Oh my goodness - what a pain in the ass to deal with.
They take a day to review any document and won't tell you what they are in a lump - it's "today we need a photo of your ID" (one day wait) "Thank you, today we need a picture of your cat's litter box" (one day wait).
We are on day 7 or 8 of a simple $800 transaction and they are currently "Reviewing the Payment"
They have received the payment. The payment is all posted. They have asked for additional documents from both parties. Then more. Now... they are ... what? I have no flipping clue.
Their web site says 1-20 days. Probably honest. Closer to 20, I'd guess.
Never again.

Escrow wants to know what to fix in MY case. Pfft. Fix this for ALL cases, Escrow. Look at your process, not my case. The endless train if mystery documents...
They make money off of the interest of the EVERAGE daily balance in their account (a float) - so the longer they can tie up customer's money, the larger the average daily balance, the more profit without any work Escrow is actually DE-MOTIVATED to fix the systemic problems. There is no incentive to actually streamline the process.
Help me by listing all of the documents you will need given a transaction type and value on your web site.

I recently sold my business assets through Escrow.com and had a good experience. The platform gave me peace of mind by handling the transaction securely. Their customer service team was excellent, always polite, responsive, and quick to assist whenever I had questions. While the process of reviewing agreements took a little longer than expected, the overall support and smooth handling of the sale more than made up for it. I highly recommend Escrow.com to anyone looking for a safe and reliable way to manage significant transactions.

When you’re working with an eager buyer and a cautious seller, having a trustworthy escrow service is essential, but having an account manager who understands the nuances of different personalities is what truly makes the difference. Valentina Rivera at Escrow.com is exactly that. She navigates every interaction with professionalism, empathy, and skill, ensuring both sides feel confident and satisfied by the end.

SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS - DO NOT USE DO NOT BELIEVE ANY REVIEWS. Please, never use this company. While they seem appealing in their reviews, actually resolving any issue with this company is next to impossible. Complete lack of integrity, professionalism, customer service, knowledgeable information. I was only allowed to email one email address and only contact 1 customer service phone number. Payment was delayed to the seller by over a week. Title was sent to an incorrect address and tracking information was not provided until 1 week after title was delivered to incorrect address. Company does not respond to phone calls or emails.

There are a lot of steps during the transaction flow that are not disclosed on their public flow description page. So if you expect a transaction to be completed in x days... it will not be. Neede many ema with support but at the end they confirmed payment (cannot see it on thir site yet)

SCAM ALERT: This business is a complete SCAM.
I initiated an escrow transaction on Escrow.com for the purchase of a business. The funds were transferred promptly, and Escrow.com accepted and held the money for nearly a week without raising any issues. Six days later, I received a notice from Escrow.com stating that they were cancelling the transaction and would issue a refund. Their reasoning was that the transaction involved real estate located in a state that is not supported by their platform for real estate services. This reasoning is factually incorrect. The transaction does not involve the sale of any real estate — it is the sale of a business that operates within a leased commercial space (which can be confirmed by the sale contract that was provided to escrow.com, a signed lease with the owner and property records). Furthermore, the business is located in New Jersey, which is listed on Escrow.com’s own website as a supported state. Escrow.com also claimed that the seller had confirmed the inclusion of real estate in the transaction. This is false — the only information requested by Escrow.com was the address where the business operates, which the seller provided. At no point did the seller state that the real estate was being sold and the seller has sent them several emails and called stating the same.
Escrow.com held a large sum of money for several business days before suddenly cancelling the transaction without prior warning, and providing no specific timeline for the refund. In fact their website doesn't even list that the transaction was cancelled, it lists as under review.
This has caused serious disruption and uncertainty because they did this 8pm the day before the closing making me unable to close. When I called they claimed they would refund the money (no timeline provided still), but not the fees. As they cancelled for a completely bogus reason, it does not make sense to hold the fees. At a minimum this was a scam to steal the money for the fees. From the first day when we signed up for the service they have known where the business was located, where I and the seller was located, and have had the sales contract stating that there is a lease in place. It does not make sense that a decision was made so long after and for a reason that does not exist.
I am still out of several thousand of dollars that was in escrow as the refund has not showed up, the fees paid to escrow.com and with a closed business/cancelled appointments because of them. Every time I or the seller contact them, they want another 24h to respond, but no resolution is actually provided. I have initiated complaints in several financial regulators and will be going after them for the money lost. I highly discourage anyone from using this company so you don't have to go through the trouble I have been having to go through.

Giant pain especially for the price. I recommend dealing with a bank or anything other than these clowns. All they did was waste my time and the buyers time. I will never use a service like this again.

So frustrating trying to use your company for a sale between two private individuals. I have had to make multiple phone calls to clarify what you want and days after initiating the original order it’s still not completed. I will never use your service again and will not recommend you to anyone!

Excessive use of unhelpful AI.
This is obvious in your emails and over the phone.
Conflicting email requests from me.
No consideration for int'l users.
Answers to my queries are limited by packaged unhelpful general replies.
A process that should've taken 3 days is approaching one month.
I am asked to transfer $8k+ then asked to go back to verification of address.
In short, very confusing, disconcerting, and frustrating.
