Well pleased

Had a bad time with last provider and although I am a fairly be customer with Erico-WHAT A DIFFERENCE!- customer service-excellent-online billing is straight forward -easy to see how your total bill is calculated and to update meter reading-a doddle.
Well done Erico-so far-perfection.

Unsure of pricing.

Easy to use app. I chose because I wanted a tariff without standing charge.
I have only had one bill so far and it was more expensive than I expected. Higher than the company I switched from.

So far

So far, so good but a bit too early to a full opinion. One negative is it's just one year contract.

Upped my direct debit by £40 despite agreeing not to

I had an email saying my direct debit was to go up £40 a month. As we had been away on an extended holiday and our usage was down, I told them I did not authorise the extra £40 and we agreed to review again in three months. In any event they took the extra money which caused me to be almost overdrawn. Very disappointing and untrustworthy, hence one star rating.

Paying to much

I'm paying £10 a month and only use a few units, the supply is for a security gate, when are they going to look at my usage and adjust my payments?

Low users switch now!

Very happy with Ebico.....until now! Latest bill exposed tariffs had been changed to standard rate for both my mother and I who are low users from zero standing charge. No letters were sent informing us of this change despite Ebico customer service claiming otherwise (2 lost in the post?!). Now the new 'zero' standing charge rate has a 'minimum spend'! Going to be challenging this with Ofgem as it is fake to be offering zero standing charges and then literally charging for nothing! When I challenged Ebico as to why it was £52 for electric and double, £104, for gas I was informed it was a "business decision" the same answer as to why these charges were introduced! What a scam from a company that claims to be "not for profit" and "helping with fuel poverty"! Spoke to 2 agents and was promised 2 manager calls "within 48 hours" .....still waiting!!!

After trying to screw me over, I say screw you EBICO.

99% of their goods ratings are from new users rating them on the switch to Ebico rather than actual long standing accounts who have had to expirience their appalling customer service. This sadly skews their ratings higher than they actually are!

EBICO Used to be good when SSE supplied them but since getting into bed with Robbin Hood Energy they have changed and for the worse.

Historically Robin Hood was known for stealing from the rich to give back to the poor, I joined EBICO many years ago as they had a vision to stamp out fuel poverty, it is irony indeed that the way they now act is to rob you to line their own pockets. If this were a competition for crooks limbo dancing they would surely win, I would say win hands down but their hands are probably somewhere in your pockets or bank account fleecing you!

EBICO have placed me on tariffs I never agreed to, overcharged me, taken money from my bank without my authority, and since I decided to instigate a switch to another supplier they have placed me on what I believe is currently their most expensive tariff (25.4588p/kWh Electic and 6.7145p/kWh gas)

My new supplier when the switch goes live is only going to charge me 13.5345p/kWh Electric and 2.4885p/kWh gas, a massive saving of 47% on my electric and 63% on my gas bill, however, it's not just about the money, it also frightens me that EBICO can on the fly make changes to my tariff, also they take money from my account (even when I do not owe it) which, as a vunerable disabled person on a limited income is not something I can allow to occur.

Shame on you EBICO, you have not only lost a long standing customer but I will never forgive you or use you again.

A shocking experience

Moved into new property with pre paid meters - gas supplied by Ebico. Large debt already on meter so no gas. Managed to contact customer services and they promised that an engineer would be on their way. Waited up until 1 a.m. no-one came. Still no heating still no hot water 4 days later and had to check into a hotel to be able to have a shower. Husband 84 and disabled and we are both distraught.

Just gave this greedy company the…

Just gave this greedy company the shove, been with ebico for more years than I can remember, then they got in tow with an even more greedier council (Notts) .. then the tariff I was on came up for renewal, looked @ it carefully, happy with the prices, butt wait, whats this??? ....... Minimum annual bill value??? now, as a very very low gas user (£24.00 / year) Minimum annual bill value is set @ £104 / year, so I've to increase my gas usage 5 fold, or ebico(spit) will take £80 out my account for SFA ... NOW WITH BULB even with a standing charge Bulb is cheaper

Robin Hood Robin Hood Robin Hood here we go again....

Was with Ebico for 5 years - very poor!

Was with Ebico for 5 years from their time with SSE and they were great! Then they teamed up with Robin Hood energy and things went wrong for us Pre-pay customers. First off our tariffs jumped a lot over the past few years as they became the most expensive supplier for my region.

So I decided to leave them last month, this month I get my final bills only to discover that they forgot to put the PRN numbers/barcodes on them, forcing me to either phone them up to pay it off or via my pre-payment cards, in which I did.

This caused more problems as my local corner shop (Martins) could only allow me to pay it to the nearest £, so I ended up over paying. So I got back in contact with Ebico straight away, 2 weeks later they get back to me only to tell me they won't refund the over payment as it's down to my new supplier despite my final bill stating they will refund any remaining credits. So much for 'not-for-profit!'

So my advice is if you are a pre-pay customer looking at switching to Ebico, don't stay well clear!

Ebico care for customers my arm pit.

Seem I have been put on the naughty step by them, in saying that I am at my wits end, they wanted to put my DD up by £26 Evan though I have been in credit all year, so what they done was to not pay my warm home discount, which would put me in debt, thus justifying said DD rise, I stopped the DD because the money is just not there on a pension, and pay monthly, so they punished me with a very high tariff, £215 in standing charges alone, and a very high rate in both gas and electric, still no warm home discount, worried for the future now, even contemplated just ending it all.

Reliable Energy supply - Customer Service could be more flexible

Had a 1y fixed tarif with them. What can I say - it's an energy provider - gas and electricity supply went smoothly. Direct debit was adjusted according to different usage in winter / summer to avoid over/underpayment. Unfortunately, customer service weren't flexible to provide a bill for a specific date when there was a change in occupants in the shared accommodation despite being given exact meter readings from the day in question. Also quite steep increase after 1y, which led to me switching supplier.

I've just read the many messages left…

I've just read the many messages left by people regarding there experience with ebico. My experience is similar to many people after they stopped the zero daily charge. I applied for help with my energy costs and was told that I would qualify because my income was zero. A year later and after running up a bill with ebico I was told, I do not qualify. There electric and gas prices are one of the highest I've ever seen and it didn't take me long to find a new energy company offering gas and electric for a fraction of the price. I for one will never return to ebico
