I tried to rent a car in Sevilla
I tried to rent a car in Sevilla, in the Tomares office but was not able to do this since your employees constantly lie and pretend that there are silly conditions to fulfill. I will find the main office address in Spain and see how I can make you understand what your organisation actually does.

Unsafe and illegal vehicle
We picked up a Peugeot 208 from Nîmes airport beginning of September 2025. The following day we looked at the tyres and noticed that the front two tyres were badly worn and possibly illegal. Having checked at a local garage we were told that the tyres were “dead” and that we would endure an on the spot fine if stopped by the police. We contacted Enterprise who directed us to their local approved garage who replaced the two tyres. It took half a day and we were told that we would get a refund of half a day car hire ( 40 euros). We thought this compensation was totally inadequate in view of the serious defect of the car and we requested a 50% refund of the hired charge. Having been in touch with Enterprise in Nîmes we were verbally told that we should get a refund of approximately 190 euros although the total cost of the rental was 597 euros. To this day in spite of phone calls and emailed, no communication or refund have been received. DO NOT USE ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR, ( booked from the UK via Holiday Autos) as you may get a dangerous vehicle!
The service at the airport was awful
The service at the airport was awful. I booked a car online with the help of an enterprise employee. When I arrived at the airport they said they didn’t accept Revolut (never mentioned before). I then tried to change it to my mums name as she did have a different card. They then said the system was blocked so the change could not happen. They did not try to solve my problem and the manager Maria was very smiley saying that the system was blocked and that nothing could be done. Ridiculous and what a way of ruining a families holiday.
SAFETY RISK!
SAFETY RISK!! This branch gave us a car with punctured tyres (noted in the contract but missed at signing) even though we were driving to Scotland. The tyre failed mid-trip, roadside support was useless, and two garages confirmed BOTH tyres were dangerously damaged—they were shocked we’d even made it there. We lost hours of our trip. Scotland branch was fair and advised requesting a refund, but London branch showed ZERO accountability or concern. Extremely disappointed and worried by such negligence. Avoid this branch.
Beware of renting without checking for prior damage.
Do not rent a vehicle from the Enterprise Budapest airport. If you do, get some kind of insurance because they will charge you damage 60-days after the after your drop off, and just charge your credit card out of the blue. I demanded date stamped photos of all damage prior to my rental proving the said damage occurred while the van was in my possession. I emailed several times with NO response regarding the photographic proof. I was sent a photo in the initial email that looked like a smudge and another spot that could not be seen in the photo. It’s obviously a scam towards American travelers to change for so called damage. It was $250 for dirt smudges and there’s no way to prove it 1,000s of miles away. If you must rent, take photos and video with an agent and have the write down all prior damage to save yourself agony.
Criminals and nothing more
Lower than one star. It’s a criminal company that steals money and don’t deliver any service. Don’t have cars and keeping the money. This company isn’t a star they are corrupt and need the vanished of the world.
Worst experience of my life
Worst experience of my life. I reserved a small car, but upon arrival they gave me a 9-seater vehicle instead. They also charged a €200 deposit, which was never refunded to us, without any explanation.
LET DOWN / STRANDED
Let down and left with no car to get home after international flight.
I flew in this morning and needed a car because the original transport fell through- booked a hire car from enterprise- paid - went to collect and they said only people the fly in can hire a car / new policy as of 1/09/25.
Hmm - staggeringly they said it was because there was a gap in the time it took me to arrive and they ‘suspect’ I didn’t come directly from the flight. Wow - didn’t know I was being timed.
Speaking to other renters whoes price had been hike x3 because lack of car availability it seems to me they just wanted to keep cars for the people who were being ripped off.
Anyway - really horrible experience/
Awful experience, kept my deposit!
bad experience. I left feeling scammed.
I booked a Toyota Yaris (or similar), but when I arrived late at night, they handed me a much larger Citroën C4 without asking or giving me a choice. I was told it was the only car available and was made to sign everything before even seeing the car. Not ideal, but I accepted it since it was late and I had already paid.
The next day, the car would not start. I tried everything and then spent four hours calling different Enterprise numbers before anyone gave me an answer. Eventually, they sent someone two hours later. The technician told me this specific model often has a known issue with the steering lock system and that I just had to forcefully turn the wheel — something no one at Enterprise had explained at pickup, and which I could never have guessed on my own.
When I returned the car at the end of the rental, it was in perfect condition (confirmed by their own staff). However, they kept my €200 deposit and charged me an extra €21 claiming it was for “assistance” — even though the issue was due to a known fault in the model, not misuse or damage, and even though I had tried for hours to get help over the phone before they insisted on sending someone. Their staff were rude and dismissive when I protested, and basically told me there was nothing I could do because I hadn’t purchased extra insurance.
So in summary:
• Wrong car, without consent.
• Car broke down less than 24 hours later.
• Hours wasted stranded with no proper support.
• Known vehicle fault blamed on me.
