my grand children's Xmas presents

Overall, very easy and secure

I lost the connection after reading the Terms. Fortunately, there was another ad that popped up on Facebook. Otherwise, ordering was easy. Quite a few add-ons, though (optional).

I experience no audio

I experience no audio on my item bought. The text translation works on my I phone however i dont hear any sound coming from the translator speaker. I used and follow the manual instruction on how to connect. Audio is the only problem. Even the beep sound to start speaking is not heard.

Be very cautious when purchasing this…

Be very cautious when purchasing this product!
Although it works fairly well once you get it set up, there are several limitations that the company never informs you about.
Firstly, be careful when exploring the purchase process. The advertising is very misleading and once you get into the purchasing process you will find that each and every option of upgrades that were hyped in the ad comes with a cost. The ad makes it look as though all these wonderful features are included with the device. It isn’t until you get into the purchase process that you find out that every single little feature they had mentioned gets very expensive.

* The device IS NOT stand alone. You will have to pay extra for that capability, which I did, only to find out that you MUST have a smart phone and have it linked and the app ALWAYS running when using the device.
* It is very difficult to use the device without internet! In fact darned near impossible! Even though I paid for this feature during the purchase process we found that you really have to have access to the internet. This also makes me wonder if it sucks up our data while it is in use and connected to our phone.
* OVERLY AGGRESSIVE MARKETING!!! This fact is a very big turn off. Not only does this company offer one after another of pre purchase upgrades, it then starts calling and calling and calling to offer you more upgrades which I seriously doubt would ever be worth it.
FURTHER, the junk emails start! I had to block them completely.

Overall, I would not recommend purchasing this device.
I have found that Google Translate does as good a job if not better than Enence. Secondly, if you use Google Translate, there is no need to carry a second device around with you.
Install a decent communication app like Saily or Airalo and fork out the low cost of their plans and you will be good to go.
Consider yourself forewarned of this rather shady company. Read more of these negative reviews and study them closely. There is a reason people like me write them.

Although I am yet to receive my translator the online experience has been great - hopefully the translator arrives with the same efficiency!
