Adam came out to repair our campervan…

Adam came out to repair our campervan in Dover, Marine Parade carpark. He charged us £475 and left our camper in worse undrivable state, than when he arrived. He told me to drive it up and down the carpark a few times, and it will cure itself. He had to borrow jump leads, to get it slightly running on 3 cylinders. He mis-diagnosed the fault, it was not a blocked DPF, it was a cam chain that had jumped a few teeth. I absolutely request anyone considering using DPF-UK to think again, as once he has your money, you will never hear from him again.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - SCAM

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - SCAM.
Adam came out - very friendly and confident. Said his diagnostic computer said the pressure was high and the DPF filter was clogged, and then diagnosed it as being the Ad blue injector. So I left him to sort it. He was done in just over and hour. He told me he had also taken off the turbo (which i later found out, on a more modern diesel was a 4 plus hour job, on its own).
There was slight foam coming from the exhaust, but he said that was from the cleaning. He was totally confident that was the problem and it was fixed.
I paid him the money via the bank app, and it flagged a warning not to ignore this message as it detected a scam. I thought it was the system playing it safe, so I paid the £365 to him.
He said nothing about getting back in touch with him , or about a warranty, or about any paper work or “reports” as he later stated. He never said this would potentially not be the problem and problem might come back.
I took the car out and 2 miles in the computer flagged the DPF filter clogged and the engine warning light came on and the car went into limp mode, to protect its engine. Exactly the same as it was before.
I called him 4 times, and didn’t get through.
Google prompted me to leave a review, so later on, seeing as I had heard nothing, I wrote a bad one. I text him as well at that point and then he replied saying i should have called him and said there was a problem. He then called me (21:30 at night), and got really shitty with me saying I should have text as he does not get missed calls - every network lets you have texts saying when you miss a call, even if it has gone to voice mail, and that I was hiding behind a keyboard and writing “sh*t about him”.
He said there was a 3 month warranty, and he would have come back, I said about all the reviews on Trust pilot, he something along the lines of he didn’t care, and he had loads of good reviews, and he had contracts with Land Rover and John Deere. Although you would need to be registered with Companies House in order for them to deal with you - and his DPF UK ‘company’ is not. He called me a “fuc*ing scum bag” - so i told him I thought he was a scammer.
He said the computer would not always tell him where there was a problem - even though it’s a diagnostic machine, and it could be thousands of things causing it. There was no mention that it could be trying one thing and if that didn’t fix the problem, trial and error style. He was more than confident the problem was dealt with when he was done.
I said there was no way he told me this when he was finished and he was so so confident it was fixed - and the DPF filter was cleaned. How can it have been cleaned if the computer then said “DPF clogged” 2 miles in? Even if the underlying prob had been fixed, IF he had cleaned the filter, then it would be clean and would take some time to then re-clog up, so I know it was bull shit. I told him that even if he was gonna come back earlier that day, al these trust pilot reviews said when he had come back to them, he said things like he had to go to Halfords to get a part, and such things like it took 16 weeks to get bits, didn’t fill me with confidence. I also said do you give Land Rover etc paperwork when you do a job? As I saw nothing like that. He said he was gonna do a report that night and he had told me this (all crap). If that was the case, he only had my number, so what was he going to do - send me a report on text?!!!!
I also asked him if he called Land Rover etc “fu*king scum bags” - he said he would if they talked shit about him.
He never said do you want me to come back, then? Even though I would not wanting him to touch my car after all that. In the end he hung up the phone on me.
Everything he said was crap - saying he said things he never said. Fixing a turbo on and off a car is a huge job - you can’t pull it off and do all the cleaning on the DPF in m just over and hour.

He is a scammer/con artist, whatever you want to call it. £365 gone in a matter of minutes and no offer of anything on our later phone call to re fix it. That in my book (and clearly many others) IS the definition of a scam.

Adam Pile came out to do a DPF clean on…

Adam Pile came out to do a DPF clean on my car,it was back in limp mode in less than 24hrs,contacted Adam as he said I required a new part,I had to pay up front,he arranged to fit this part but on the day he text me saying Ford had only supplied 1 part & it needed 2,he said he would go & sort it out & reorder, I never heard from him again so I messaged him, didn't get an answer so I sent another message to which he replied eventually. I requested a refund as I felt he had long enough, got a reply saying he had ordered the part & that he would have to get a refund from Ford & then he would refund me,of course he hasn't refunded & now is not answering any messages or emails. I would not advise anyone to use this company or this person as he is nothing more than a scam artist. I wish that I had found the reviews on Adam Pile as not only did he get the fault wrong he obviously has no idea about cars & I seriously doubt he has any real knowledge as a mechanic. Steer clear everyone of this company & Adam Pile.

