Based on reviews, created with AI

Reviewers had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently highlight the ease and convenience of the process, appreciating the quick cash for their old devices. Many people find the service straightforward and user-friendly, making it a good option for decluttering and getting some money for unused electronics. The multiple payment methods are also a plus, and the overall experience is often described as efficient and simple. However, some customers were dissatisfied with the payouts, feeling that the offers were too low, especially compared to online quotes or selling privately. There were also occasional issues with the machines, such as faulty cables, problems with selfie verification, or units failing to connect to devices. A few people also mentioned slow processing times and concerns about the accuracy of the device evaluation, leading to lower-than-expected offers.

Easy process if you have a phone collecting dust

Easy to use had a phone from few years ago (IPhone 12) the back was in bad condition but the rest was good like functional and good screen, they gave me $42 which was fine by me as I wasn’t using it and it had just been sitting around for like 2 years so I guess I should’ve done it awhile ago…

Too time consuming for me

Too time consuming for me. I had several old old phones, tablets to get rid of, but both of my arms are broken from an accident so each time going through the process to sell was too long. It would be nice if you could create something an easier that’s all.

Rip-off

Machine stated $146, then only dispensed $81. Total BS.

I've used this service a few times

I've used this service a few times, only got about $6 for like 4 phones the first time I tried it. Total rip-off on that transaction. Then, the second time I used it, I put in a brand new Samsung S24FE, and it gave me $83. I feel like I got ripped off, once again. I read something about the possibility of a second payment after they physically inspect the device, so we'll see if that's real or not. My device was immaculate, fresh out of the box.

Underpriced me so much

Underpriced me so much. I was charging it in the atm but it was taking to long so I brought it to the car and charged it and when I returned to the atm it said the phone was not powering on. And of course I had to take the offer because I need the money right now but easily could’ve gotten more than $11 for an iPhone 11

I had a terrible experience with…

I had a terrible experience with ecoATM. I turned in two phones and the claim and payment process became confusing, slow, and inconsistent. One of the phones was an iPhone 13. On ecoATM’s website I selected iPhone 13 and got a locked in quote for 129 dollars, but the email tied to the same code later showed iPhone 13 Pro Max instead. I have screenshots of that mismatch. That should never happen because the device information needs to be accurate from the start.

After ecoATM took possession of my phone, I was not properly paid and the matter turned into a claim issue. I was told it would take about 24 to 48 hours or 2 to 3 days to review, but it dragged on much longer than that. There was also another iPhone transaction for about 50 dollars, so this involved more than one device and more than one payment issue.

What made it worse was the constant confusion from customer support. I was given multiple claim numbers and conflicting information about what was approved, denied, mailed, or still under review. One claim was supposedly approved and a check was said to be mailed, another was still under review, and another was later denied. Even after asking repeatedly, I still was not given a clear explanation of all the payment amounts and how all the claim numbers actually related to the phones I turned in.

Overall, the process felt disorganized, misleading, and unfair. ecoATM took possession of my property and then made me chase them for answers while giving inconsistent information the entire time. I would be very careful dealing with this company.
