I do not recommend eon

I do not recommend eon. All my payment history when i sign in online have been wiped and changed because they wanted to recalulate at the end of year. Now having to look thou all payments to track what iv paid and how much energy has been used 🤬

The last two months we have been charged over 3 times our normal payments. Costomer service was polite but they felt like didnt care and didnt explain much they just said they would call back once had looked at the account and they keep pushing a smart meter on us when iv told them i plan on switching energy providers asap.

i finally came here to see if it was just me that was getting tired of this company and how they handling my energy and saw all these negitive reviews with alot of people talking about similar problems. I advise avoid this company. I will be leaving them asap

A lady at E.ON

A lady at E.ON, Annette gave me tremendous help whist I was selling a property, and which would be being left vacant for a period of time whilst a sale was affected. In an efficient and pleasant manner, she guided me through the necessary actions. The sale took longer than envisaged but Annette kept abreast of the situation and continued to be a guiding light.
Always calm, pleasant, and helpful, she offered an unstinting guide.
Top marks also to the company E.ON UK for the fair way they carried out the necessary adjustments.

I called eon today as my friend told me…

I called eon today as my friend told me she had trouble with her meter. When she was putting the card into her prepayment meter there was water residue on the card. (The meter is situated outside) plus rained the night before. When I spoke to eon they said that it wasn’t there job to come out as the meter as water inside and that we must contact a plumber 🤯 yes a PLUMBER!!! So I asked do u think the rain flooded the meter? He said that we need to call a plumber to stop the rain getting in. Basically there was no getting through to this person so I asked to speak with the manager.

He was literally no help he also said get a plumber. All we needed was them so send out an engineer to change the meter. The card we were using wasn’t being recognised by the meter but the screen would show emergency available so rain hadn’t done anything to the screen. Anyways getting frustrated on the phone call which was hard enough to get a number to actually call someone to speak to also was trying to call from 11am til 237pm Sunday when I ended up calling again to speak to someone else. Who then said we have to wait 4 hours for someone to come out. I can’t believe how they treated us on the call you can’t understand the people they have on customer service also the manager was as bad. I explained that we have a baby in the household in which I left my Car running for him to get warm. It was so disgusting what happened to the customer being right? Also my friend called a plumber to prove a point and got charged £80 call out fee. I’ve told her now to get a refund off eon as they are the ones who was ment to fix it so charge them for the bill. (The plumber said that’s not a job for him and it’s the energy company that need to sort out a new meter) we contacted national grid they also said eon need to sort it as she is a customer of theirs. After hours of waiting they turned up 4.52 pm and said she has to have a smart meter now as they don’t do prepayment meters. Another way of them to steal your money but i will leave that for another review.
My friend said after what happened today she will definitely be changing energy company. I really do question how they are still in business and just be careful if u have young kids or anyone vulnerable in your household they will leave you without heating and unable to cook.
Wouldn’t ever recommend this company to anyone after this.

Shocking company

I joined EON three years ago from British Gas , this was the worst mistake I ever made. They put my direct debit payment upto £800 a month for energy without my consent, even though I have never used more than £450 in a single month. I asked for some of my credit back (£1200 at one point) on many occasions, which I was told would take 10 days, this happened once, even though I requested credit back on 10 different occasions. The amount of times I’ve been ignored or lied to is shocking. I’m convinced there will be a future claims scandal with this company. The bills are confusing and make little sense. The app tells you very little and is totally out of date, I still get told to do meter readings on a SMART METER. I’ve never dealt with such a shower of 💩in my life. I’ve just swapped to another supplier which seem really good. But for the love of god, don’t go with EON

E.ON Next payment harassment call on a 24 hour old bill !

My wife was phoned by E.ON Next demanding immediate payment of our combined fuel bill despite only having the bill for 24 hours !
The woman aggressively demanded that my wife give her the debit card number and pay over the phone and pay immediately and stated that we were in arrears, which we were no an never have been.
My wife refused this out right extortion and even thought it might be a scammer.
She hung up and rang E.ON to check if the call was from them and was told it was. She asked why they had aggressively phoned and harassed her and they said that they had only just issued the bill.
This seems to be a ploy to intimidate and try and force direct debit.
Our new name for E.ON Next = ExtortiON

Again they send an email to which I…

Again they send an email to which I can't reply
And again they harras me making phone calls everyday at 9Am and 3 calls from them today

They know I am disabled and deaf and even apologised yesterday

But as we all know there promises mean nothing

They seem to harras people in the hope they will give up and pay

I told them today ,they are trying the same trick on me as they did5 years ago by threats of debt collectors

I informed them they tried it on me 5 years ago,and the debt collectors told EON it was uncollectible and even apologised to me for causing me stress
and harassment and it would not go on my credit file

Estimated Bills and the Law

If you should receive one.

