The tour and trip was made that much better with our guide Mohamed. He was across all aspects of his country and was easy to talk to and understand. He was happy to get involved with the group and have a laugh along the way. We went away feeling we had gained a new friend.

Our guide, Mr. Maher, made the trip amazing from start to finish. He gave our group a hometown feel to Cairo. We would not have found restaurants and other amenities that were first-rate without him. His historical knowledge and ability to work with local staff made the experience special. He always steered us to the best of the best. Everyone in Egypt was super friendly and really wanted to know if we had a great time. I give Mohamed Maher and all of the Egyptian people I met my highest recommendation. Egypt is very reasonably priced and if you have ever had an interest I would not hesitate to book Egypt Encompassed, and the guide Mohamed. I feel as though I was fortunate to have had the incredible experience I had. I am nearly certain it would not have been as magical without him.
Legendary historical landmarks, depth of knowledge on landmarks, hot air balloon rides (cheap), meeting the Nubian people, and a night on the Nile River on a private boat. You cannot make it up, the experience of a lifetime! Ask him what he recommends given your adventure level. Cushy hotels to rustic experiences -- he can arrange. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

We had the most wonderful tour with Egypt Encompassed! For a fascinating itinerary and great personalized service this is 'The' company for discovering the wonders of Egypt. It provided sage advise about safety, currency etc and a level of care that is above the norm, and especially necessary for crossing the streets in Cairo! We were part of a group of 12 including guide and driver, which is a perfect size for getting to know each other and making new friends. Throughout the trip, we had comfortable transportation, efficient transfers from site to site, and so enjoyed the great accommodation & delicious food: the boat trip was a dream and I especially loved the cuisine at the little Sudanese restaurant in Aswan and the evening sail on the Nile. Unforgettable! Throughout the trip we never had to wait in line for anything: our very experienced guide, Mohamed, seemed to know who to talk to everywhere and knew the best times to visit each site; he also taught us to 'Occupy the Space' so as not to get pushed around by other groups.
I never knew I knew so little about Egyptian history until I took this trip and got a full course education in Egyptology: From famed Cairo museums, mosques and the enchanting Old Cairo to Karnak, Abu Simbel & more, Mohamed concisely expounded on each site's remarkable timeline and history. Passionate about his country's history and its future, Mohamed is urbane, learned, engaging and funny: what more could you want from a guide you will be travelling with for 12 days?
Although we arrived in Cairo 3 days before the start of our tour, as soon as we landed at the airport, Mohamed called us, arranged our hotel transport, advised us about getting around the city and requested we call him anytime if we had any problems. That 24/7 concern is the ultimate trademark of this company and I am looking forward to my next trip with Egypt Encompassed in the near future!

We were blessed to have Mohammed as our tour guide in Egypt. He has a great personality and makes sure that our trip was relaxing and fun. He impressed me with his superb knowledge of ancient Egypt its history and the sites we visited. He made sure that we visited the sites early in the morning to avoid the heat and more importantly the crowds. We intend to return to Egypt and will definitely use Mohammed's services again.

We were lucky to have Mohammad as our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable, he was very accomodating to our needs for example we arrived early at sites to avoid the heat and crowds and have free time afterwards which we preferred, he also has a great personality and we had many laughs.

My wife and I were excited, amazed and educated every day by the wonderful History and Culture of Egypt. We were a bit apprehensive to visit Egypt due to unrest in 2013 but we were pleasantly surprised to find it safe and easy to tour with the help of Egypt Encompassed and our wonderful guide.
We had a small group tour of 6 and our guide was able to help us manoeuvre around larger tour groups and get first access to the Great Pyramid and key locations in many of Temples. We experienced Egyptian culture and food in the authentic restaurants that were off the tourist track.
Make sure you take the Hot Air balloon trip above the Valley of the Kings !

Egypt has always been on my "Bucket List" and I was not disappointed. From the moment we were greeted at the airport and taken to our accommodation with spectacular views of pyramids and historical sites on route to our magical cruise down the Nile, I was totally enchanted. Our guide Mohammed was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind, funny and professional, his love and respect for Egypt was infectious, he is definitely the reason why our tour was unforgettable.

My journey through Egypt's rich history and culture was elevated to new heights by our incredible guide, Mohamed. I've just returned from my trip to Egypt and it feels so surreal. I had the most incredible time and it would not have been the same without my guide from Egypt Encompassed. His knowledge of Egyptian history was impressive to say the least- he managed to bring every site we visited to life. Beautiful Egypt, with the tours you learn about the history, culture, traditions and general life. The tours are extraordinary, guides provide you not only with comprehensive knowledge but the passion is second to none and ensures the history is persevered. I felt safe and welcomed through all the guided tours.

My tour guide was very knowledgable about two things: 1. the history of Egypt and 2. the sights to see in Egypt. I particularly appreciated how he was very clear about setting expectations, things to expect and preparing the group as a whole for each day and each experience.
