Everything was very smooth and exactly as described. I found the phone conversation with the doctor very useful as he explained and had us think through the possible consequences of doing the test and what would happen should we get a result we were not hoping for.

We are very pleased with our experience with Eddalabs. Professional service with a close follow up. The process is so straightforward that it makes one wonder why the Norwegian health system has not been able to implement this. Even in these times with travel restrictions, Eddalabs was able to offer a safe solution. Would definitely recommend Eddalabs.

Very pleased with all the process from beginning to the end. Everything is well organized and sending blood sample with DHL worked very well and easy. The online NIPT skole is very informative and Dr. Kristian Wright addressed our further questions and worries during the phone call and we got the results very fast and in less than a week. Hopefully one day NIPT test is available to Mammas in Norway.

Great experience all the way from order until the final results. Dr. Kristian was supporting us through the whole process as we got high risk of deletion 22q11, explained that it is only 1 out of 5 chance to be affected and contacted Riks hospital (as we are located in Norway) to book biopsy (CVS).

They were very professional yet also kinda and thoughtful. They ensured we understood everything both before we took the test and after the results came in. They had great communication with us and gave us our results as soon as they come in even though it was on a Saturday. It was a very good experience and now we have peace of mind that our baby is in good health.

As a Swedish / British couple we were appalled to learn that KUB screening was not an option for us in Norway. We naively took it for granted as it's routine in both our countries and we would never have guessed that Norway, as one of the richest countries in the world, would be so "behind" on something that seems pretty standard elsewhere. We couldn't believe that at the 12 week ultrasound (which we also had to do privately although this is offered in both UK and Sweden as routine) the KUB test was not included. We then had to quickly research our options and scramble together the money to afford the NIPT test, our only option, before a termination of the pregnancy would have been a much more difficult affair should the baby be seriously ill. Although I understand why the price is what it is (this is not a dig at Edda Labs – the price is pretty much the same to do a private NIPT test in the UK or Sweden), I think its unfair that the Norwegian system basically makes the private NIPT the only option, which means that it's only a possibility for privileged couples that can afford the pricy private test. A basic KUB test should hence be included in the routine care, along with a 12 week routine ultra sound. NIPT should be made easily available, even if it remains private, so that expectant parents have the choice. It's our future after all, and a sick baby could cost the healthcare system a lot more than the KUB test. Dr. Wright at Edda Labs was incredibly helpful in our distress and it was great to finally feel seen and that our choices were supported. Although it's now legal to do NIPT test in Norway, many clinics won't help you with a blood test yet as the health department has yet to publish official guidelines. We hence felt like criminals as we walked in to the (aesthetic) clinic Dr. Wright helped recommend and it was not a nice feeling. They were super helpful there as well, but it didn't feel like it was above board (although we knew it was). We only wanted to see if our child was healthy – how can that be something that was until recently illegal and still something that didn't feel entirely above board? Dr. Wright has been nothing but incredibly helpful and made sure we understood every step of the process. He was also very human and supportive in delivering our results, which were all good, to our enormous relief. So, in lieu of a Norwegian prenatal care that offers the basic KUB test, we're very grateful to Dr. Wright and Edda Labs for offering us a NIPT test in Norway, and for the professional yet human service that was provided.

I got top service and both the test and the results where in, in just a couple of days. Dr. Wright it is also a really nice and caring person, he goes all the way to make you feel confortable and make sure you understand everything. He made this experience enjoyable and less scary.

We have been extremely happy with the support, information and follow up provided by Eddalabs for our fetal diagnosis. Finding precise and useful information on line on your own can sometimes be overwhelming. With the support of the doctor in Eddalabs we were able to get precise information that enabled us to make our choices with confidence. The follow up of the doctor during the whole process has been extremely good, he was always available and reachable. The doctor’s knowledge of the Norwegian health system in addition to his technical medical competence has been a great plus. Warmly recommended.

Dr. Kristian is extremely helpful and takes the time to explain everything very thorough. It took 2 days for the kit to arrive and got the results a week after sending the test via DHL. Dr. Kristian was easy to contact and felt very well taken care of. Everything was super easy and a very good experience from start to finish.
