Only point of improvement was the communication about delivery of car - I was updated all the way but when told about final delivery estimate once car was in transit, the estimate was 2 weeks out.
(Start to middle of March but received on the 30th March).

From the moment of enquiry regarding leasing a new Renault 5 the service was excellent. Joe was consistently on hand to answer any questions and make the whole process as smooth as possible. The car turned up in pretty good time from point of order considering it was brand new factory order and new 26 registration coming out. The car is great we love it. And Joe was checking in with us every step of the way. One small gripe is the car didn’t come with any mats but overall the experience has been excellent from embrace leasing.

Searched a lot online for lease companies and decided to go with embrace leasing and glad I did. No issues, all questions answered and there was a lot. Kept me informed throughout the process. Mainly dealt with Adam who was great. They are part of Silverstone Leasing so dealt with them as well and a guy called Ned (I think) again no issues with Ned, I also dealt with a lady called Mandy I believe her name was. Anyway anyone I dealt with at both companies were really good at what they do. Happy I chose embrace leasing and in 3 years time I’m pretty sure I’ll be leasing again and embrace will be my first port of call. They weren’t the cheapest lease deal but as soon as I mentioned I had a better deal elsewhere they price matched it and dropped there fee down a little. The other company that had quoted didn’t seem as keen to get my business whereas I felt embrace went above and beyond so in the end I chose embrace leasing and glad that I did.

After looking on line found best deal available for a Volvo XC40 in the spec we wanted through Embrace. Really easy to deal with and everything ran very smoothly which felt well structured and organised.
Plenty of comms throughout the process so we knew exactly was happening and when. Vehicle was processed and delivered really quickly.
Next lease i’d be more than happy to use Embrace again.

Dear Embrace Leasing Team,
I must dispute several key points in your response as it is completely unfair, your version of events does not accurately reflect what occurred.
Firstly, regarding the telephone call you reference: I was contacted by a member of your team who explicitly stated that the purpose of the call was to confirm whether I authorised additional credit checks. I confirmed that I did, and I was thanked for doing so. At no point during that call was I informed that there was any outstanding documentation issue, any urgency attached to the order, or any risk of cancellation if further action was not taken immediately.
If, as you now state, the order had already reached a cancellation stage, it would have been entirely reasonable and expected for this to have been communicated clearly during that call or immediately afterwards. It was not. I was given no indication that failure to act within hours or days would result in cancellation or charges. BTW I acted immediately and actioned a credit check.
Secondly, the fact that the cancellation was communicated days later, rather than during or immediately after the call, raises serious concerns. This delay suggests either an internal processing failure or a lack of timely escalation on your side. It is not reasonable to attribute this to me when I had already cooperated, authorised further checks, and was never informed that anything further was required within a specific timeframe.
Thirdly, with respect to the original August order and the administration fee: that order was cancelled due to Embrace Leasing’s failure to honour the agreed delivery timeframe, despite this being clearly stated at the point of order. To now rely on “non-refundable” wording without acknowledging that the cancellation arose from your own inability to fulfil the agreed terms is, at best, unfair. No transparent explanation of how that payment was handled was provided at the time, and it was repeatedly ignored in subsequent discussions.
You state that the cancellation fee is “contractual rather than discretionary”. That position assumes that the underlying process was handled correctly and that I was properly informed at each stage. I do not accept that this was the case here. Consent to additional credit checks was explicitly requested and given during the call, after which I was told “ok brilliant, we will action that.” If the order had already been cancelled, or was about to be cancelled, this should have been clearly communicated at that point. It is difficult to understand why I would be contacted to authorise further checks if the order was no longer active, or why no mention was made of any imminent cancellation or associated charges. The way in which I was asked was that the finance company were requesting it and there was no other information inferring anything else given.
Given the above, I am formally requesting:
A full timeline of actions taken on your side following the telephone call in question.
Evidence of any communication explicitly warning me of imminent cancellation or charges following that call.
I have repeatedly requested a direct conversation with Mr Ryan Bishop to resolve this matter constructively, yet my calls have not been returned. That lack of engagement only reinforces my concern about how this situation has been handled. In my next response I leave call log history which further proves how deliberately ignorant these guys have been with me.
I remain willing to have this reviewed properly and fairly, but I do not accept liability for charges arising from miscommunication, delay, or internal handling issues beyond my control.
This issue has been handled awfully, there have been so many credit checks complete on my credit file from these guys and they have taken no accountability for anything. Still desperate for me to pay the amount, and not responding to any of my calls. Ryan Bishop especially has been very disappointing and I am looking to escalate this further as there has certainly been serious holes in what he has been saying as a manager. They clearly have no regard for customers they have let down and are desperate to pass any financial burden onto the customer.
