Very frustrating experience. Cancellation is unnecessarily complicated, and charges are not clearly explained.

I was billed without receiving a proper invoice, and when I tried to cancel, I was told to pay a large cancellation fee that was never clearly disclosed.

This feels like a trap rather than a transparent subscription service. I would not recommend EF based on this experience.

If this situation is not resolved promptly, I will be contacting consumer protection authorities.

Their educators are good

It might be good for B1 students but not higher. Teachers majorly are from Africa what means they are not native speakers and don’t have accents needed for real experience.

After a month of my studying personal lessons couldn’t be loaded, I just saw a black screen and they were promising to fix it but nothing happened. I decided to stop my studying and they charged 300 dollars from my card. There is no subscription which you can cancel, they just save your card and do whatever they want.

One tip in case you are still want to try it: debating the price right away and ask for lower one just saying no, it’s too expensive. They were ready to suggest me another price when I said I don’t want to use this platform anymore.

I have 2 private classes took, for that reason I'll give you 4 stars, however, I started to feel me more confidence and it's not hard to understand to the teachers, they have good pronuntiation and I like when they ask us participate.

I had a very disappointing experience with EF English Live. After formally notifying them of my decision to cancel the course, I continued to be charged without receiving clear contractual evidence of the penalties they claim apply. My repeated requests for documentation showing that I agreed to such cancellation fees were never properly addressed. Instead of providing transparency, they continued charging my card and kept my account active despite my explicit request to terminate the service. I strongly advise future customers to carefully review all terms and ensure they receive written confirmation before committing to any payment plan.

My experience almost one month studying English in EF English Live is very beautiful because the group classes I can learn with native teachers around the world, practice English with other people and teachers are very patient and gives feedback constantly. Individual Classes are very helpful because teachers teach very well and they are very patient and gives feedback. Activities help me so much because I learn grammatical very easy and the platform motivate to follow study. Congrats EF and thanks for helping me in learn English.
