Upon receiving this product, charging it up and trying it out, I discovered that the volume on the translated words was very low. A person could barely hear the translation in a quiet room, let alone a busy restaurant or street.
When inquiring regarding return policies, I am informed that, if the package is opened, no return is possible. There is no explanation how one could possibly test the product without opening the package....just repeated "our policy is that, if the package is opened, no refund is possible" I guess I just donated money to Enence. Unbelievable lack of logic or integrity.

Mar 22, 2026 update. It took some 30 days and this post to receive Enence warranty service. Their reply was a 50% refund which they bumped to 100% upon my request.
Feb 16,2026 update. I have not heard from Enence since receiving their email that their warranty department would be in touch within 24 hours. They have not responded to this negative review. January 19th, 2026 I posted the following review. .... I purchased 1 Enence translator. They charged me for 4, they changed it back to one when I complained. This immediately created my having to follow up with the credit card as they do not accept PayPal payment without you first providing a credit card. This is an Enence requirement so they can upsell you. PayPal does not require a credit card for the seller. All early attempts to use it failed because it would either do nothing or translate two short sentences and only two and it would quit. Enence replaced the unit quickly. The replacement has the same issues only 2 translations and quit, it also failed to turn off. It is now 14 days and 4 emails attempting to use the extended warranty to replace the unit and I have received no reply from their warranty department. The microphone is in one end of the device. The microphone has to be very close the face of the the person speaking so it was useless with taxi's and mostly useless with others, especially in a crowd, like on a sidewalk, as it also requires being be placed near the listener's ear to hear the translation. This product is a waste of your time and money!

RESPONSE TO ENENCE: I did respond and below is what I got back in an e-mail on 02-Feb, which incidentally, is from the same person who responded on 27-Dec-26 saying "They would need to look into my issue."

Had an issue with my translator, contacted Enence customer support. They said they would need to look into my issue and this was on 27-Dec - no further response. Very unhelpful.

Buyer Beware. The device is advertised in video and pictures as a stand-alone device, yet you actually have to have the app open on a smart phone for the device to work. It is basically a speaker and mic connected to your phone and the app does the work. The sound quality is poor. Even though the company advertises that the purchase is "risk free" and can "easily be returned within 30 days" what they fail to mention is they do not accept returns once the package is opened; so taking off the shrink wrap means you can't return it. If you return an unopened box you get charged a restock fee. I should have stuck with Google translate. Extremely disappointed in the false advertising, shady return policies, and customer service that basically just regurgitates the return policy and doesn't help.
