I was recommended Emin Read by a friend and was not disappointed. Buying my first property, I was not fully familiar with the process, but Ann-Marie and Emin were always prompt at replying to my queries and guided me through the process seamlessly. Fully recommend them if you are wanting to buy a property.

Very happy with the service received from Carole Russell at Battle in the matter of sorting out rights of access between myself and my next door neighbours, after the installation of a new sewage system as required by new government legislation. Carole was able to condense the multiple issues into a single application to the Land Registry, which they accepted without query, thereby saving time , money and frustration. Would not hesitate to use again and to recommend.

We engaged Vanessa to do the conveyancing on our new home on the recommendation of a couple of friends. Great decision! She made the process feel very clear and organised. Worst than useless ! AVOID these cowboys

We have just exchanged on a purchase with Emin & Ann‑Marie, and it’s safe to say they are some of the best solicitors out there. Very responsive, very clear, and they get the job done.

As an estate agent, I work with different solicitors every day, and I chose to purchase my own property through Emin to which I couldn’t recommend him and the team more.

They represented the buyers in our sale. The buyer was an employee of Emin Read (was not disclosed to anyone, I found out via their website), the solicitors and buyers were dealing in bad faith and unethically throughout the process. Requesting a reduction in price right before exchange for a detail that was evident from the get go. And at the final stage they somehow exchanged contracts for completion date set past the mortgage expiry date. Everyone in the chain was left in limbo till the final week before completion as the buyers had to arrange a fresh mortgage. Incompetence to say the least. Avoid at all costs. It was clear they were acting differently due to the buyer being an employee because that is the only explanation for such incompetence and being rude with agents when questioned on the mortgage expiry. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Ideally I would like to leave a -5 Star.
I found Emin Solicitors to be unprofessional, accusative, and generally a poor service. Emin tried there very best to stall my mortgage they had the audacity to contact my mortgage company to stop monies being released. Completely delayed the day of exchange in addition I was accused of money laundering and had my finances scrutinised… poor,poor,
Please do yourself a favour and don’t go anywhere near this company.

I needed to write a new will. She is a very personable and professional lady who guided me through all the aspects from start to finish, fully explaining all the legal aspects. Finally presenting me with a printed copy for my safe keeping. Highly recommend.

Laura has been nothing short of fantastic throughout our whole first purchase of a property. Efficient, kind and was happy to explain anything we wanted to know. The sale was smooth thanks to Laura and she reassured us throughout the process. We really can’t recommend Laura enough for property needs, particularly for a first time purchase.

I was recommended this practice from a colleague who used them for their house purchase. Intially communication from the front of house was pleasant. Unfortunately, I reached out to Emma Saxby re: conveyancing services and she never responded to my email or my follow-up email. Very disappointing services from the company. I took my business elsewhere.

Emin Read helped me with my flat sale and house purchase - it was a very long and complicated process, with challenges on both sides of the transaction, but Emin Read were brilliant throughout. our team (Charlie Walters and Andre Granditsch) were fantastic. Charlie always made himself available, guided us through every part of the process and really supported us while dealing with challenging parties on the other side of the transaction. I would 100% recommend Emin Read to a friend - but in particular Charlie - I'll seek him out if ever I look to sell again! Thanks Emin Read!

I cannot recommend Emin Read Battle enough, Both Vanessa Stroud and Clare Lane got us through the sale and purchase of properties. They communicated brilliantly and were on hand to answer any questions whether on the phone or by email very quickly. They constantly put us as at ease even at the most difficult of times.

Ive used Emin Read twice now for conveyancing, and Ive recommended them to friends. Laura Swindles is excellent. Very responsive, talks in terms that are easy to understand and kept us updated at all times. A breeze to deal with. Highly recommend.
