Do not use this company!!

After purchasing an item from erisin through eBay using PayPal I was advised I would b fully protected against the item being faulty or not turning up. How wrong could the advisor be!

I've had nothing but trouble since I ordered the item.
Problems started the week after the parcel was delivered.
The memory card seemed to have an old software on, the unit continually kept freezing. It took me a long time to get a response through email. They then sent me a replacement memory card which seemed to work ok, other than the unit being slow and refreshing its self every so often.

5 months after purchase the stereo came up with an error message, at first intermittent, but after a week it wouldn't switch on. I contacted the company again to have no reply after several emails.

6 month mark the company finally replied after pretending I was a potential customer intrested in buying an item from them.
I was then told to send the item back recorded delivery and would be refunded the delivery cost. To late be told that I wouldn't not receive my full refund due to depreciation of how long I have had the item for (even though it didn't work) or I would have to pay £59 to have a new one sent to me. I would also not be getting a refund on the delivery cost that I was originally told I would be.

I can't stress enough how bad this company is.
Bad communication, the bribery, don't read your messages resulting in taking double the time to get an answer, money grabbing, no customer service.

I would love to know how they wake up in a morning knowing they are getting money off customers for cheap and faulty stock. Then to get more money as nothing is their fault!!
ABSOLUTLY AWFUL!

Whatever you do.. dont use these guys

Sure, cheap and easy.
Get a problem - They'll tell you to perform an update, to only find it downgrades the unit, and removes all features. Then to never hear from them again.
I cant stress enough - GO ELSE WHERE! dont use these guys, its a waste of money and time.

DONT EVEN BOTHER

Nothing but hassle trying to get these Radio/satnav units working.
Maps were sent eventually but it was just one problem after another.

They should work out of the box ffs.

eventually all ok took 3 months.
So bought another for another car, no audio doesn't work at all, they wont pay postage to send it back. Already paid postage to have it sent here, why should I have to pay £12.50 to send faulty goods back.

GOOD TIP BUY ELSEWHERE

liars, tey ask me to pay 108€ for an item still warranty

i bought a ES7050G car dvd gps, and it's has been faulty before the first year, the screen become green. impossible to listening music or to use the sat nav. they ask me to update the system but it didn't change anything, then they ask me to send it back (i paid for the cost of delivery) "michel" from erisin said "no worries we will compensate you for the cost of delivery" and "no worries ours items are fully warranty" bla bla bla. LIARS, now, they ask me to pay 108€ if i want a new one because it's not reparable. I've spend so much time and nerves sending emails (answers weeks later), i think that the way this company works, as soon they have your money they don't care. Not honest at all.

ERISIN: Good ideas, no quality, no support as a matter of fact they don't even reply to you.

Their products belong to the category "Good ideas but don't have the know-how".

Very poor components are used to put together these units that have become known to last no longer that 2 years and cause a potential fire hazard in your car after long drives due to overheating and components inside just frying to death.

They just cannot do any better!

Youtube is full of videos of people demonstrating these units failing.
Here's some of the flaws:

1) You cannot watch Youtube video.

2) The DVD and USB reader will tell you not to watch video, instead of playing music, unless you connect the pink cable to the ground of your car.

3) The IGo Navigation software cannot be updated.

4) You cannot connect the steering wheel radio remote to Erisin units

5) It takes a long time for the miniSD reader (up to 8GB only) to read out the contents of a card.

6) When running an internet radio station on the pad and you turn off the car, the pad shuts down and it takes forever to come back on.

7) The Pad does not have Bluetooth, so you cannot read out your Bluetooth OBD II Bluetooth device on an OBD II app.

8) Connecting your smartphone to the USB connection of the device will not read out the media files on your phone and will just stop altogether. It will not charge the phone either.

9) The display is impossible to read in sunshine.

10) The display scratches quite easily as you do have to select with a harder device like your fingernails.

11) Customer support will remove your mail when you find a problem with the device, they just don't want to talk to you and instead tell you your message contained a virus...

12) After a long drive the unit is so hot that you can not touch it without burning yourself

Erisin looks more like a Chinese scheme to collect foreign currency than a serious electronics company to me.

I would never, ever buy again from them.

P.S.: It is probably easier communicating with extra-terrestrials than with Erisin customer support.

Do not buy their stereos.

