DXO PureRAW is a very good software solution to improve pictures, made by high ISO.
Also the support team is excellent, by finding a specific solution for my laptop.
All in on…perfect !!!

I'm still waiting for the results of my problem analysis, thus cannot give a positive note so far...

The AI mask lockup with Nvidia video card. Even with the latest driver.
To much lag during use with no indication of background processes going on.
Way to much advertising emails.

I recently purchased PhotoLab 9 but was unable to operate it owing to an older version of Windows 11 - DxO suggested a manual load of a newer Windows. When that didn't work I spent two days and 8 hours online with three Microsoft reps, but we could still NOT get my machine to accept a newer version. Upon being advised of my situation DxO issued a prompt refund of my purchase price. I have used the Nik Filters product for years and am extremely satisfied with them, as well as DxO customer service with my PL9 issue.

It is a marvellous product. It forces me to have a second look at my redundant past captures.
"Thank you so much for your reply! It means a lot to know that the team behind the software takes the time to read and respond to reviews.
Your software truly is a game-changer. I recently captured a bee on a purple flower using a fully manual lens (Brightin Star 55mm F1.8) that doesn't even register in the EXIF data—no AF, no lens corrections, nothing. And yet, the image was sharp and beautifully composed.
When I processed it in DxO, the colors came alive in a way that reminded me why I fell in love with photography. Your software didn't just edit the photo—it helped me see it with fresh eyes, just like you said.
Thank you for creating tools that inspire us to be better photographers. People who create valuable tools for us should be made happy all the time—and I hope this message makes your team smile.
Keep up the incredible work!

The reason I won't use this program is that I use Photoshop, and I do not have many of my raw/NEF files saved. It is a great program, and I would begin to use it as I do; at times, I still need assistance, but it doesn't warrant paying for both programs at this time

DX0 answered my question the same day I asked it. That is stellar customer service!

DxO has the best noise reduction in the business. It’s selection tools work well, and it works quickly.

Dxo has some great features but some irritating flaws unfortunately. The good stuff is brilliant denoise, camera and lens profiles plus some great masking tools. Also no monthly fees, instead a lifetime purchase although it’s not cheap.
On the negative, some basic masking tools are missing and require further software purchase.
In the past I’ve had some issues with responsiveness when using the sliders. The help desk sent an update which has almost fixed this problem however I still get the odd occasion when I experience sluggishness. I should point out that I don’t know if it’s DXO software related or not. I will investigate further when I have time.

I was unable to download the optics modules. After contacting DxO customer service, the problem was resolved very quickly. Kudos to the entire team for your efficiency and responsiveness!

New user here. Two major shortcomings so far: 1: NIK 9 does not work as a plugin to Lightroom (NOT the Classic version). That means that one has to go through Photoshop creating an extra, frustrating step for a non-Photoshop user. 2: Why aren’t all NIK effects integrated into a single, seamless, combined app so I can easily switch between effects? It is frustrating to have to close and open separate apps just to change effects. The effects so far seem very powerful and quite deep for some solid editing.

Terrible service. For many years I’ve been a user of Nik software. When DxO first took over the software from Google it was free but DxO started to charge for it. I’ve always purchased an upgrade. I’m currently using v6 and decided it was time for an upgrade to v9. However, when I applied I was told I wasn’t entitled to the upgrade as I needed to be using v7 or 8. This has never been an issue before and the DxO.com website clearly states updates are free with no mention of any restrictions.
The company website clearly says:
Enjoy a lifetime license with no limits, subscriptions, or hidden fees.
Access exclusive upgrade pricing for new versions.
windows.
Download immediately for Mac or Windows.
This is clearly not the case as my experience and the experience of others have reviewed the company demonstrates.

Have used PureRaw for several years, which is a good software. However, Photolab 9 is sluggish even on a Macbook Air M4, which is amazing. I'm a former user of DXO Optics Pro and Photolab 1, which were nice pieces of software.
Fast-forward some years and the situation today:
If you want some basic features that are included in Adobe Lightroom, you'll need to add Filmpack, and sometimes even ViewPoint. If you want to update the software annually, you end up with a much more expensive solution than Lightroom, which is quite staggering. You also only get an upgrade price if you own the last two versions.
Unfortunately, I bought PL and FP and activated them, so I can't get a refund according to DXO, but I have already decided to stop using DXO software, except for PureRaw (which is why I gave this review two stars instead of one). I never thought I'd praise Adobe Lightroom and its subscription model, but here I am considering the issues of DXO software and its financial model.

Love the product but I’m finding that some of the Lens corrections when it comes to Leica cameras are distorting the image so I’m going to not use any lens corrections moving forward.
