Eon WhatsApp service

Tried to make a simple enquiry as the gas meter in a new build was not communicating with the supplied smart meter or Eon. Both gas and electric provided by Eon and the electric meter was communicating correctly.
The number given led to a continuous loop of WhatsApp texts.

After 6 rounds of this- in the same WhatsApp chat I gave up. Now looking for an energy company that actually take service seriously

Awful company

Awful company. They bombard me with emails and texts about smart meters when I’ve said countless times I don’t want one.
Every time they send a reminder to read the meters I send the information, only THEN do they prompt me to login. When I attempt login it starts to glitch EVERY TIME.
Will be switching as a matter of urgency.

EON charging us £14k

EON have sent you us an invoice for over £14k they said it was a glitch in the system and now we need to pay it. Invoices were not sent out or DD taken. We simply do not have the funds as they are claiming we pay back over £2500 a month. I've been pleading with them and they have basically refused any help (Adam) and said its tough!!! Bar in Worcester
A truly despicable company

Worse than mobsters. Will do what they want and won't deal with your concern. They never do their part, which is to make sure houses are energy efficient!
I have even made a community group on Facebook regarding this abysmal company.

DISGUSTING

80 year old parents were persuaded to have smart meter fitted by Eon 🤣🤣 what a joke, Engineer spent most time outside and on phone as he couldn’t connect gas and needed a senior engineer to do it, and caused them to have a power cut overnight until around 10.00am following morning, moms on insulin, so it had to be destroyed, she only came out of hospital with Phenumonia a week before, so no heating on, no back up from Eon and on contacting them about power off, reply was they will be will you as soon as !!!!! Sandwell council came out as it’s their property and had to put everything right, we have had both Gas and Electricity tests on property by Council EON now are saying it’s either my parents or councils fault, keep being fobbed off I’ve made official complaint and want smart meter removed from property as dad will not leave things plugged in now as he’s frightened plus they have had 2 estimated bills come for Electricity and 2 bills for gas mounting to nearly 300.00 pound WHAT A JOKE. AND I HOPE THIS IS BEING READ BY EON KINGSWINFORD ,, JASMINE I’ve WAITED LONG ENOUGH FOR YOU TO RING ME BACK DO NOT BOTHER I’VE REQUESTED A MANAGER BUT GOD KNOWS WHEN THAT WILL BE
WE WILL BE SWITCHING AS SOON AS THIS MESS IS CLEARED UP, I HATE TO THINK HOW EON TREAT VUNERABLE PEOPLE WITH NO ONE TO STAND UP FOR THEM 😢
Then to top it all off, I’ve rang today again to speak to Jasmine 22/1/25 and receptionist has said “you rang in yesterday to set up a payment plan “🤣🤣🤣🤣 yeah right 😢

Would give 0 stars if I could

Would give 0 stars if I could. I had an outstanding debt with e.on of £300 when I switched back in 2021 to octopus energy. E.on within a month sent this to CES who came to my door with bailiffs charging me £1200 after me advising I am a single parent and would only be able to set up a payment plan with CES to pay £30 a month. I’ve recently looked into bailiff charges and it’s come to my knowledge that bailiffs can only charge 7.1% on debts over £1000. I called CES who advised me that E.on sent them a debt to recover of £900 !!!! Where has this additional £600 come from!? i am utterly disgusted and have been trying to email with E.on to have this resolved and get some of my money back but conveniently they don’t have my files on their records anymore. I’m now having to go down the route of contacting citizens advice and other legal parties to try and get this resolved as they are not helping me at all or acknowledging any of my emails giving me repetitive answers about not having the information on there records. Disgusting company. Do NOT trust these people.

Repeatedly dozens of times

Repeatedly dozens of times, e-mailing me, texting me, calling me with a multitude iof different reasons why I urgently need a Smart Meter. I could list the different reasons, they have quoted, going back on them in every case, when the reason proved to be an outright LIE!!! DO NOT TRUST!!! Smart meters are not compulsory and it is up to you whether you get one installed. You will likely be offered one by your supplier if you don't already have one, but you are well within your right to refuse.

Eon.ge has stolen my identity

Eon.ge used to be such a nice educational and information resource. But things have changed dramatically since 2021. The owner and administration have been changed and they started misusing/stealing the identity of their contributors.
That's also my experience. I used to be contributing materials to this website until 2021. However to my great disappointment I have discovered a fake news piece/article uploaded with my username in 2022. On top of that, they have uploaded a pirated version of a book also using my online identity.
I did my best to report this to site adiministration, but all in vain. They have deleted contact section. So all I could do is write my complaint and demand to have my name removed from fake and pirated materials through comments'section. Still no reaction.

I have had many queries over the time I have been with Eon and have found the customer excellent. When I moved property I compared prices of different energy company’s and eon came second by a small margin I decided to stick with eon due to the easy communication methods they have in place and that queries are answered efficiently. I’ve been with Eon for many years and feel they deserve credit. They have also in the past supported me when I faced unexpected financial difficulties. I would recommend this company.

The worst company ever

The worst company ever, consistently sending me over charged bills. Then refund me only to over charge me again. They have been investigating my account for over a year and still haven’t found a solution. Will be contacting the financial ombudsman tomorrow.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would! I was with them 12 years ago and they were awful then. Moved into a new home last year and they were the energy supplier, thought I’d give them a chance and wow what a mistake! Sent my bill late so they ultimately sent me 2 bills within 2 weeks of over £300 each! I have had an ongoing complaint with them ever since, nothing resolved despite them admitting their fault which led me into arrears as I am a single parent and unable to magic up over £600 in 2 weeks. Hound me if I don’t reply to an email within a day but then don’t reply to me for weeks at a time. It’s been 2 weeks since I last heard from then and now I’ve had a threatening letter that they will put a default on my credit report! The worst company I’ve ever dealt with and shows this is a standard behaviour from them. Their ‘customer service’ is absolute joke! Don’t ever use

Good & Regular Payer Hounded

Circa the 7th of the month, I receive by post my E-ON bill dated 29 of the pervious month. I always pay by bank transfer soon after.
Example: 29 July 2024 bill received 7th August 2024 and paid by bank transfer on 7th August.
However, on 31 July 2024, I received an email stating that I was overdue and should pay up by clicking link on email. [Scam?]
The same day, my son received a text from E-ON with the same request; as to how E-ON obtained my son's mobile number?! [Scam?]
Today, 9 Aug, I received by post a letter dated 3 Aug with the same request and the threat of reporting me to credit reference agency.
The only reply I have received from E-ON is basically rubbish!

3 attempts to convert my gas meter to…

3 attempts to convert my gas meter to smart unsuccessfull, leading to a lit of stress and loss of earnings due yo taking time off work, still not resolved having to wait at least 5 weeks before next attempt which is shocking considering they damaged it, unable to get meter readings, not used gas but the cheek of EON are now wanting me to pay direct debits as they cannot rectify there own damage to my meter, complaint raised over 8 weeks ago has STILL not been resolved. Do not touch EON with a bargepole they are shocking and incompetent.