• Deposit kept + extra charges.
• Extremely rude customer service.
Save yourself the hassle and expense - go elsewhere.
Was given a courtesy car by the AA when my car needed repair which was supplied by Enterprise at their Keighley branch...the collection process was rushed and no attempt was made to conduct a joint pre-inspection. Not surprisingly, when I returned the car a couple of days later, to their Bradford (Queens Road) branch - as advised by Enterprise (Keighley), they launched a claim for a damaged wing mirror which I was not responsible for.... Yes, photograph every inch of the car inside and out before taking it away and repeat when you return it..... also insist on signing a hardcopy of the Rental Agreement rather than whatever's presented to you on their tablet because my printed agreement bore NO relation in certain key respects to what I was told I'd be signing on their tablet!!
Or better still - save yourself the hassle and hire from someone else because this outfit's only fit for the gutter.
The most awful car hire company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with - I just don't have the vocabulary to express how truly awful (and callous) this outfit is - absolute rubbish at every level, from the ground up - and the sooner they go bust into oblivion, the better!
THIS BRANCH IS A SCAM
THIS BRANCH OF ENTERPRISE / ALAMO IS A SCAM - we regularly rent cars as we travel often - and we used to try to opt for Enterprise / Alamo - now we will NEVER use them again anywhere in the world. We booked a 7-seater car for our family vacation - and when the car was brought up, the 3rd row seats were missing (only had 5 seats)...so they had to find a replacement car as it was incorrect according to the booking. The replacement car was dirty with 142,000Km and about 3 years old with all kinds of warning lights shown on the dashboard - but we were told that it is safe and there was no alternative, so to save time and the risk of not being able to find an alternative during the peak time, we had to take it. We signed the necessary documents (without being told that we were being charged further) and then a few days later - we discovered on our credit card bill that we were charged for an 'upgrade'!!!!
We immediately reported this to Enterprise / Alamo (4 times via phone and 2 times via their Enterprise website / portal) and no one has responded to us (it has been 3 weeks now). The nice people on the phone will tell you that they agree that this is a mistake and it is incorrect as we originally booked the car which we were given, and that it is NOT an upgrade - they will also promise you that someone will call back from the branch to arrange the refund. BUT NO ONE ever does - THIS IS A SCAM - AVOID this company / branch and save your money and the worry of dealing with such untrustworthy people.
Someone may reply to this review / feedback and ask us to send this enquiry to a website link in their reply - but it goes no where and you will be wasting your time!
BTW - they responded on my Google review and guess what.....the portal they ask to send in your concern and promise to respond - doesn't work and the people eventually lie, hang-up and don't respond. SUCH SCAMMERS!! NEVER USE ENTERPRISE OR ALAMO.
Terrible experience – we don't care attitude
Spain - We had a flat tire around 18:40 in a location with no taxis or public transport nearby. Shockingly, the car had no spare tire and no proper tools to fix it.
Calling customer service was a nightmare – it took over 30 minutes before anyone picked up, and then another 20 minutes after being transferred. Their only solution was to send a tow truck and give us a number to arrange pickup. That number turned out to be invalid.
When we called back (another 30+ minute wait), we were told that was the only number they had and there was nothing more they could do. No help with getting us back on the road, and no proper support in such a stressful situation.
To make matters worse, arranging a replacement car has been impossible. It’s been a full day, and we still haven’t had anyone confirm they can provide us with one.
Overall, the lack of basic preparation (no spare tire), the painfully slow and unhelpful customer service, and the failure to arrange a replacement car left us completely stranded and hugely inconvenienced. Very disappointing experience with Enterprise – I would not trust them again.
DISGRACEFUL!!!
Quite simply, this was the worst car rental experience we have ever had by a long way. After flying from Australia and being in transit for about 30 hours, we arrived on time to pick up the car that we had booked more than 6 months ago - or so we thought.
We completed most of the initial paperwork (in Spanish) and then were left to wait standing in a busy car park with no office for half an hour before I asked where our car was. I was told by the Manager (Lluis) that they were just getting it and to wait for 10 minutes. No car emerged so I had to keep asking every 15 minutes where it was and was lied to and fobbed off each time for another 45 minutes.
I finally had had enough and insisted that the car be produced and eventually another 15 minutes later a completely different and badly scratched (on multiple panels) sedan was produced instead of the 7-seater that we had ordered for the 5 of us plus our luggage. I was stunned and after asking Lluis what was going on I was told this was what I had to take!
After squeezing 3 adults into the rear seat and only just being able to close the boot with our 4 bags (luckily we didn't bring 1 each or they wouldn't have fit!) I told him this wouldn't do as we planned to do a lot of driving across Spain and we wouldn't be comfortable and I wasn't happy about all the damaged panels. He just dismissed me saying that it was a better car than what we booked and I had to take it or leave it, leaving us without an option.
