcome from the host.
If I could change anything it would be a better ventilated kitchen to avoid the cooking smells going into every room and I thought the quality of cooking could do with being a little btter Given the cost of the holiday. Overall I’d love to go back .
We stayed in one of the Le chaumiere chalets in les gets. We had a fantastic holiday from start to finish.
The kids loved the snow club and ski school lessons. Food was fantastic - couldn’t fault it.
Fab chalet hosts who couldn’t do more for us.
Les Gets is a perfect family resort.
The chalet is a 15 minute walk from the slopes which can be difficult for little ones, but when they are in snow club they have a mini bus to drive them to the mountain.
The hot tub went down very well as an after ski relaxation. There is only one so would be better if there was another one as can get quite busy with 4 chalets sharing.
Would highly recommend this resort and esprit. We are already looking at booking next year!
Just got back from Courchevel 1850 having stayed at the Hotel Crystal 2000 which couldn’t be in a better position, 10ft from the piste to the boot room. Great staff to look after our 3 year old who had ski lessons for the first time and loved it! Food this year was excellent having been our only gripe from last year, will be booking again for sure. 3 Valleys is a great place to ski with well groomed pistes everyday!!! Perfect for all levels, enjoy your holiday.
We stayed at the dues domaines in La Plagne here last year in the same room and rebooked immediately after. This year was just not as good as before. Perhaps last year was just exceptional. However the organisation at the hotel was not as polished. Hot food options ran out quickly in the morning. Finding a coffee cup was a daily mission.
The room itself had quite a few faults, one of the curtains was on backwards!
We understand that problems with the spa will occur but both out door hot tubs where out of action and the indoor one the jets didn’t work. The pool was also closed twice. These things in isolation could be seen as just unlucky. All occurring at the same time seems to suggest a lack of maintenance.
Ultkmataly this is their top property and taking that into account this just wasn’t where it needed to be.
Our first family ski holiday and we couldnt fault a thing! Booked again the day we got home.
Went to Gressoney in italy with our 4 YO. Hotel was very tired and food could have been better. Staff were amazing and really made the holiday!
The only stressful and disappointing element was the equipment hire! The staff in the shop were awful and Ill-mannered. A fact acknowledged in the welcome speech by the Esprit Rep. They only allowed you to try one boot. I had a significant bruise as a result and had to change the boots so they were 2 sizes bigger - and that was before I even got to a ski lift. I bought my own in the end. Then one of the ski bindings snapped clean off part way down a slope on my husband's skis. We were on the piste and he hadn't fallen at the time. Really disappointing as the whole point of a ski holiday is to ski! There are other hire companies and if we go to the same resort again we wouldn't book skis from david sport through esprit.
Our holiday at Chalet Charline was fantastic.
Our hosts were great cooks and made us very welcome in the chalet. The snow rangers were real characters and the children really enjoyed their ski lessons too with Evolution 2.
The resort was fabulous for non skiers too with a sports centre, swimming pool and a vast area for walking and running on the frozen lake.
Ok, just came back from Tignes with esprit Ski. To sum up probably the best skiing holiday you could ever wish for!!
They are a childcare company first and a skiing specialist second. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you, any issues they take off your hands and resolved.
Its the quality of care and time they invest in your children that makes it work so well. 7 years ago I took my 5 year old to a resort in France, the instructors lined them up like penguins and my son cried and cried to the extent I didn't have the heart to leave him. Therefore I couldn't ski and spent all week helping him. It was a horrid holiday for all!!
This time I took my six year old and im a single Dad! He has never skied! By the end of the first day he was jumping up and down with excitement, knew the names of the carers and ski instructors, was telling me about the games they played and in the evening the Esprit staff turned up at the Chalet and sat outside his bedroom door to make sure he slept soundly while I had a glass of wine and dinner!!! TOP THAT!
I cannot fault Esprit and will book all future winter holidays with them. Thank you for making a daunting holiday special.
Excellent holiday
The staff were superb, always smiling and happy to help.
Childcare is second to none I never worry about leaving the kids...
Would have been 5 stars if the quality of the ski hire had been better, I paid for Red grade ski which should have only been a year old..... The pair I got looked like they had been around the block several thousand times.
Will be back next year, hopefully to some ski's that don't look like they have been run over with a piste basher.....
Good family holiday. Enjoyed by all. We will be back.
A lovely week in La Rosiere at the Chalet Schatzi, it's in a great, convenient location, all the childcare facilities are well set up and very accessible and you're right on the piste.
The Chalet had loads of space and big rooms perfect for families, the hosts were very good and the food and wine excellent.
The childcare team were brilliant, so enthusiastic and encouraging, and it made our holiday to have happy children and be able to confidently leave them and ski for the day.
I would highly recommend it and would go back (next week please!!)
If you're travelling with kids you want everything thought of and taken care of, and these guys have done it.
Yes there are a few mistakes, which can't be helped given the staff are mostly in their 20s on a season away from home for the first time, so they can be easily overlooked.
We've been away with Esprit for the past three years and will be booking again soon.
It's expensive tho! But it's either that or opt for less. If you can afford it, dont hesitate.
Great Holiday. The Esprit staff are fantastic with the kids!
Fabulous, well organised group of young people. great service and services. Been 3 years in a row with Esprit and will be going back next year!
