He was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and always took the time to reassure me at every stage. Responsive and Professional

We would recommend Douglas & Gordon as being that rare thing - a professional, responsive and effective agency. Harry at Shepherd's Bush helped us let my sister's house and despite a couple of difficulties with potential tenants, he helped us find the right people and understand the upcoming changes in the law.

Genuinely couldn't have asked for more

We are genuinely so grateful for everything Chris and the team at D&G have done for us. From start to finish, Chris was honest, always available, and incredibly helpful. He handled everything with care and professionalism, took all the viewings himself and it was obvious throughout that we could trust both him and the team to look after our best interests, not just push through a sale.

What really made the difference was the way Chris and D&G gave us real, practical advice; something we didn’t appreciate until we experienced a previous agency who simply didn’t deliver. Chris responded to us quickly, explained every step , and when a ground rent issue came up, he was the one to guide us towards using an indemnity policy to resolve it. None of the other professionals involved in the process had offered this solution, and it ended up saving us a substantial amount of money and stress.

Chris truly went above and beyond, even helping when we were silly enough to lock ourselves out by lending us the spare set of keys straight away. He was also incredibly patient with our buyer, answering a huge amount of their questions and smoothing the process despite these things not necessarily being part of his role.

The fees with D&G were only marginally higher than some of the cheaper agencies we could have chosen, but it was absolutely worth it. Our earlier mistake of choosing a cheaper agent ended up costing us far more in missed buyers, stress, and lost time. With Chris and the team at D&G, the whole process felt well supported and ultimately led to the positive outcome we had hoped for.

We wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend D&G to anyone looking for trustworthy, hardworking, and genuinely helpful estate agents. Chris honestly couldn’t have done more or been a better support. Thank you so much!

Ciarnan was a pleasure to deal with - super flexible, understanding and responsive. We had a nightmare moving out of a previous place because of a mould/damp situation, and working with Ciarnan was like a breathe of fresh air after all the nightmare estate agents we were dealing with (specifically Foxtons). Would 100% recommend!

Chris Campbell was exceptional!

Chris Campbell at Douglas & Gordon was exceptional - he successfully sold my flat in Brixton in a difficult market, completing just before Christmas.

Chris was excellent from the outset. Even before I formally instructed him, he took the time to visit the property several times and offered thoughtful, practical advice on how best to prepare it for sale. Throughout the process, he was professional, proactive, and clearly took personal ownership of the sale.

He demonstrated strong judgement around pricing and launch strategy, which generated early interest, and he personally handled all viewings. Communication was consistently excellent via Whatsapp/emails - he was always responsive, kept me well informed, and followed up promptly with clear feedback.

Chris negotiated a strong final outcome and remained fully engaged through to completion, helping to keep the legal process moving and ensuring everything stayed on track. Even on the final day, when a few last-minute issues arose, he handled them calmly and carefully between all parties, which made a real difference to getting the sale over the line smoothly.

I spoke to several local agents before choosing Douglas & Gordon and was particularly drawn to their partnership model. That proved to be the right decision - Chris was clearly accountable, well-incentivised, and genuinely cared about the outcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and am extremely grateful for all his work on my sale!

Great management from Lamees

I have received fantastic service in the management of my property from Lamees Kriel. There were some early challenges in the letting process before Lamees was assigned to my case, however since Lamees took over, it has been a vastly improved service. Lamees is proactive and diligent - her support is greatly appreciated.

Questionable transparency re: block management

This is an issue with block management, not renting or buying. When one calls twice (receptionist confirmed 1st message was given) and emailed several times about a squirrel invasion, only to be told no calls were received, nor emails, one has to wonder about the in-house admin of this company. When finally one email was acknowledged as received but because it was sent to two people: one claimed not to have received it and the other said "I thought she (the one who didn't receive it) would deal with it" , one has to wonder just how clumsy excuses can be. This company response to complaints is more "brush it aside", and only after a member of the Residents' Committee let it slip, did I find out the main email was received. Two stars for questionable transparency. It would be one but at least HR did respond to my emails. It took 5 months for the investigation to come to a grinding halt.

Highly recommend Catalina

We can’t recommend Catalina, Senior Lettings Negotiator at Douglas & Gordon, highly enough. Moving from Australia to London is a daunting process, but Catalina made it feel smooth and stress-free from start to finish.

She was incredibly friendly, understanding, and accommodating - particularly around the challenges of relocating internationally, such as not yet having UK banking in place. Catalina truly went above and beyond, replying out of hours to accommodate the time difference with Australia and ensuring the contract and reference checks progressed seamlessly.

Her professionalism, flexibility, and genuine care made a huge difference to our experience. We’re so grateful for her support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, especially to anyone relocating from overseas.

They demanded tax returns and would not be lenient and do bank statements instead, wasted my time. Difficult to deal with and bad communication

Seamless flat sale

Tom Yeomanson at Douglas & Gordon

I bought my Balham flat from Douglas & Gordon over twenty years ago and am very glad that I went back to them to sell it. Tom Yeomanson’s suggestion that I should try to market the property, ravaged by unanticipated structural work, ‘as a shell’ proved to be truly inspired – with prospective buyers flocking to take advantage of this perhaps rare opportunity. While I was 300 miles away in North Wales, Tom steadily steered the sale to a conclusion that left all parties very satisfied. He was an absolute godsend.

Terrible support

Terrible support, discover cockroach when we move in. After 1 month the problem was not solved. I have to pay the rental and an hotel. At the end still have to pay nearly 2 months of rental without having passed 1mn in the apartment. So run away if you are looking for a trust company.

Great experience
