Broken down 23 miles from home on a Saturday with an 8 year old passenger (clutch failure). Rung up, and was politely informed that I am too far away to be towed home. All they could do is tow me to the nearest garage (which are all closed). This is not nationwide recovery as they call it. What am I supposed to do? Drop the car off at a random garage without opportunity to get quotes? Take taxi home, then taxi back to the garage to hand over the car and keys and again to collect the car? Never had this problem with other breakdown cover providers.

The continuation quote was more competitive than the alternatives on a comparative website.

I used Emergency Assist Ltd after my car wouldn't start. The technician came out, jump-started the car, and assured me everything was fine. He told me to keep the engine at around 2,000 RPM for 20 minutes, exactly as my mechanic had advised, and said the battery did not need replacing, even when I specifically asked and was happy to pay for a new one if necessary.
Unfortunately, the very next morning the battery was completely dead again. When I called Emergency Assist Ltd back, I was told I'd have to pay £125+ for another call-out, despite having been told the previous day that the car would be fine and that I didn't need to take it to a garage.
This has left me questioning what I'm actually paying for. If the battery or charging system wasn't properly checked, or if the issue wasn't correctly diagnosed, I would have expected to be advised of that rather than being reassured everything was fine and then charged again when the problem immediately returned. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Dreadful the worst possible service.
I had my wing mirror hit and hanging off whilst at a football match when. I called I was told it was not covered as the car was still driveable and the phone was put down on me.
I called back and asked for a supervisor to call me, an hour later I got a call and was told I was covered as I had paid the extra for accidental damage and vandalism and would I like them to send a truck. At this point it was 1am and I was half way home with a small child with me.
I lodged a complaint and included the policy showing that i was covered and was covered for parts and labour only to have the complaint closed and when I replied was ignored.
I am now logging a claim with the insurance ombudsman. go to Green Flag, AA or RAC in fact anyone other than this bunch of incompetent uncaring crooks !

Would put minus 100 for these cowboys, refused to come out for a gearbox issue although I had full UK cover , had the operator recorded stating this , had to pay £150 to get it to my garage then the jokers are refusing to reimburse this cost without reason , asked for there legal teams details to recover through the court system .... still awaiting this 10 days later ....DO NOT GO WITH THESE , they are cheap for a reason they take your money and don't help you ... go with a better firm with a better reputation... as a follow up below they asked for contact to resolve this and as of 16th July 2026 no reply to 3 emails sent to follow up on THEIR request , also they have refused to send details of there legal dept that was requested on 3 occasions are they scared 🤔🤔🤔, am sure companies house has a registered address for them..... absolute cowboys. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Additional 5 emails to them still no response looks like the responses are all for show they don't want to help resolve any issue at all.

0 star - useless, i can tell you that - renewed and took payment a week before renewal date, replied to that email asking for cancellation right away as no body answered the phone, I didn't get a reply, they didn't cancel -then I claimed through bank and they just refused to refund , remember cancellation request was made before the renewal date, ... I said i didn't need this cover as my insurance provider has included the breakdown cover, I will be making a legal claim -
My cover number is below if you decide to sort this out after this review?

Second review I posted about how the company failed to fix a flat battery they responded how they would investigate instead they just ghosted me I had to pay my garage to come and get my car started after their guy turned up with a homemade jump start machine that was flat my reference number on the complaint is BDN2-1865221 they have failed to respond to a number of emails i now use the RAC this Is my only way to give them a kick, so avoid using them they are COWBOYS who then do not accept responsibility for not providing what I paid for if I had the will I would take them to court but they know it’s just more time wasted on a cowboy outfit consider yourself lucky that I cannot be bothered with you.

I have made a complaint. This is a warning for others. Motorcycle regulator broke. It needed uplifting. I gave 2 motorcycle garage choices. Apparently they were unacceptable. I asked them to source one I was told I had to source one. On a Sunday, no chance of that. I was in a small village in the countryside. Still I was told Local garage only. I had to leave my motorcycle unattended and figure out how to get myself home. No one ever phoned back to enquire about my situation. Never again with this company.

Unfortunately I can only award this company one star as I have telephoned them for two days now with regards to starting a new breakdown cover policy with them.
Maybe they have enough customers and don't need anymore. Who knows?...

I am giving this company one star only because I cannot give zero.
The service was absolutely unacceptable. My car broke down at 10:45 a.m. When I called, I was told that a recovery vehicle would arrive by 1:00 p.m. No one turned up. I called again and was told 2:00 p.m. Again, no one arrived. After another call, I was told 3:30 p.m., but the recovery vehicle finally arrived at around 4:00 p.m.
My car is a four-wheel drive and would not start. The recovery driver refused to recover it, making various excuses and claiming he needed specialised equipment. He said he would call me when he could return.
I received no call. At around 8:00 p.m., I contacted emergency assistance again, only to be told that I would have to pay a £120 cancellation fee. Cancellation fee for what? The recovery was never completed, and the failure was entirely on their side.
They wasted my entire day and left me stranded without any resolution. The main reason I chose this company was for their European breakdown cover, yet they could not even recover my vehicle to a local garage when it broke down in the UK.
Based on my experience, the service was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend them, and I advise others to think carefully before relying on their breakdown service.

What an awful company to deal with. I recently broke down on the motorway and despite having a Premium policy with them, they charged me £368 to tow my car home, their excuse was that they were only liable to take my car to the nearest local garage, but because it was a Saturday they were all closed, so they would take my car home for a fee, so despite me having National Recovery on my policy, it counts for nothing. Beware of this Company.