I purchased 2 Erisin 1158CU stereo/ gps/dvd/cd/tv players and are both rubbish, appeared good to start thats why i had another.
I left a review and it has strangely disappeared so i am leaving another, i will keep doing so all of the time that some one keeps wiping them out . The company is absolutely a waste of time, if you buy their rubbish all you will ever hear is gps is disconnected, they tell you that it should be fitted by a professional so i took it and had it fitted by a professional with an added reversing camera at a cost of £290 for fitting. The company is at best not very helpful, if you push them they will say to send it back and have a refund, not mentioning the money spent on a camera and fitting.
The gps card packed up and i finally got another which is still cutting out,
the replys are "do not worry we will help to fix it" but what they are doing to help fix it i do not know.
I would like to get everyone of these stereo's and you can imagine where they would go!!!!!.
No reply for them now, stereo no good.
Please dont waste your money on this RUBBISH

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS 'COMPANY'

I spent £300 to buy a Car stereo with SatNav from these cowboys on ebay. Everything work fantastic for about 1 month, then all of a sudden the GPS failed. when I contacted them I was then led on a 2 month wild goose chase as they pretended to help me fault find and rectify the problem. This didn't get anywhere and when I asked for a replacement under warranty they then ignored all my future emails.
I was left with a brick of a stereo in my car that does nothing more than the cheap factory unit did and a huge hole in my pocket.
Another problem I then suffered was a faulty RCA cable (to connect to any output including Sub, amp or camera.
Surprise Surprise, They don't sell spare parts so I would have to spend money on a complete new unit.
DO NOT waste you time with this company. Their customer service is fantastic until they get your money but once things go wrong (and they will) they can ignore you because they are on the other side of the world where the law can't touch them.
And If you're still unsure, do a quick internet search of erisin reviews on the internet and you find what i've written is just a small part of the problems that people have had from this company.

Value for money

GPS works very well, located arial high in the roof. DVD player plays well. Bluetooth works well for the phone and music. Aux iPod doc good. Screen clear. I have wired an additional screen and reversing camera. Both good image. When I had a question they replied with correct answer and supporting pictures.
Downside, radio reception not 100% yet but looking to boost signal or fit a better arial. No fiat logo on car logos!!!
All this for £147.00 My unit came from UK warehouse do returns would not be a concern.

If only I could award 0 stars

My advice.. Don't buy from Erisin,I bought the ES779A unit a few months ago and when I installed it there was a fault with the sd card slot(not a big problem except this is where the sat nav maps are stored) after more than 20 emails back and forth between me and Rich Huang (customer support) they finally agreed to replace the pad at my expense for P&P(not a big problem)he also told me to write a value of €35 on the parcel or else he would not sign for it when it arrived in China (scary)anyway I sent it and it arrived in china, for over a week it sat in a post office awaiting collection as he wouldn't sign for it, after another 10 emails from me he finally collected it and informed me that the unit was damaged and they would send me out a new pad, a few days passed by and they sent me my tracking info, then the unit got stopped from leaving China as it was deemed a "hazardous material".

I was then informed that once Erisin received it back from Fedex they would send it back to me via DHL, again I waited for another week to pass until I finally received an email with my new tracking details, another few days passed and once it entered my country.I was informed by DHL that I would have to pay VAT of 23% on the replacement pad and that I had to supply them with receipts to prove how much it cost so I rang and told them it was a replacement and that the last one was faulty, they asked me for tracking info for my return which I emailed to them and supplied as much info on my purchase and emails from Erisin to prove it was a return.

Then one day when I was at work DHL delivered the pad to my home address.Great! I thought, finally the nightmare is over but when I connected the replacement pad to the head unit and tried to watch digital tv the screen would just go blank and reset (this didn't happen with the first one) I could hear the audio of the tv channel but no picture, just the car logo screen appeared.then when I pressed the AUX button (which I have my sg2 phone connected too) the audio came through but none of the functions like bass, treble, mid, fade worked. Then I tried the Sat Nav and to my surprise the sd card which has the sat nav maps on it wasn't even in the pad, Erisin had not included it with my replacement. Then a few days later I received a letter for DHL for €80 for the VAT that customs were looking for off me, once again another few days passed and I received another letter this time from Fedex for VAT that I was supposed to pay for when Erisin collected my return.

Once again I emailed Erisin and described the problems and asked for a partial refund, 3 days later I received an email saying to record a video of the problems I had with the unit and send it to them (giving me the run around once more) I haven't done this yet as I'm starting to give up on trying to solve this problem as I see no solution to this, even if they say they'll replace it, I'll probably have to pay more VAT on the replacement and of course I cant get a refund or even a partial refund as Erisin don't do refunds(have a look at there terms and conditions)Then to top it all off just the other day I started up the car and the colour's on the screen went all weird and have stayed that way ever since (red's are greens etc)these units are extremely badly made and I strongly advise you to buy something with a good name like sony, pioneer or JVC.Even if it works straight out of the box I doubt it'll work that way for very long (for your sake I hope it does) I'll be removing mine soon and getting a Pioneer.

I've learned my lesson to buy good quality products and not the cheap stuff that promise all these functions at a fraction of the price(I hate sayings but if it sounds to good to be true it probably is)So that's it! hope this helps someone, I wish I had read more reviews before I decided to buy one, would have saved me a lot of trouble.

Hardware failures, bad signal reception for radio/gps/tv and even a overheating parts are only a few of the problems you will have when using their units. Sadly after 3 months still no solution by Erisin. Please save your money. Dont buy this :-(