Contact the Company and send in a meter reading, (Preferably a phote along with an email)

You need to do that because EONNEXT stated to me
That I never sent any meter readings, but as most of us seem to say that EON claim to have never got them.

This just goes to more or less prove EONNEXT don't seem to know what they are doing because they sent a bill to the Occupier of my former property of which I left on 02/05/23 saying Customers Reading.
Now 3 Months after they gave me 2 different account numbers and now there are trying to collect the money by changing the number back to the one of my former address ,but still charging me estimated bills to date

I received another one today for another £80 this being 10 weeks after I left

There head office fail to answer mail sent to them ,which means the Magic Money Roundabout keeps going round in circles and getting nowhere.
All that seems to happen is EONNEXT state late fee's will be added

I feel sorry for the old or disabled who just pay to get EONNEXT of there back

It's gone to the Ombudsman and Ofgem now .
So I will send the evedence to them
EONNEXT I hope you get another large fine (double what you paid last time £7 million for poor customer service

What’s the useless app choose another supplier with a good app

What’s the useless app? Ver reactive as data is days old and done not help you manage uses on the actual day. I have reported this many times to Ian and they say their agents are working on it.

Before it was upgraded, you had a daily usage and the total daily usage but since it has been upgraded you have days without data and no daily and no Total current usage you need to add it all up manually, completely useless at managing energy..

Hopeless complaint resolution

Despite having given meter readings and raising a formal complaint well over a year ago I today received a debt collection letter for over £900 for a few weeks liability in an unoccupied house. They seem unwilling to accept photographic and documentary evidence confirming the very brief duration of my liability. I'm not sure if it's gross negligence or stupidity.

The App is useless

The App is useless! Usage data is often showing as No Data or it's down for updates. April 2023 no data on what my direct debit should be so no payment taken up to now. Smart meters only work intermittently and instead of using the government's 6 month fuel grant to top up my Direct Debit pay, they took it off! Thia resulted in all my credit bri g used up. However, on a positive note: if the App performed as it is set up to do, it would be a brilliant tool for supporting your energy management. Something isn't quite right, too many problems usually means, poor programming or not enough trained staff to keep it running smoothly.

Got lumbered with this company when I…

Got lumbered with this company when I moved house omg what a shambles. I had. A pre pay meter which I asked to be removed as I have Rheumatoid and can’t get on the floor to top it up. Contacting them was like trying to talk to the king. Anyway after persevering and getting the ombudsman involved they came and changed it for one I have to get down on the floor to read. Really one that I can’t read for another one that I can’t read, so I contacted them yet again to say I really needed someone to come and read it or or or a smart meter. I haven’t sent a meter reading since December 2022. This has been going on since July 2022. It’s still not resolved so I have had to involve the ombudsman yet again. Absolute load of garbage, do not go with these.

If I could rate them any lower I would

If I could rate them any lower I would. We have received several email notifications over the past 2 weeks ranging from £2000 in credit and -£2000 in debt. All completely random amounts. Not to mention this is only over a 3 month period. We have been on the phone to them several times and each time not a single person knows what the hells going on. All of them saying they will ring back with information and none of them ever doing so. The customer service team are completely incompetent and useless and just plain rude.

Appalling customer service, completely incompetent

If I could figure out how to do minus stars I would. Appalling service. I would be embarrassed to work for them. Incompetent, and unable to provide information. The customer services team would do well to remember that there are people at the other end of these accounts, worrying about their next bill. Would urge anybody to avoid at all costs. Impossible to get through to, repeatedly ignore requests and complaints, passed from pillar to post. Horrendous service.

EON ARE TOTALLY & UTTERLY INCOMPETENT.

Disasterous company. The customer service and level of administration is the worst I have ever come across. Writing to the CEO Mr Michael Lewis, is a waste of time, EON do not have a dedicated CEO complaints team and my last CEO communication at the beginning of Jan 2023 has never been answered. Their complaint handlers are incompetent, have not been trained properly, lack common sense and are unable to resolve matters. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Not possible to contact by phone or by…

Not possible to contact by phone or by email. Took over my Mum's account in February, put it in my name in December. Bill suddenly went from 454 in credit to 690 in debt. The new bill had no reference to any money paid by myself or the government since my mother's demise. The account numbers are different so basically I think I've got someone else's bill.

Omg absolutely horrible company

Omg, what a company. Ccj applied but never received an email. Actually still £3000 in debt, between October and December our bill went from £1000 to £3000 in debit. Not just that, the ccj is for £1550 no idea where they took this amount from.
Spoken to eon, Pakistany girl said she can't discussed. Gave me number to debit agency, they didn't know why it was so high or why has been applied toy name. Not just that, they didn't know what sort of time this applies either. Horrible experience during life crisis and when everything is going up!