Upon returning the car to the Seville office, whose staff were much more professional and sympathetic than their Barcelona colleagues, we flew home to Australia. The Barcelona team then took it upon themselves to claim that I had damaged their already damaged car and proceeded to charge my credit card for the excess amount! I then had to spend 1 month with my travel agent getting these bogus costs reimbursed which was a very painful process given the non-responsiveness of Barcelona.
In short, you should avoid Enterprise Barcelona like the plague and I am now only just catching up on many similar reviews saying exactly the same thing - AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!
Scheme for extracting money from your Mastercard
They say they`ll reserve 200 euro as deposit from your Master, and then they take 1264 euros. Your tyre goes flat and car towed away, because the equipment provided doesn`t work, leaving you stranded in the middle of nowhere etc - and they keep 1264 euros - without explanation. When you ask for explanation and breakdown of figures and return, they ignore. Before that, at the start of rental, they give you a smaller car then booked, with 3 hours delay. It`s a scheme, they use insurance to charge you either extra insurance at onslaught, or extra for claim if something happens. The problem is they are all like this, with a very few honorable exceptions/employees. This business needs a serious wash.
Accept Monzo online but not in person - wasted an hour even with pre-paying and pre-checkin
I booked a car online in the UK for collection at Alicante. I pre-paid with Monzo and completed the advanced check-in with Monzo (you have to provide a card for check-in and it informed that i wouldn’t be charged but the Monzo alert indicated a €200 payment). Anyway i thought everything had been pre-arranged so that we could just collect our keys and go.
When we got to the Alicante Enterprise they said they don’t accept Monzo at all. My wife and i are fully Monzo and if my sister in-law wasn’t with us we would have “walked” away without a car. Even though we pre-paid and checked in online!
Next they gave us an “upgrade” which was an automatic car and not the manual car we originally asked for. To get this reverted we had to wait an HOUR to get customer service again.
The staff are not sympathetic and appeared irritated by our frustrations.
On a previous year they dropped our reservation because our flight was delayed - i was on a flight so how could i contact them to say we were delayed!
I will NEVER use Enterprise again and i recommend the same to anyone else reading this…
Be careful!
Be careful, this agency is a bunch of scammers. Last June we rented a Mercedes Vito. After a few kilometers, we discovered that the front carter under the car was broken, only holding with one screw, and falling on the ground. We managed to drive a few kilometers more to our first destination. The San Sebastian office was not picking up the phone (we tried both numbers several times). We sent them an email with details and pictures. On June 7th the car was fixed (the carter removed) by a local mechanic, after calling road assistance. We returned the car the following day and the employee in San Sebastian told us we would get our full deposit back. But later we were charged 221 euros, the price for roadside service assistance.
We contested this fare (again the San Sebastián office was not answering the phone), and it took Enterprise 2 months to finally answer, contesting our claim that the damage was pre-existing.
Of course they are lying. This was confirmed by the mechanic who fixed the problem on the road. He told us that the carter had been broken for a long time, and was only held with one screw!
This is obviously a scam. Enterprise San Sebastian stole our money - and put 5 people in danger.
Blatant crooks
Blatant crooks, they give you inferior car to what yu have paid for and try to "promise you" that its the same category even though the website states plainly the facts. The manager Lluis should be fired.
Promise you the rental will be discounted for the inferior car and unlimited kms but when you return the car they charge you 250 euros extra a day later!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
**Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid Enterprise at Alicante Airport**
We booked a seven-seater vehicle through Enterprise to collect at Alicante Airport. Our flight landed just before 11 PM, and while we were still on the plane waiting to disembark, I received a call from an Enterprise representative informing me that the vehicle we booked was no longer available.
They claimed there were issues with transferring the car from Madrid and offered no alternative solution. I was simply told that I should “find another car with another company myself.” Most rental desks close around midnight, so this put us in a very difficult situation with very little time to act.
What made the situation even worse was that the representative refused to provide her name when I asked—clearly to avoid accountability in case of a formal complaint. She also made no effort to assist in any way, despite knowing I couldn’t make phone calls while waiting in immigration and baggage claim.
I was essentially left stranded at the airport, with no help or courtesy offered by Enterprise. Thankfully, I managed to find a last-minute vehicle with another company, but at a significantly higher cost due to the urgent nature of the booking.
**Summary:**
* Vehicle booked in advance was not available upon arrival.
* No alternative offered, no real apology, no effort to assist.
* Representative refused to identify herself.
* Left me stranded with no support.
* Ended up paying more due to last-minute emergency booking elsewhere.
After speaking with other car hire providers and reviewing online feedback, it seems this is not a one-off issue—Enterprise appears to routinely overbook and cancel reservations last minute.
**Conclusion:**
Avoid Enterprise at all costs. This was an incredibly unprofessional and stressful experience. Poor customer service, zero accountability, and unreliable booking system.
V good service
2 day hire from Enterprise in Amiens and received great service from Sammy. Everything went smoothly from pick- up to drop-off. Highly recommend