Another person scammed

Another person scammed. Adam came out to fix our car 3 weeks ago, he didn’t call or text when didn’t turn up for first booking, we should have taken that as a warning. He then replied to us arranged another time to come. Seemed friendly enough at the fixing, finished the job within 45 minutes and left then the engine warning light straight back on. As we’ve read with many other reviews he told us to go to Halfords and buy something. After already spending £300 funnily enough we’re not wanting to spend more. After two weeks of us contacting him by text, phoning and he was still fobbing us off, even twice on the phone on one day saying will come back within the hour and that evening to set a date to return, never did. Extremely painful. We now have solicitor involved, looking into all aspects of this, he has promised a refund and if will see if receive that. We have paid for a service which has not been fulfilled. Also looking into the VAT aspect of this company. After saying he has two choices, refund or come back and fix, he said we have been so impatient. Honestly the cheek and audacity of this after it has only been us trying to resolve the still broken car. Any other person or garage would have been bending over backwards to come back and correct the job. He also told us there’s other things wrong with the car, so blaming us. We’re well aware it’s got issues but we paid £300 for something to be fixed, if he didn’t think this would fix it he should have told us beforehand. Not take our money and never return. He informed us accounts will refund us within 5 days, we know full well there is no accounts it’s only himself as per his website. Will be reporting to action fraud next week and trading standards and watch dog as others have. Going by the reviews all the usual tricks he pulls have been pulled with us. Will also leave this on trust pilot to go along with the awful reviews there to. Steer clear! Disgusting service and not even sure has a clue what he’s doing. Very dishonest person pulling the usual tricks he seems to with every person. Our solicitor will be in touch soon if we don’t receive a refund. Will update this review if we receive a refund.

Very polite and fast replies when booking and on the day, since then, trying to get an invoice (had to pay cash as card link "wasnt working"), and report took many chasers. Communication ever since adam was paid, has been like pulling teeth.

I wish id have read the reviews before booking. Light came on again the next day, and he told me to go and buy something from halfords (which he never actually sent me what to buy).

3 month warranty stands, but only if you can get him back / get hold of him......

I wish I had checked trust pilot first

I wish I had checked trust pilot first. Adam is a friendly, seemingly genuine guy. £360 dpf clean, he says he will send through a report, which I chased but he did not reply. My car failed its mot on emmissions yet again. I stupidly didn't check the soot readings on his computer when he was here, no report and he didn't take the car out after cleaning!! All of these things should have rung alarm bells.....please do not use this company.

Another person ripped off

Adam was friendly, personable and gained my trust. It hurts even more when you think you're a good judge of character and then you get taken. He took £280 but left me with the same engine faults codes, saying that he had done the work and that a simple code reset was all that I needed. Said he would return to do this, but then disappeared and was actually resentful that I was disappointed with his service when I tried to contact him to follow up, like it was my fault! Wish I'd checked here before I called him in the first place.

I'd like to believe that Adam is basically a nice guy and professional, and that perhaps he has some personal issues to resolve which are affecting his ability to provide a good service. However, looking at the continuing bad reviews it appears that he still ripping people off. I wasn't going to post because I generally believe in being positive and giving people a chance, but if I can prevent another person losing their money to Adam then it was worth it. There are plenty of other DPF service companies out there with great reviews. The good reviews for Adam here are fake - there is no 'team'. It's just Adam and his terrible service.

SCAMMER He should be in prison

SCAMMER - DISHONEST - AVOID!!!

So many things were wrong and dishonest with this “service”. I booked Adam Pile to clean my DPF. He picked up the phone instantly at 6pm and was available at very short notice the next morning to fix it. This should have been my first alarm bell.

A normal mobile DPF clean involves parking the DPF van near my car to connect the two and flush chemicals through. There was no nearby space and he said that’s okay. This should have been my second alarm bell. He never connected cars or flushed the system. He just opened my hood and played around with things. At the time I assumed that perhaps he’s using a different method and to trust his expertise.

He then said that the clean was complete but gave me a report of other things he believes are wrong with the car like sensors. He said the car will run like a charm for quite a long time now but that ultimately I should look at fixing the other issues (sensors). This should have been my third alarm. That he’s claiming he’s done a clean and charged me for it while saying issue is something else.

I asked if he’s able to fix other issues. He said yes and he will send me a quote. Quote never came. 4th alarm bell.

I drove the car 1 mile and the DPF filter light came back on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He had done absolutely nothing and charged me £250.

I called him. No answer. Left multiple messages. No response or call back. I tried calling from a different number. He picks up immediately!!! Massive alarm number 5!

He says he will come back to look at it. I wait 17 days. He doesn’t come or commit to a date to come. All this time my car is unusable as I wait. I tried calling him many times, again no response.

I finally get hold of him and he is refusing to even visit. Claims I should be solving the other problems first. And now says the other issues (sensors) aren’t guess expertise to fix which contradicts his previous claims.
Which begs the question what he even did on my car and what I paid £250 for???

If the issue really was with other components and not the filler, it would have been reasonable if he had charged me a call out diagnostic fee. And then advised of what I need to fix. Rather than charge me for a clean which I’m also 100% convinced never actually happened.

He’s refusing to correct/compete his service or refund the money.

AVOID this company and ADAM PILE

I’ve reported him to Trading Standards and watchdogs who will be after him shortly.

Other customers need to be aware and not get scammed like I have been.

Avoid! He’ll take your money and run!

Called this company as I had already paid to have my DPF cleaned and was ripped off by another company (DPF SOS). I was assured by Adam that he could do the job, and was so grateful. He was very kind and came to fix my car while I was out. He said it was fixed, sent me the pictures and left. I went to use my car and it was still in limp mode. I called him and he came back the same day but said he’d have to come out again as needed more time to find out what was wrong and that ‘this had never happened before’. He eventually came out, told me he thought he knew what the problem was, took my engine apart (so now can’t move car at all) and said he’d find the part he needed and be back. He asked to be paid for what he’d done so far, which I did, and never came back. Wouldn’t answer phone calls or texts so I used someone else’s phone and, shock, he answered!!! He said his children’s mother was ill and he was out of the area but would ring me the next day with a date when he could come back and assured me he would fix my car - no phone call. Eventually he text to say he’d taken on too much work and wasn’t coming back. I’ve gone from a car that I could limp to a garage to a car that needs towing because he took the engine to pieces. I’ve asked him for just the last payment I made to him (when he took the engine apart) for £100 to be returned to me so that I can get it towed to a garage and have still had no response. Adam seems like a great guy, makes lots of promises and reassurances, then takes your money and disappears. He’s not a legitimate company and as such doesn’t service ambulances which he claims to do!! Avoid at all costs!

Adam Ripped us off

Trust the reviews, this guy spotted a crack in the flex hose to the dpf. He told us after he took the money, no receipt. We waited in all day, he let us down, turned up the following day. We're having to replace the whole exhaust now, when I texted him asking why he didn't tell us the fault and just charge us a call out fee instead,he never replied. He knew what he was doing, ripping us off

Well we’re do I start

Well we’re do I start please don’t use dpf uk .I should have looked at the reviews first.
Called out agreed on price 285 pounds
For a dpf clean after about 45 mins he was finished he mentioned that could be a sissing noise from the flexi pipe so I got it checked it was the adblue injector so I go it changed.after driving about6 miles the dpf lights came on again so I called him and he wanted another 125 pounds call out charge.so I got a diagnostic done again results say everything is blocked so I called him for a refund and the invoice got no refund and no invoice my car has only done 57 k miles
What a ripoff
I asked for a partial refund never got nothing
How can these people work like this
Now I have to pay someone else to do the job properly
Please dont use can’t remember the date exactly actually zero stars more likely

What a let down !

I could not recommend this person ,if I had seen the above review I would not have used this company. He arrived 6 hours late ,which caused stress ,he did appear to clean my DPF and also said it could be a sensor that he would supply and fit included in the price with no extra outlay . After the clean was completed he did not do a test drive ,he took my money, did not supply me a receipt. When he left I drove the car and it was as bad as before he came .I rang him and he said he would return the next day at 10am ,he never turned up,I phoned and eventually got a text saying he had a family crisis which may have been true or just B.S. ...but I have not seen him since, no part provided,no further work ,no partial refund ,no contact just £240 to not have the car sorted at all .Had to take it to another garage for the part he'd promised to be supplied and fitted but obviously had to pay out more ...very very disappointed, felt ripped off.
Please take heed.

Diesel Particle Filter Cleaning

Please do not use this company trading under the name of DPF-UK.Co.UK. They claim to be able to fix diesel particle filter DPF on your driveway via a mobile service. Having looked at the website which promised much and spoken to the person at the other end I was assured he could fix my DPF issue with car Citreon Berlingo no problem. A simple clean the filter, refill the filter reservoir and remap the ECU. I paid £120 deposit and a further £374 on the day. He came, cleaned the filter, filled the fluid then claimed to have issues remapping the ECU. A software update was needed on his analyser. This he would need to do at home. He said the vehicle could be driven normally and that he would be back to remove the fault the following week. Reluctantly I paid trusting this guy! His name is Adam Pile. Once he had left I tried to run the car down the road. Clouds of smoke and the engine in limp mode. I rang him straight away he said it would clear and not to worry. He did not contact back. I sent numerous texts and he eventually responded admitting he was unable to fix the car. He claims there is a further fault with the pump supplying the fluid then maybe the ECU mapping which he is unable to get hold of!! Comical really since he specialises in these vehicles with 14 years service. He point blank refuses to give a refund or partial refund. The company is not registered on Companies House so therefore must be a sole trader. There is no address on the website so making a small claim will be challenging. BUYER BEWARE! This company claims to have to completed the job namely clean the filter and refill it and made no promise to fix the car.... Funny when you think about it. Who would agree to spend £494 to have work done which isn't going to work unless they were promised otherwise. My car is now scrap as the parts are unavailable to fix it. There is some kind of manufacturing issue. I'm told 7 months!! Hence I have scrapped the car. DO NOT USE these people. Trading under the name DPF-UK in the south east, south west and the midlands. I wonder how many other disgruntled customers are out there!
